Two

When his friends had decided to drag him out to this place, Kachi already knew that it was a bad idea. He was even more annoyed that now they were here, all they'd wanted to talk about were the latest women they were seeing, cars and other trivial things. Things that they could have talked about at Chike's place where they had originally gathered.

Today had been particularly stressful for him and all he wanted to do was have a drink with his guys and then fall into bed. Now he was here in this stuffy place and the flashing lights and smoke was giving him a headache.

He sighed for the third time that night as he stared longingly at the door. He couldn't leave because his stupid friends had taken a VIP booth and had placed him in the middle. The only way he could leave was if they stood up to let him pass, which wasn't happening no matter how hard he tried.

"These Lagos girls are on another level," Chike, one of his friends said as he placed his empty glass down.

Kachi followed his friend's gaze to the raised dais where two half naked women were dancing. One was extremely curvy and had a backside that could stand bottle. The other was slim but still had nice curves giving her an hourglass figure. He noticed it was the slimmer female that was garnering the most attention, even though the bigger one was shaking her ass like no man's business.

"I told you he'd like this," Azu laughed and reached over to slap Chike on the back. The other man choked on his drink and began to cough while Azu kept on hitting him, oblivious to his friend's pain.

In his group of friends, Azu was the wildest and loudest. The man could talk! He was also big on hand gestures and grabbing people when he talked. Chike was also as wild, but the man had limits. And it was just his luck that he was sitting in between the two mad people.

Kachi turned to the man on the other side of Chike, Bode who was probably the only sane person in their group. Currently, Kachi was questioning that sanity because the man had also supported this idea.

"Are you enjoying yourself? This is not your usual scene," he said to the man.

"How would you know?" Azu nudged him with his shoulder. "You're never out with us. Bode goes to all the hot spots in town!"

Bode grinned. "I would have preferred a bar though. The lights and music here is a little bit over the top."

"But not the women, right?" Chike grinned at Bode, his choking spree apparently over.

Bode's smile was bright enough to blind as he revealed his perfect white teeth. "The women are fineeee."

"Look at these boys oo." Azu waved his hand to a group of guys on the other side of the VIP area. "See them lighting anyhow. They don't even know the real men are here."

Kachi knew what his friend was about to do. He groaned and held on to Azu's hand before he waved over one of the servers. "No, don't do it Azu! We're not kids."

"Let him be. What's the use of making all these money if he can't spend it." Chike waved the server over. "How much is your most expensive drink here?" he asked the young man who came to them.

He held up a finger as he replied. "One million sir."

"One million naira?"

"Yes sir." He nodded.

"Get a casket here, twelve bottles complete. Make sure you turn off the lights and sound that your alarm," Azu said. "Let them know that we're here."

"What name should we use, sir?"

"Bring out that your pen and write. We're four here."

The server brought out a pen and a jotter, his smile was huge now. Kachi slapped a hand on his forehead. Twelve million naira was about to disappear, just on drinks he knew they wouldn't even finish. This was just to oppress the other group and the only person who would benefit from it was the club owner.

"Oya write. Azu, Chi billion, Big Bode and Agu."

The server took notes and Kachi groaned again. "really? Agu? You know I don't like that name."

His friends ignored him as they continued to converse with the server.

"Those girls dancing? The two on the stage and that other two up in those cages. Get them, let's spend on them."

"Yes sir."

"The girls?" Bode's eyes were wide now as he sat up in his seat. Only minutes ago he was complaining about the music and lights, now at the mention of women, the man seemed to have gained energy.

"Kachi, don't chase them off with that frown," Chike said to him. "We all know you love women no matter how much you try to look indifferent. Also, don't be an asshole."

"We're just here to have fun," Azu intoned.

"What does that mean?" Kachi frowned. "are you guys trying to say I dull your parole?"

"No, not that." Chike patted him on the back. "To us you're the nicest person, but you look mean and cold to outsiders. You rarely even smile in public and sometimes your words just cut people."

He looked to Bode and his friend was nodding. "for real?"

"Yes. Only one look from you and those pretty ladies will run off," Azu said.

"I'm not that bad. I do know I don't like socializing that well-"

"Try at all," Chike cut him off. "You don't like socializing at all."

"This is not work where you make your employees panic, eh. Just try and relax. Enjoy the night." Azu patted his shoulder.

"Just try smiling a little," Bode advised.

"Wow." Kachi shook his head. "you guys are really brutal."

The club lights went off as the first alarm started sounding. They heard the MC next as his voice boomed through the mic.

"The real Eko boys are in the building. If you don't know these men then you don't know anybody..."

"And it begins," Kachi sighed and then leaned back in his seat as camera flashes began to go off. His friends were famous for this at almost all the top clubs in Lagos. Girls were already crowding as the MC called their names and began to hype them.
