I watched in heartbreak as my girl went round the corner, leaving me forever. I know it was my choice, but it still bought pain like I had never felt before. I knew she was leaving, Julia had come to rip me a new one when she found out we broke up. I couldn’t even defend myself. I was never gonna find another woman like her. She was everything, my whole world. I loved her, more than I loved any other person. I couldn’t even tell her.

After Buzz had asked me what was going to happen between us, I spent the next hour sitting alone in the dark, in the kitchen. I needed to think.
