"Grandma Grandma!" A five years old Thea shouted excited. Her two pigtails bouncing as she jumped up and down in excitement.
"Slow down Thea." Her grandma said laughing at her excited face.
"Grandma please tell me a story." Thea asked her grandma with a little pout on her face. She looked at her grandma with puppy eyes to melt her.
"Which story you want to hear my child." Grandma asked as she caressed Thea's head.
Thea thought for few seconds before she answered, "The Story of the sleeping lycans!" She shouted excited.
"Okay, let me wear my glasses first." Her grandmother said and wore her glasses.
The grandma smiled at her granddaughter and started telling her the story. "So once upon a time there lived lycans who used to hurt everyone. Everyone were scared of them. They used to hurt humans. They all were cruel."
"Humans were scared of those lycans. They used to hide in their houses so that the lycans couldn't hurt them. However, The cruelty of the lycans kept increasing day by day. They used to have fun by troubling the humans and making them hurt." The grandma said.
Little Thea listened to her grandma with full attention.
"Why did the lycans hurt humans grandma?" Thea asked innocently.
"Because they were powerful sweetheart. They used to exercise their powers on humans because it would make them feel stronger. They used to hurt humans because it would give them pleasure." Her grandma told her.
"They are bad." Thea mumbled.
Grandma smiled at Thea. "They are." She said.
"What happened after that grandma?" Thea asked.
"All the lycans had a Leader. He was the King for them. The lycans used to listen to all his command and would bow down to him only. He was their ruler, their ultimate King." The grandma told Thea.
"Was he good or bad grandma?" Thea asked looking at her grandma with wide eyes.
"He was neither bad or cruel." Grandma said.
"He was worse." She whispered.
Thea's eyes widen hearing her grandma.
"He was the most ruthless lycan to be ever present on the earth, the most cruel soul ever to be found. He was the strongest of all. He had the whole world under his control. Everyone including the humans and lycans bowed down to him." Grandma told.
Thea clutched her grandma's hand feeling scared.
"Even the lycans were scared of him. They used to shake in fear at the sight of him. Even is shadow used to make the lycans scared." She revealed.
Thea looked at her grandma scared.
"If the lycans were cruel than he was brutal. If the humans were scared of the lycans then the monsters were terrified of him. If the lycans used to find fun in others pain than he used to find immense pleasure in others suffering and pain. If the lycans were heartless than he had no heart." Grandma said.
"He was worse than the lycans. He was the King of the lycans." Grandma told.
"I am scared grandma." She mumbled. She rubbed her eyes as she was feeling sleepy.
"You should now sleep sweetheart. I will continue the story tomorrow." Grandma said and was about to get up when Thea hold her hand in her little ones and stopped her. "No Grandma, please continue the story. I am not sleepy." She said and gave her puppy eyes.
"You are getting scared Thea. You will wet your bed if I continue the story." Grandma said.
"I don't wet my b-bed grandma." Thea said with red cheeks. "And I am a big girl now and big girls don't get scared of anything, not even the lycans." Thea said and giggled at her own words.
Grandma sighed. She knows she can't win against her granddaughter.
She started telling the story to Thea. "The humans were becoming helpless and weak day by day. The lycans were becoming more cruel and cruel. It was scaring the humans. One day they decided that they had enough. They all planned to put the lycans in sleep, a life long sleep. They knew they couldn't win against the lycans if they decided to fight them because the lycans were hundred times stronger than the humans." Grandma said.
"How did the humans put the lycans into sleep grandma?" Thea asked, her big eyes were shining with curiosity.
"There was a saying that the lycans could be put to sleep by a woman who was blessed by Gods. It was said that woman's of a particular family were blessed by the Gods. Every female who is born in their family is blessed by the Gods with some special powers." Grandma said.
"The woman had magical powers?" Thea asked excited. She clapped her hands in excitement.
"You can say that." Grandma said.
"They all started searching for that woman. They all were failing miserably. There was no trace of such a woman who was blessed by God. They thought there is no such thing as a woman blessed by God and it was all false." Grandma said.
Thea became sad hearing it.She wanted the woman with magically powers to be true.
"Until one day, the humans finally found that woman. With the help of that woman, they tricked the lycans and put them in a long life sleep." Grandma told her.
"The humans than started living their lives peacefully. There was harmony and peace everywhere. Everyone were happy in their life. The lycans were asleep and the humans got their happy ending." Grandma finished the story.
"I love this story grandma!" Thea exclaimed.
Grandma laughed at Thea.
"Grandma what if the lycans wake up?" Thea asked fearfully.
"Then hell will broke loose my child. Everything will be destroyed. There will be chaos and blood everywhere. The earth will be once again ruled by the monsters." Grandma said. Her voice was laced with fear.
Thea looked at her grandma scared.
"Don't worry my child, if the lycans wake up again than we will put them into sleep again." Grandma said making Thea giggle. Thea nodded happily.
"But grandma for that we need the woman who is blessed by Gods. Where will we find her?" Thea asked worried.
"God will help us find her Thea. He will show us a way. " Grandma said.
Thea nodded happily. She wants to meet the woman with magical powers.
"Grandma how will the lycans wake up?" Thea asked with curiosity shining in her big eyes.
"There's a legend that say that the blood of the innocent soul will wake the lycan King up. The soul should be untainted, pure and innocent." Grandma told her.
"However, there's a another legend which says that only the mate of the King of lycans can wake him up. They say that her presence will force him to break everything and come to her."
"Grandma is this story real?" She questioned with curiosity.
"I don't know child. This story has been passing to us from generations. We can't tell if the story is true or not." Grandma told her.
