The night of the trial came and i had prepared. It was immediately announced in the afternoon, same was the arrest. The entire kingdom was in shock about the whole thing. I had just finished eating and once again Theodore was nowhere to be found, Grant was resting in our bedroom and I really didn't find time to worry about him, I'll worry later.

I immediately get up after I finished eating, I left the dinning hall and the moment I shut the door behind me i heard Nyla call my name.

"What?" I answered to her beck.

"Prepare to mourn tonight Adaline, save yourself the trouble and mourn Cole." She said which infuriated me. "Excuse me?" I question.

"Count Maverick is dead." My eyes widened at her revelation. "Stop saying stupid things he paid a visit to the castle a few hours ago. You're wasting my time, I'm going to the court." I say as she grabbed hold of my hand.

"Are you deaf? I said Maverick's dead. Quit whatever you're planning and stay put, I order you as your Luna." My hand
