Ch 47 - Could Be Our Only Lead

Even though he had strength and speed, she was faster than him, which is why it took Killian two minutes to arrive just as the creatures scurried away, leaving the dead Lycan bodies behind.

He looked to his mate, who was still transformed, and she was unmoving. He tried to link her to find himself shut out. He approached her, only for her to growl lowly. She still hadn’t turned to face him, so he wasn’t sure why she was growling.

And then she turned to face him.

He’d seen her eyes briefly back at the scene of the attack, but now they were staring back at him fully. He was able to see that they were a light purple, with a blue ring around them. He watched as slowly her fur started to change back to gold, before her eyes turned completely blue.

He was still shut out from their link, so he waited for her to be the one to initiate any kind of communication. Instead, she stood where she was, no longer growling. He couldn’t decipher the look in her eyes, and he wouldn’t admit to anyone else
