I Don't Know

"Cia..."

He heard her soft and gentle voice telling him while she gazed at him with her wide blue orbs.

"Isn't it beautiful?" she asked, batting her long lashes at him. His jaw tightened at her words.

"Everyone tells me my name is just as beautiful as me," she informed him, happily, making him growled. His nostrils flared. He was a second away from choking her for running her mouth so much.

"Boss, let me handle her please," Violet jumped into the matter, understanding the situation that now that little naive girl was testing his patience.

He gawked into her innocuous azure eyes which were still staring at him confused but not afraid. She was not looking afraid of him, even after he was so close to her, instead she was staring at him curiously. Now what kind of human she was?

He gave her a warning glare before maintaining his stature and then dashing out of that room.

"Why is he making such rude and scary faces like someone has put a cactus in his pants?"

Violet gasped whereas Richard became stunned at her remark on their boss. They both shared a shocking glance with each other before looking at that pouting tiny human who was sitting on the bed and was glaring at the door.

"Girl, keep your mouth shut, if you don't want to die in his hands at this age," Richard warned her but she turned her glare at him.

"And why would that scary pig kill me? I haven't done anything bad to him," she justified herself.

Violet gulped whereas Richard rubbed his palm over his head.

"Violet, control her mouth before he hears her," Richard spat, exasperated and then walked out of the door.

"But I haven't said anything wrong. He does look like a pig when he flares his nostrils so much," she puckered her plump lips.

Violet was bewildered by her comments on him. Almost each and every human who had seen him was terrified of him but at the same time, enthralled by his demeanour and evillishly bewitching presence but there she was...calling him a scary pig. She really wasn't in love with her life or else, her way of looking at people and things were a little different from others.

Exhaling a firm breath, Violet tried to sit beside her and she immediately made a space for her to sit by moving away. Violet saw her smiling at her. She really was an adorable piece of humankind but was present at a most inhuman place or she could say.. closer to the most inhuman presence.

"Cia, now I'll ask you some questions and you're going to answer them to me, honestly. Okay?" Violet said and watched her staring at her for a while before nodding in agreement.

"Okay, so first tell me. Who were those men and why were they running behind you?"

Violet saw an instant fear emerge in her sapphire eyes as soon as she asked her that.

"I don't know those bad people. I...I was sitting on the bench of that park and they came to me and started s.. saying really very bad things to me," her eyes watered whereas her voice started shivering in fear.

"They even tried to t.. touch me when I told them to stay away from me and then I ran away from them because they were looking bad and evil but they followed me and then I bumped into someone's car and I don't remember anything after that," she answered, honestly.

Violet sighed. She didn't even remember that car was his. She had bumped against his car and he had taken her here.

"Did those men harm you in any way?" She questioned, mindful of her words to not make her more afraid. Violet saw her shrugging her head.

"They told me they were going to do so much fun with me tonight and I know they wanted to do that bad thing with me, so I ran away from them as fast as I could," a tear slipped down from her rosy cheeks and Violet didn't know why it affected her. Maybe because she had just seen her beautiful smile until now.

"Hey, it's okay. Those men will get their punishment for trying to hurt you, Cia," Violet tried to assure that poor girl.

She nodded before wiping her tears with the back of her palm.

"Good but now tell me, where is your home and your parents? They must be looking for you,"

Violet saw her turn stiff at her question. She looked at her like a statue before her eyes filled with more tears again.

"I have no home,"

Violet turned startled at the new piece of information.

"And your parents?" She further asked and watched her taking her head down.

"I don't know," she answered, looking down. Violet was stunned at the revelation.

"Then where do you live and with whom?"

Violet saw her start fiddling with her fingers and she answered without taking her head up

"I live in the streets and I have been homeless since the day I started understanding the things and people around me. I have no one,"

Now that was something Violet had never expected. He needed to know about this.

"Cia, don't go out of this room. I will come back soon, okay?"

She gazed at Violet, cluelessly before nodding and saw Violet leaving that room.

As soon as she saw Violet completely vanishing from her eyesight. She took her head up and looked at the ceiling above her. She clutched both of her ears with her palms.

"Sorry, meemee for lying," a tear escaped from her eyes as she apologised to her mother. For her it was a harmless little lie but she didn't even have a single clue what her little lie was going to cost her in the coming future.

"Yes, boss. She said she is homeless and has no one. She doesn't know about her parents,"

His stone hard expressions turned more firm at Violet's words.

"I think the girl is harmless, boss," Richard agreed with Violet in front of their boss.

