It has been an entire week of back and forth, Alaska seeming a little more open to possibilities with each round of text exchanges. Hayden is persistent, she has to give him that, but that was what she has been counting on. It doesn't change her opinion of him and the whole thing is far from noble, considering he has probably had a different girl each night in his bed on every single day of the week. Alaska just takes this as his new hobby. Every time she has to say something a little more suggestive than the last, her level of disgust grows, but she is surprised how quickly she can fall back into the habit of knowing how to flirt. Yet the knowledge doesn't save her from the replusion of it all. Torin had been in her life for as long as she can remember, her first with everything. They were young and learned a lot from each other, but she never missed that flirting stage. Torin never once wanted her to miss out on any of that, even though they knew each other better than they knew th
Alaska stares at Hayden, he looks as sleazy as ever, he sits relaxed on one of the large sofas with a drink in one hand and his phone in the other hand. A handsome smile on his handsome face, his short blonde hair captures the lights from the club below in the large window overlooking the dance floor, his amber eyes are piercing as they drink her in, his posture is relaxed and his expression is a calm, near gentle look, but his eyes give away his predatory nature. If she couldn’t read him in such a way, then she might be taken by his sappy sentiments. "An extra half an hour with you is all I could’ve ever wanted" Alaska giggles and tucks her hair behind her ear as she tries to cover how repulsed she is by such words. This is the first time they have been face to face since the meeting at the summer pack. It is easier to keep composed when there are two phones and a whole lot of distance between the two. Now he can see her expression, he can feel her body language. She mustn’t give an
Hayden's voice is deep and seductive as hell. Instead of the usual effect on women, Alaska just fights off her natural reaction to cringe at his tone, his voice and his words are making it hard to keep up this act. "As you can imagine, I'm still a little nervous" "As expected, I know that it has been a long time in between" Hayden is near salivating even thinking about the fact that only one other man has touched her in that way before. He thinks little of Torin and the sweet as sugar relationship that the two childhood sweethearts had. So, to him, Alaska is nothing more than a near untouched flower ready to be manipulated and molded in whatever way he desires, believing that she is innocent in the ways of the current world. To him with the usual girls that he is around, Alaska is pretty much considered practically a virgin. "It has been….You understand, don't you?" Alaska flutters her eyelashes hoping that Hayden doesn’t notice her hot and cold attitude. Her near flawless
Alaska's excited words are enough to drag Jaxson out of his stupor. He has been sleeping a lot more peacefully now that Alaska rarely has her nightmares anymore. There was one stage where he was waking up at the slightest sound, desperate to get to her and soothe her before it got so bad that it would take more than a day to recover. As she slept better, he, of course, did the same, which was fine until this point. Now he wishes he had that level of awareness once again. He takes in the maroon dishevelled wig that is sitting crooked on her head, her cheeks are red from the effort exerted, her eyes are surrounded by a thick layer of makeup which is now far from perfect, but it just makes her wild eyes look more vivid. What is more striking than Alaska's appearance is the large body which is hanging over her shoulder. He may not be able to see Hayden’s face, but he knows instantly who the man is, that scent, the body shape and just his own knowledge comes together to see the situation a
"Have you seen Hayden?" Valen sits in his study at the summer pack rubbing his forehead to try and ease the headache. It is not unlike Hayden to disappear for days on end. Sometimes, even for weeks on end. He has been busy chasing his own pleasure more than anything else at his only been a couple of days but there are some inconsistencies which don’t usually occur. Hence, why Valen’s voice is neither as anxious nor relaxed as it maybe should be. While Hayden is one for escaping his responsibilities, he is also bordering on a phone addiction, so usually a message will at least go through as read, but now there is no indication that his messages or calls are getting through at all. He has tried on a few different platforms but still there is nothing.Valen tries not to push his most useless son too much as he still enjoys being in the position, but Hayden really needs to start stepping up, so this irresponsibility is starting to wear rather thin. Valen’s time should be shared between
Draven and Trip don’t talk on the way to the venue. Trip is used to Draven’s way of operation. Between him and his three brothers, he drew the short straw to be placed with Draven. Of course, it wasn’t such a lottery, they themselves were thankful to be able to be betas in their own right which they never knew was possible growing up, so when the reject of the family was the one that was able to take such a role it was a double blow. When they were deciding between themselves who would go where, Trip was considered the best option to be able to get along with the man who has the ice-cold aura and dry personality. It is just lucky that Trip also admires Draven’s ability to stand out on his own within the family like that, especially when he was tied in birth to Hayden. The two walk one in front of the other into the closed night club without caring about such things as open hours or even common courtesy. Most nightclubs in the area come under the seasons banner in some way and this one
Draven sends everyone out of the security room except Trip, who still hasn’t offered a word of help. For now there is nothing to say. The evidence is there but all it shows is that this place is a dead end. They don't argue even though Draven technically has no right to be within such a space while the nightclub falls under the season's banner, it is not under the autumn banner, he has no authority, yet no one has the guts to argue the point, they value their lives too much.Just being in the same room as him is suffocating enough and they are glad to get the freedom."Trip, copy all that footage and we will review it later"Trip isn’t very knowledgeable at computers, but at least knows that much. Draven picks up his own phone and calls his father."Was there any purchases that could help locate him?"Valen scrambles to log on to the banking app."Sorry I wasn’t set to review it until tomorrow…"Draven swallows down the insults that would be spewed at everyone else in the world, never
Jax stares at her back for a moment as she walks away toward her room, holding himself back from running to her and holding her. He has been putting even more effort into the training, but even with the exhaustion that comes from giving it his all, it doesn’t stop his mind running wild. The relationship in his mind is evolving so fast, but he is not sure it is the same for her, from pretending to be her boyfriend to acting like a couple in the airport. It is all getting harder. Walking through the airport like a real couple, the wigs didn’t matter, it was still her, it was still her scent, her warmth, it didn’t even matter that they were playing others, that they were hiding their faces from the camera, all that mattered was having a very happy Alaska so close to him, having her scent around him, her gentle touches.A true sense of what it would be like to have the impossible, to actually be with her.He knows that he is blowing all of it out of proportion as she is just playing her p
