Anna's POV

I stood in Victor's lavish office, my heart pounding in my chest, as the realization sank in. The person I trusted most, the one who had been by Victor's side through thick and thin, was nothing more than a double agent, a traitor working against us all along. The evidence was undeniable, and I felt a mix of anger, betrayal, and disbelief coursing through my veins.

"Markus," I uttered his name, my voice trembling with a mixture of shock and disappointment. "How could you do this? How could you betray us?"

Markus, a man I had known for years and considered a friend, looked at me with cold, calculating eyes. There was no remorse, only a twisted sense of satisfaction in his gaze.
