“Aren’t we going to drop by to say goodbye?” Eliana voices as we walk past Carmen’s office door. Honestly, I’m not feeling enthusiastic about it, not one bit.

“We’ve already said goodbye.” I tell her, pulling her along with me without bothering to stop.

“I mean to Carina’s husband. I haven’t gotten the chance to see him yet.”