"She looks like a teenager and her behaviour doesn't even look suspicious,"

"Yes, boss. She said, since the day she has started understanding the things around her, she is a homeless and has no one,"

He silently heard their each and every word before snapping his gaze at Violet.

"Take her here,"

Violet gulped at his curt tone and by finding that rapicious expression hovering over his face.

"Now, I will ask some questions to her," his lips twitched into a predatory grin.

Violet nodded and then walked out of that room. He leaned his back against the chair he was sitting and closed his eyes while moving the paperweight on the desk before him with his palm.

Richard gazed at his every action. He was looking more calm than usual which was not a good sign. His calmness was like a calmness before a deadly storm. Hope that storm didn't burst out on that poor harmless girl.

He stopped moving that paperweight when he heard those gentle footsteps getting closer to him. He moved forward his head and then opened his eyes only to meet with those sapphire eyes which were staring at him a little displeased.

She was standing at his door and by staring at her annoyed frown, he had already guessed she was still not afraid of him, instead was displeased with his presence before her.

"Come," Violet told who was holding her arm. She stepped inside the door and Violet walked beside her.

He watched her curious azure eyes scan her entire surrounding before they got fixed at him. Interesting, she found the place more intriguing than him.

He leaned forward and then wandered his gaze all over her body which was covered in a black ankle length jeans and red top and finally stopped at her blue shining crystals on her tiny face.

"What is your name?" He again asked her that question.

She became more annoyed. He had a short term memory loss or what? She had just told him her name.

"My name is Cia,"

His grin stretched into a more vicious smirk.

"What is your name?" He again stated that question to her. Now her annoyance turned into a tiny anger.

"C...I....A.....Cia..." she spelled out her name, making Richard bewildered and Violet gulped at her way of responding.

His expression still remained unchanged at her tone and answer.

"Cia, he is asking about your full name," Violet murmured closer to her ear, before her boss could kill her for annoying him so much.

"Oh..." her angry expression turned into a soft one again, hearing Violet. She looked at that huge size demon before her and answered.

"I don't know my surname," she said, folding her tiny finger secretly. He turned a little more amused at her answer.

"And what is your parents name?" He queried further, still staring at her.

"I don't know," her answer was still the same and her little finger was still folded.

Now he leaned back a little against his chair.

"How old are you?" He uttered, calmly.

"I8,"

Her instant reply and answer widened his smirk.

"And how do you know about your age if you have no one to tell you about this?"

This question of his turned her speechless. He was sure she wouldn't have the answer to his question and then he would surely slit her throat and take out her real identity and truth from her because he was sure she was hiding something.

"Just like I know my name is Cia, I know I am 18 years old because I remember a blurry memory about a woman who used to call me Cia and she had told me I was 7 years old that time and it was almost 12 years ago so according to that calculation I am 18 years old now," she described him.

Her story intrigued him. She was really ready with all her answers.

"And who was that woman and where is she now?"

This time he noticed his question made her eyes turn gloomy and slightly watery.

"She left me alone when I was 7 and she didn't take me with her,"

He peered into her glossy eyes like she was saying those words through her soul.

"And where is she now and what is her name?"

A tear slipped down from her eyes which she immediately wiped and replied.

"I don't remember anything more than my name and age," she answered, looking down.

He stared at her lowered head before uttering.

"And from where did you get these clothes if you're homeless and have no one?"

This time, she took her eyes up and looked at him.

"That granny gave me this to wear today in the morning when I was sitting on that street. She also gave some money,"

He slightly tilted his head and again scanned her attire which was looking clean and new.

"And I hope you remember that woman's name because you were 18 this morning?"

Her gaze turned into a glare at his taunting words. He was just waiting for her to make a single mistake and then he would decide what to do with her

"Yes, her name was Cassie. She took me to her home and gave me her granddaughter's clothes to wear because my previous clothes had turned very dirty and even ripped. She even gave me food to eat,"

He heard her explanation before stretching his head towards Richard's direction who understood his boss's signal and nodded

"Can you tell me that woman's address?" Richard asked her. She bobbed her head and narrated him the direction to that woman's house.

Richard left after that and then she saw him getting up from his chair. He took his long strides towards her, slowly and was about to walk past her but stopped beside her.

"If that woman told even a slightly different story than yours," he paused and tilted his head to look at her where he saw those sapphire eyes already on him.

"This night would be the last night of your life," he rasped in his extremely hoarse voice before walking out from there.

She sighed as soon as he left and closed her eyes. She didn't know what else that night was going to bring to her and for that, she now just had to wait and watch.....
