Daphne and I decided to take two days off after the grueling engagement party. I could have gone back to work the next day, but I knew that it would be unethical to do so. Daphne seemed exhausted from caring for everything the day before the party started. I was exhausted from ensuring everything was ready for the surprise I would make to make Daphne happy. However, at first, she was angry and scolded me because I didn't seek her approval for my chosen concept. But when she saw how festive the party was, Daphne immediately perked up.

Daphne thought I was too old to join the party as kids do nowadays. I had two target invitations. The parents would prefer classic jazz, and the youngsters would spin on the floor with DJ music and alcohol. So, I made a barrier between the two. Not forgetting to romanticize it by adding a dance floor.