Thea yawned suddenly and rubbed her eyes with her small hands. "I am feeling sleepy." She said and placed her head on her grandma's lap.
Grandma smiled at Thea and patted her head. "Sleep my child." She said.
Thea closer her eyes and she could feel herself getting into a deep slumber
Suddenly a question left her mouth. "Grandma, what was the name of the King of lycans?" She asked. In the whole story, the only person who intrigued her was the King of lycans.
Grandma looked at Thea shocked before she answered her question.
"Ares."

13 years later. "Thea are you ready?" Her grandma asked. She went into her room to see her packing her things. "Thea you still haven't finished your packing. You will be late for the trip." Grandma scolded her in a soft voice. She looked over at her granddaughter's fragile face who looking at her apologetic. Thea smiled sheepishly at Grandma. "I forgot to pack my things yesterday and couldn't sleep whole night because I was excited for the trip and thus I woke up late." She said. She was going for a trip. The trip was arranged by her school. Her grandma was reluctant to give her the permission but she convinced her somehow. Grandma shoke her head at her. "When will you become responsible Thea?" She asked and started to help her with the packing. Thea kissed her grandma's cheeks and said, "I have you with me grandma. I don't need to worry about anything." Thea smiled at her. Gran
Mason spin the bottle around and it landed on Kai. "Truth or dare kai?" He asked with a smirk on his face. Anybody can tell that he planning something evil in his mind. "T-truth." Kai said. He knew that if he choose dare than Mason will give him a difficult task to do which obviously he can't do. Mason and his friends sorted. "So, are you a virgin kai?" He asked as a mocking smile on his face. Thea's eyes widen hearing his question. He is so shameless. She thought in her mind. Kai blushed red before he answered, "I am." He said positive. Everyone around them laughed loudly hearing his answer. "He is such a pussy." A guy commented making Kai look down in humiliation. Thea frowned. She felt bad for K
"Truth or dare Thea?" Ethan grinned at her. Thea looked around with wide eyes. She doesn't wants to choose dare because she knew they will ask her to do something which she is uncomfortable with but if she choose truth than they will ask her wired questions. She doesn't know what to do. She looked at Ava for help. "You don't want to play Thea?" Ava asked her softly. Thea mumbled a small 'no'. "What a waste of time. Why the hell did you came here in the first place if you didn't wanted to play. Such a mood spoiler." Mia snapped at Thea angrily. Tears formed in Thea's eyes listening to her. She wasted their time and spoiled their mood too. I should have stayed in home only... Thea thought in her mind. If she wou
"This is a bad idea guys!" Damein groaned. "Shut up Damein. Stop acting like a scared kitten." Mason said and rolled his eyes. They all were walking deeper and deeper into the forest but still haven't found the castle. The dark forest was scaring everyone including Ethan and Mason but they decided to act brave. The huge trees were looking scary, almost terrifying and due to no light it was scaring everyone even more. The only source of light they had was moon. The thick fog wasn't even helping them. It was all silence until Damien again broke it. "Guys what if a wild animal comes and kills us?" He asked horrified. "Then we will first throw you to him and than run for our life." Aaron muttered gaining some chuckles. "I am not joking." Damien give him a loo
Thea looked around and that's when she realised that she is in the basement. All alone. She got up with trembling legs. Her eyes looked around. She shivered suddenly. Something about this place was off. She didn't knew why but she felt suffocated here. She felt the presence of something power, too powerful. She walked ahead with trembling legs. Her hands clutched her dress unknowingly in fear. Thea gasped when she was something shiny. She went near it. It was a crown. A crown made of black diamonds. Something in her head told her to pick the crown. With trembling hands, she touched the crown. A shiver ran down her spine. Her fingers tingled as she touched the crown. She picked the crown and placed it on her head. She giggled like a small kid as she kept the crown on her head. She felt like
"Damn guys! That was a terrifying experience." Aaron groaned. They all had reached the camp. Other students were already present there as they reached the camp before them. "There's something in that castle. I got goosebumps by just looking at it." Mia said. She had left earlier with other students. She wanted to stay with Mason but then the castle started to shake suddenly and she got scared and ran away with others. "But why did the castle started to shake suddenly? Even the ground was divided into two parts." Ava said. "I was already having this feeling that something was off about the castle. Now I am sure that the castle is indeed cursed. " Ruby said. Everyone agreed with her. "I was getting this wired feeling of being watched inside the castle. Did anyone fe
Ares, the King of monsters, sat on the majestic throne. The throne which was empty for hundreds of years was finally graced by his presence. Ares closed his eyes and a girl's face flashed in his mind. Her soft brown hair which had his Crown placed on her head. Her wide brown eyes which were filled with warmth did something to him. Her cheeks were chubby and flushed. Her lips were like two petals of Rose, so soft and ready to be claimed by him. The girl was none other than Thea. He was awake from his sleep the moment she stepped into the castle. Her soul was pure and untainted. Her presence forced him to open his eyes. He was watching her every move. The way she was rubbing her hands when she was scared, the way she was biting her lips when she was nervous, the way she would jump at a single sound, he noticed it al
"We all are going for hill trekking today. Make sure you carry all your essentials, don't carry any unnecessary things because it will make your bag heavy and you will get tired easily during the trekking. I want you all to come back here in twenty minutes." Miss Emma told everyone. Everyone listened to her and went back in their tents to pack their essentials. Thea went with Ava. It took her fifteen minutes to get everything ready. She had took the crown with her. At first, she decided to keep the crown in the tent but then decided otherwise. It's risky to keep the crown in the tent. Ava was still packing her things. "Ava I am waiting for you outside." Thea informed her. "Ok." Ava said and again got busy with her packing. Thea came outside of the tent. S
