I felt excited as Brax, and I drifted out from underneath the forested area that covered the river. Not because our adventure was over, but because now we were floating through the mouth of a cave. The sound of rushing water was getting louder. Brax slid our tiny boat up onto a sandbar that was conveniently located near the edge of the cave, then he helped me out. The river was becoming more rapid, and the sound of rushing water echoed off the cave walls. I knew this meant a waterfall was near. A smile was plastered to my face as we walked hand in hand along the sandbar. I grew more eager with each step we took and soon misting water was tickling my cheeks.
