SEBASTIAN’s POV..
My Beta stormed into the pack house.
I looked up at him questioningly. I was seated on a chair in the lounge. I was getting some paperwork done. Lately, a lot of contracts from other packs had been coming in for the Pixon pack.
Michael looked serious. Something must have happened. He was a tall man with hair as dark as the night. His body build was massive and intimidating. His cargo pants and sleeveless top complimented the image that he was passing across.
I dropped the papers I had been trying to go through and got to my feet. I grew more serious as I watched him.
"Alpha Sebastian," he began breathlessly.
"What happened?" I demanded. His demeanor gave away the secret.
Michael approached me. "We ran into some rogue wolves at the north wall," he began. He folded his arms and stopped before me.
On close inspection, I noticed scratches on his neck. There were still traces of blood on his skin. The rogues must have put up a really big fight. Normally, Michael never had to try so hard. He always put down his enemies in one go.
"This close? They never dare come here because they know we'll finish them off," I retorted in surprise.
We always faced rogues on adventures outside the wall. The rogue wolves were outcasts. They had no pack and it was where the worst wolves could be found. They usually attacked us whenever we were outside our calls and would never come this close to our wall.
Only if they had a death wish or they had something big backing them up. I furrowed my brows at the thought. Was something big coming?
"So, did you take care of them?" I asked.
There was another reason why I hated rogues. It was rumored that they were behind the true Alpha and his daughter's death thirteen years ago. My father was left with no choice but to inherit the title for the safety of our pack.
His reign was over now and I was in charge of protecting the people. I could not let the rogues anywhere close to our walls. I could not afford to allow the mistake that happened for thirteen years to repeat itself.
"We did our best. We were able to capture three. The rest got away. I could not even tell how many of them were present at the attack," Michael confessed.
I nodded my head in understanding. This meant that they were different from the rogues we knew or they had grown and changed. This was only bad news for me. But the fact that Michael had captured them was going to help us learn more about the mysterious rogues.
"Where are you keeping them?" I demanded.
Michael released his hands. The tension he felt before had started wearing off. Although, his face was still wet with sweat.
"The dungeons," he answered.
I packed up the papers I had been dealing with. I was wearing a dark top and a pair of cargo pants just like Michael.
"Take me to them. I would like to ask them a few questions," I instructed.
Michael nodded. "I doubt if you'll get anything out of it but do question them," Michael voiced out before giving in anyway.
He gestured at the way forward. I followed him. We walked out of the pack house. The gates were still ten meters away and there was still a lot more space behind the pack house. That was where the underground dungeons were situated.
The past Alphas had deemed it fit to have the dungeon underground. This would prevent easy escapes or break-ins since there was only one way in and one way out.
Michael led me to the back of the building. There was a small house that could not have been bigger than five square meters. There were guards at the entrance as well as around the building. The small building was a camouflage for the real entrance to the dungeon.
When the guards spotted Michael and me, they pulled the doors open without questions and allowed us in. We stepped into the small house. There were some chairs arranged with torture equipment on the table. This was to confuse whoever came to break a person out.
Michael led me to the kitchen which had a basement. He pushed it open and the stairs led below into the darkness.
As a child, coming here brought fear to my heart but the day I found out what was inside, I only scoffed. It was never a scary pit for a monster in the end. It was just a boring old cell.
Michael exhaled and entered the darkness. I followed him in and the deeper we got, the more our eyes adjusted to the darkness and we started to see clearly. It was one of the advantages of being a werewolf. We could see clearly even in the dark.
We reached the end of the staircase. There was another door. Michael pulled it open and it opened up into a large room that had multiple cells arranged in a way that a breakout was impossible.
There was a large space in the center for walking through the cell rooms. Stone and iron bars were the most used materials for building this place.
The moment we stepped in, we heard a woman's voice vibrating with anger as she yelled at someone.
Michael gave me a look and sighed. I figured he knew who it was. It had to be one of the rights they brought back. So they managed to capture a female rogue. Interesting.
We kept walking down the large space and made turns until we reached the cell where the noise was coming from.
I spotted a woman with long wavy hair. She wore a faded t-shirt and a pair of pants. She had boots on and her voice carried authority as she spoke.
For a moment, I got affected by her words and I felt compelled to heed her bidding. Only Alphas had this power over their pack members. She was not one of us, neither was sue an alpha. We had never heard of a female alpha too. Why then was her aura and mood affecting me this?
"Let my friends go! You cannot keep us here as you please!" she exclaimed.
