Penetrating The Darkness

Zale got back his consciousness which made him slowly unlatch his lashes. He opened his eyes and his gaze met with nothing except darkness. He blinked and tried to move but that was where a sharp pain engulfed almost each and every part of his body, especially his head and arm. He growled in pain and attempted to clutch his head but a sound of iron chains rustling echoed in that darkness, making him aware that his arms were tied with them so that he couldn't move.

Clenching his jaw, Zale started wiggling in those chains aggressively when suddenly a dim light shot open, penetrating that voracious darkness.

"So my dear cousin is finally awake,"

That voice made Zale snap his head upward and his bloodshot eyes filled with a rapacious deadliness by watching the owner of that voice who stepped inside through the door.

A cunning smirk was playing on Blake's face as he approached Zale whose wrists and legs were chained and the iron chains were attached to the walls.
