T H E  W E D D I N G  D A Y . . . .

Maxine was staying in a luxurious hotel to prepare for the wedding. And she's been there for a few of days now. One of the Delgados' staff came to fetch her up so I could relax before the wedding. In Maxine's perspective, they cannot be ashamed if their son's fiancée is not attractive, so they arranged the hotel penthouse so that she could stay comfortably and not disgrace them.

If you ask Maxine, she never imagined she'd be able to stay at this type of hotel. She had no desire for a luxurious lifestyle. That's why she wasn't astonished when she arrived and checked into the hotel. But, if you ask her, this hotel is really stunning and amazing. The accommodation is beautiful, with first and second floors.

The living room is rather big, with two sofas facing one other and a 65-inch smart TV on the other wall. WiFi is also available in the accommodation. Behind the sofas, just a few steps away is the balcony from which you can overlook the entire city. This penthouse likewise includes three bedrooms, two of which are the same size and one that is double the size of the other two. They have their own bathroom as well as a television. This penthouse eclipsed the appearance and size of their parents' house, where she had stayed temporarily after her divorce from Scott.

If she were like most women, she would probably be excited and content with all she sees and encounters right now. Imagine that, although still being disabled, her soon to be husband represents the best that life has to offer. She 's not like the others, though. She basically wants to live a happy and peaceful life. Luxury and wealth are unimportant to her.

He was contemplating something when one of the Delgados' hired helpers cleared her throat.  She said that someone was looking for her outside, and claimed that it was her sister Maxine.

When Laurine, her sister, used her name, she was quite taken aback. She still hasn't acknowledged that from today, onwards, she is Laurine in the eyes of the Delgado family. She was even more shocked when Laurine decided to check into the hotel. She had a lot of guts to come.

Maxine responded to the helper, "All right, allow her in, please. And could you also kindly leave us alone for now, my sister and I will talk about something important?"

The elderly woman said, "Yes, Miss, I can do that," and she proceeded to leave with other helpers and others who were preparing her for the wedding ceremony.

Maxine could see her sister Laurine's astonishment as soon as she walked in. She took a leisurely look at the décor and furniture of the penthouse she was staying. Then, as she turned to look at her elder sister, she noticed that the wedding gown that was meant for her was absolutely lovely on her. She once again experienced the envy she usually had when she saw her sister. She once again glanced around to clear her head since she still had to present herself as a sister who was asking for forgiveness in front of her.

Laurine turned to her sister Maxine after shutting the door and apologized, "Max, I didn't intend to put you in this situation. I know I should be here not you... but mom said..."

Maxine interrupted her, saying, "Sorry? If you truly are sorry, then you should be wearing this dress, then. And maybe you could go down the aisle too. That way, I'll know you're sorry!"

With her jaw clinched and her hands squeezed as if she were going to stab her, Laurine muttered, "Max, I..." She eventually opened her hands once more and started talking, saying, "Actually, Max, I already have a boyfriend. I can't leave him to marry another guy, but you... you are divorced from your husband... "

"Yes, I am a divorced lady; I am separated from my husband, but does that give everyone of you the power to put me in this situation? You didn't even consider how I would feel; you didn't even ask me whether I liked your decisions," Maxine resentedly said her sister.

Her explosion left the room in silence. Maxine spoke up because she was unable to keep her sentiments within any longer. When she finally concluded, "But let us not lament on it anymore. It's already here, I am already in this situation and there's nothing we can do. Just take good care of mom and dad. If it wasn't for their decision, I wouldn't be in this position but you," Maxine turned around and went to the master bedroom to cry once more.

Being married to a disabled guy entails caring for and providing for him nonstop for the rest of the time. She has no choice but to accept her fate, regardless of the way she might feel about it. She seemed to have no choice but to accept them in every situation.

I should not be in this situation; Laurine should. Laurine is really unfair. Both Papa and Mama are really unfair. Why is life so unfair, and why are they both so unfair? Dammit!

She needs to protect her sister and parents. What about her, though? How does she feel about it? Why am I suffering so much? Why am I always unlucky?

How depressing. She was put in this terrible situation by her own parents.

Maxine's wedding ceremony has arrived. Maxine kept her head down even though none of the visitors knew her because she was afraid that they may learn about the switch of brides. She felt bad for doing this.

Despite being a lavish wedding, the ceremony was brief and straightforward. Strangely, her groom, whom was dressed in a mask, did not offer a toast, and nobody ever mentioned it. Perhaps as a result of their fear of him. Despite being a crippled person in a wheelchair, he had a terrible, overwhelming aura. like he wasn't a disabled person.

Maxine was brought to Delgado's residence after the wedding. The same elderly maid who had been with her in the hotel penthouse was around this time. "Miss Laurine, we understand that you are only married to our Master by contract, but since you are now his wife, you can expect the you are entitled to. If you have anything you need, don't be hesitant to summon the maids to ask for help," she said as she rose up to greet her.

At that point, Maxine was extremely weary and worn out, making it difficult for her to grasp what the elderly household servant was saying. Since the night she discovered the details of her planned marriage, he has only now begun to feel better. And planning for this wedding is exhausting. She was emotionally and physically exhausted, and all she wanted to do was sleep.

She desires to spend as much time as possible lying in bed sleeping. But because of the woman in front of her, she is still unable to. She didn't want to simply turn her back on her out of rudeness. That's why she said, "I will remember that, thank you," and nodded when she thought she had finished speaking.

Maxine was unaware that there was a second maid present as the old woman turned to go. She heard him say, "What kind of behavior is that? She acted like she's a princess and Master Treize really married her out of love when we all know, he doesn't really want to marry her," he younger maid said tbefore the older woman turned around.

Because she only wanted to rest and sleep, Maxine didn't pay attention to what the helper said.

She locked the bedroom door as soon as the housekeepers had departed and got into bed to sleep. She didn't give a damn whether she was still wearing her bridal gown since she was too tired to remove it.