"What is going on here?" I demanded as I approached them.
Michael turned to the other guards. "What have you not tried to shut her up? She's causing too much noise!" he ordered.
The men cowered under his gaze. Until one of them found the courage to speak.
"We tried but we could not. I don't know how she's doing it. She's scary!" The man exclaimed and hurried away from the cell.
I raised my brows at her. "Who are you?" I demanded.
"Who's asking?" She answered my question with a question.
She glared straight into my eyes. Her ocean-blue eyes made her look different from most of the women I had encountered. I was intrigued by her. I wanted to know what she had up her sleeves.
"Show some respect!" Michael yelled.
I placed a hand on Michael's shoulder. "I am Alpha Sebastian of the Pixon Pack," I answered her.
"Oh, so you are the Alpha? I've heard a lot about you. You're not so intimidating up close," she stated and I watched a smile creep up her face.
She was the one on the bad end yet she made it seem like she was better off than we were. She was not even scared that I could go angry and demand her head in a plate. Her level of confidence was something I wanted to learn from.
"I'm sorry to disappoint you. I told you my name, it's time for you to do the same," I shot back.
She scoffed and rolled her eyes before looking back at him. "Apology not accepted," she added and folded her arms together.
Her smile never faltered. She knew exactly what she was doing. She was teasing me. She was trying to toy with me.
"I asked you a question," I asked again.
She tilted her head at me before signing. "I'm Hailee," she answered.
I raised my brows at her. "Come on darling, you can do better than that. Your full name? Your pack? Your purpose at the walls?" I demanded hoping that she would start spilling everything.
But instead, the woman in the cell placed a hand on her hips stylishly. "I won't tell you anything. Release my friends immediately!" She exclaimed and the guards covered their ears in pain.
I stared at her for a long time. I was more than intrigued by her. I needed to keep her by my side until I got all the information I wanted to get from her. I suddenly broke into laughter.
"You are quite interesting. I think I'll keep this one," I told Michael.
"I'm not a thing to be kept!" She exclaimed.
"We'll see about that," I said. Then I turned to Michael. "Give me the keys to her cell," I instructed him.
"What are you saying? She's dangerous. You cannot—" Michael stopped halfway when he saw the way I was glaring at him.
He gave me the keys in defeat. I unlocked the door. Hailee stared at me in surprise and I did not give her the chance to speak.
I approached her and swiftly lifted her off the ground. I placed her on my shoulders and took off.
"What the fuck? Put me down! Let me go!" Screamed but I paid no attention to her screams.
I already had the best punishment for her in mind and I smiled as I carried her away.
HAILEE’s POVI screamed as the Alpha carried me away."Let me go! You freak! Release me this instant! Where are you taking me?" I screamed but the Alpha did not care.I had to admit that I had come here with something planned out but I had not expected it to take this turn. Yes, I was Hailee; the true heir to the throne. Thirteen years ago, Sebastian's father murdered my father who was the Alpha at the time. He also stabbed me and chased me to end my life. This was only because he did not like the idea of me inheriting my father's title as his only child. Beta Riley had not liked the idea of a woman ruling the pack and he clearly had his own ambitions as well. He always wanted power and he was ready to achieve that power by all means possible. His ambitions had cost my father his life and I had almost lost mine. That night of my escape, I was found by the rogue werewolves and they were the ones who took me in. They got the poison out of me and treated me like one of their own. They
HAILEE. I growled in anger as I watched him walk towards the doorway but my anger was quickly cut short. "You dare not growl at your superior. Have you lost your senses?!" Her eyes burned, her jaws tightening. I rolled my eyes at her, crossing my hands but that's when it happened. The slap from the woman had me cradling my burning cheek in pain. I was shocked at her sudden reaction, and all I could do was stare at her in pure hate, wanting to strike her back. But I remembered why I was here- the reclaim the throne which rightfully mine. Retaliating would not only get the Alpha raging, but I might find myself behind the bars again, ultimately thwarting the plan to gather the needed evidence against him and strike while the rod was hot. I needed to take my time, play the good girl and watch how things would turn out from there on. "Get out of my sight, you insolent can't!" She kept hurling vile words at me and I knew I had to leave. "Excuse me," I growled, hurrying to the bathroom.
