CHAPTER 4

My cheeks reddened in excitement when he grabbed my hand, "hold on a second, where are you going to bring me?"

"Isn't it obvious? You are not welcome here anymore so I need to bring you to a safer place!" he said, tightening his grip on me.

He opened his car and gazed at me, "Please get in the car while my father is still inside! If he caught us together, it would be a total mess!"

I went inside his fancy car and he got in the driver's seat. He started the engine of his car and we got off the mansion quickly. He turned his gaze to me and gave me an apologetic grimace.

"First of all, I would like to apologize because of what I said earlier! Truly I tell you, there was not a single day that I missed thinking of you. Ever since we got separated, I was all by myself alone in my room while thinking of our memories together!"

His pleading eyes make me forget what he said to me earlier. However, curiosity filled my mind.

"Why did you leave me without saying goodbye?"

"My father forced me to study in the wolf school in a far place where I learned a lot about things. He told me that I will soon replace him as the Alpha of our pack. As a matter of fact, I just graduated when I received an invitation coming from the Moon Goddess herself, informing me that I need to attend in order to find my fated mate. And since it was your birthday, I accepted the invite, hoping that you would attend and here you are!"

"And you obviously recognize me because of the pendant you gave me?" I asked.

"Of course, that is why I am looking at the neck of all the people who attended until I saw you. I actually intended to give that to you when we were kids because I've had a hunch before that we will see each other again in the future!"

I let out a frustrated sigh. "But I am a curse Omega of the pack and I did not know that I have the blood of a witch running through my vein. Your father is right, I need to die!"

"Please don't say such a harsh thing to yourself. The Moon Goddess said it herself that you are not a pure-blooded witch and you are still considered a wolf!"

"That is now what I heard from the people inside the hall. They are cursing me to death and if you insist on protecting me, your father might get mad at you!"

"No! I will stand by you no matter what happens!"

"By the way, where are we going?"

"You need to relax! I will bring you somewhere safe where no one else is going to disturb us!"

Not too long, we arrived at a very dark place. Matthew then smiled at me and spoke.

"We finally arrived here!"

I gave him a confusing look. "Where are we now?"

Kevin did not answer me, instead, he got off the car and opened the door for me. He reached out his hand and the way he smiled, he was like a prince charming.

I held his hand and got off the car. He took out a handkerchief from his pocket.

"I have a surprise for you, can you close your eyes!"

I feel like my heart is beating so fast out of excitement. Whatever surprise awaits me, I am eager to see it.

He tied up his handkerchief to my eyes and guide me to walk. The smell of fresh flowers has overcome the scent of his perfume. It only took a few steps until we stopped. He slowly removed the handkerchief from my eyes.

"You can now open your eyes!" he whispered.

When I opened my eyes, I saw the enchanted garden where Matthew and I first met. It really brings back the memories of us together and this time, the Enchanted Garden is even more romantic with flowers and candles.

"This is the place where we first met. I arranged everything because I know that we'll meet each other again!"

Tears run down my face due to overwhelming happiness. He then wiped my tears with the handkerchief.

"Why are you crying? We are here to celebrate our reunion!"

Right now, I feel like I am the most beautiful girl on the face of Earth and I am happy that my life is about to change.

"I just can't believe that this is happening!"

"So, I prepared a romantic dinner for both of us today!"

He grabbed my hand again and we went inside the dinner table set-up. Then he pulled out a chair and let me sit. It is like a fancy date with only the two of us. When I opened the food, it was like my favorite beef stake.

I gave him an appreciative grin. "How do you know that it is my favorite food?"

"Have you forgotten? You told me about it when we were still a kid. I can still remember all of the details about that!"

As we go along with our sweet conversation, a very romantic music is played and two violinists arrive.

"What is happening?" I asked in wonder.

He smiled rakishly. "This date will not be exciting if we don't play music while dancing under the moon's light!"

He stood up again and grabbed my hand. We danced together to the tune of the music and I felt it was like a dream come true. His hands are on my waist while mine are on his shoulder. Our eyes locked on each other and we can hear each other's heartbeats.

"Are you happy?" he asked.

"No words can describe how happy I am right now! How I wish that my parents were here to witness me and my mate dancing to the tune of music!"

"I have also heard what happened to them and I feel so sorry. We may not be able to bring them back but I am sure that they are guiding us every step of the way!"

"You are right. All they left for me is unending debt that I need to pay for my aunt for raising me alone and the gown I am wearing today!"

"Don't worry, everything is going to change now. We will break the curse of you and start a new life!"

I saw Matthew tremble in fear as he was looking behind me.

"No way! How can my father finds out that we are here?"
