3: Head on his chest

Agnella dropped her cutleries and stood up once she heard this.

“What do you mean by giving you three children? Am I some baby breeder?” She asked, her voice raising with each word.

Draven kept eating from his food, unconcerned about her outburst.

“There is no way in hell I'm giving to give you what you want,” Agnella sat down and fold her arms.

“The food is getting cold, I don't eat this late, but I'm eating past midnight because of you, you should at least appreciate my act of kindness Agnella,” Draven said, speaking like a gentleman. Agnella almost mistook him for one.

“I didn't ask for this shitty food... I only asked you for one th…”

“Eat,” Draven ordered, staring up at her.

Agnella picked up her cutleries and resumed her meal at his command, she didn't know how he was doing it, but she felt that he was somehow controlling her.

Draven dropped his cutleries, moved a little bit and rolled up his sleeves.

“There is something you might not know, I guess Araceli said nothing of this to you.” Draven started.

“You are my mate, Agnella. You, Agnella Maso are my mate, and you must stay under my command.”

Agnella frowned as she looked up from her meal. What rubbish is he spitting? She wondered.

“Araceli deceived you, she did not only deceive you, but she also deceived my entire clan and ran away with you when you were only three months old. And she shall get her reward once caught.”

“What rubbish?” Agnella spat, standing up once again.

“Stop speaking that way of my mother, she's not a devil like you people. She doesn't do bad things as you guys do.” Agnella yelled.

“I'm not a person, Agnella. That's the first mistake, her first deceit. She didn't reveal your true identity to you, she kept you locked in for so many years.” Draven continued, standing up on his foot and moving closer to Agnella.

All this while, Agnella still couldn't make out what Draven truly looked like because he is always in the dark. But she could make out his broad shoulders. Strong arms, tall frame. Big muscles and a very deep voice.

“What do you mean by that?”

“I mean to say that your mother is a liar.” Draven told and that got Agnella angrier, she made to pounce on him but held herself back.

She is always getting angry or scared around him, she noticed.

This man is no good for me, I need to do everything possible to get away from him. Agnella reminded herself as he kept coming closer.

“Your mother only told you that I am an Alpha. She didn't tell you where I come from…”

“You come from hell.” Agnella snapped, interrupting him.

“That is the way she coated it, then she asked you never to involve yourself with me. She made you vow to always live in hiding, she hid you for years.” Draven said. Agnella noticed how his tone constantly changed from soft to rough.

“She didn't force me, okay? She didn't!” Agnella slammed her fist on the table.

“She did. Your mother is the one from hell, she is the real devil.” Draven retorted, taking one last step towards her.

Agnella yelled out in rage and lifted her hand in the air to punch him, but couldn't do it.

Tears gathered around her eyes and rolled down her cheek as she stared back at the figure staring down at her.

“Your mother Araceli worked for my father 300 years ago. She worked as a servant and eventually got pregnant for my father's Beta.

A witch foresaw the future of her child and revealed it to everyone, she was going to give birth to a girl. A girl with white hair, she will be half human and half wolf. That is because your mother is a human and your father a wolf.

And that girl is to be my mate. The only mate I'm to have in this lifetime, usually, royal blood gets at least two mates because of their special blood, but it was strange that I only got one mate.

We didn't investigate further though, my mother and father decided to leave it as it is and wait for your arrival, but your mother suddenly vanished one night and to date, I never set my eyes on her.

Your mother betrayed my entire clan who fed and clothed her, your mother betrayed the only person she loved, your father. I don't know her reasons and I don't ever want to find out, all I want to do to her is kill her.

I want her maimed for making me go through hell looking for you. I searched for centuries and only found you now, if you think I'm ever going to let you go freely, he took his hand to her shoulder. If you think I'll let you escape from me, then the heavens must be playing tricks on you.” A sudden pause.

“As long as I, Daven Talon Yandel am alive, you will never escape. It's either you accept my offer to give me children as I suggested, or you stay here until the day you die as my mate. Do you understand me now?” Daven shook her slightly, gazing deeply into her teary eyes.

Fear overwhelmed Agnella as soon as Draven held her shoulder, she was unable to speak even when she wanted to scream for him to let her go.

Then she saw his eyes shine bright red, it was like an electric bulb, something she had never witnessed in her life or perhaps is that contact lens?

No, contact lens doesn't shine this way. Agnella kept staring into his blazing red eyes, then it suddenly turned bright grey.

Her heart fell, and she made to escape from him, but his grip on her shoulder was too strong.

Agnella unconsciously moved closer to him, she placed her head on his chest and closed her eyes.

Then she fainted, passing out in his arms.

She started sliding to the floor, but before her knees could get to the floor, he caught her!