SEBASTIAN."Don't kill her! Don't try it." My wolf yelled from within, obviously worried at the rage that had engulfed me. I couldn't think clearly and wanted to kill her. Her audacity infuriated me the most. She thought she was sleek, that she could do what she wanted and get away with it. The image of my dead guards found its way back to my mind, angering me the more. How she had managed to kill some of my finest guards on her own was something I couldn't fathom, but I was going to make her pay until the last guard there was avenged. I growled in anger as my wolf began to tug relentlessly in a bid to take over and stop me from killing her. The pain stopped me immediately and I let go of her neck before grabbing her up roughly, hurling her across my shoulder. "Stay back and watch. We need to make sure she didn't contact her Kind while on the run. The rest of you, gather the dead guard and have their bodies readied. They will be burnt tonight." I commanded the guards before I star
HAILEE.I woke up the next day feeling a bit better but every part of my body screamed with soreness. The pain from the punishment still lingered, and I knew he would gladly punish me more and more if given the chance. I even began to wonder why I had done it, why I had even thought of running when I knew there was no way I could escape him. B-but I was on the verge of escaping, I was almost there when he caught up. The fight with the guards, crashing face first, the punishment, and Mrs. Aria exiting the room. The memories all came crashing back. I wondered why she had suddenly turned kind. It surprised me because she hadn't been that way when we first met. I couldn't fathom her intentions but I was ready to observe and find out what her intentions were. I groaned, lifting myself from the bed with a lot of effort. The sun was already shining through the curtains. Sitting up and looking around the room, I began to remember even more clearly the chain of events that had led to my f
SEBASTIAN. "I hate you, you're a snake! A liar! A cheat!! You have ruined everything we have had just because of this bastard slut!" I stared down at Clara who raved and pushed and cursed. She was heartbroken when she entered the room, after a very pleasurable bout with the rogue girl. She was in one corner of the room, crying her eyes out. Clara continued the curses but her words barely registered as I slid on my pants. Yes, I had betrayed her, there was no way I could deny it. But I simply couldn't resist. Ever since I had stripped her and whipped her at the dungeon, I had been searching for a way to have a taste of the beauty, and that was the only time possible considering she was vulnerable and owed me an apology for trying to kill me. And fuck, she was tight! A smack across my chest brought me back to the present. Clara was still ranting. "Hey, honey." I said, cupping both sides of her tear-filled face. "It's okay. We will get through this together. I did my best but she
I caught myself staring at the distance a second time. I threw my head back on the seat and let out a very long sigh, wiping off the perspiration that had gathered on my forehead.I was sitting in my office going through the endless pile of documents that needed my signature, my mind kept drifting back to Hailee. I couldn't help but think about her constantly. The thought of losing her to another man scared me more than anything else. She used to be the Alpha of our pack, before the Pixen Pack had her. I still remembered the day she went on that mission with the other rogues like it was yesterday, and never came back. I was so worried about her. I paced back and forth in my office, unable to focus on anything else until I heard news of her safety. When I finally received the news that she had been found and rescued, I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. But now, as I sat in my office going through the pile of documents, I couldn't help but feel exhausted. My eyes fe
As I turned to walk down the passageway, I was interrupted by Michael. "Alpha, we have another problem," he said, his voice tense."What is it?" I asked, already sensing that something was wrong."Rogues have been spotted at the borders again," Michael said. "We sent a group to check them out and they are still on their way. ."My anger flared at the news and the audacity of these rogues. The audacity to keep creeping back even after their kind had been arrested and dealt with. "Gather the Warriors," I said, my voice cold and commanding. "We'll search every inch of the borders until we find them."Michael nodded and hurried off to carry out my orders. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. I knew that I needed to be careful not to let my emotions get the better of me. I couldn't afford to make any mistakes if I wanted to keep my pack safe.As I walked down the passageway, my thoughts were consumed by the young rogue girl I had just handed over to the woman. I wondered if sh
I was still in pain and recovering from the torture Sebastian had inflicted on me. The slightest movement caused me to wince in pain. I knew that I had to be patient and allow myself to heal, but little did I know that another pain was coming my way.Clara came into my room, looking even angrier than the last time we spoke. She grabbed me by the hair, and before I could even react, she slammed my head against the wall. My head spun, and I felt like I was going to pass out. But Clara wasn't done yet.She started hitting me so hard that I couldn't even defend myself. Each blow felt like a hammer hitting me. I tried to scream, but the pain was too much. I couldn't understand why Clara was doing this to me. I knew that we had our disagreements, but this was too much. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore. The anger inside me boiled over, and I hit her back. I didn't even realize what I was doing until I saw the blood gushing out of her nose. Clara fainted at the spot, and I didn't know what
