Chapter 5: Born To Chase The Moon ‘n Light.

???: “How is the boys’ process coming along?”

???: “Slowly, but surely as they always say in the land of the wise, pfft.”

???: “Land of the wise? The hell is that? I just want to beat someone’s ass in on itself. That’s all, heh.”

???: “Why go through all that effort to do that to anyone? It's a waste of time. For yourself and for him, but more for your sake. But, then again ‘Sake’ and ‘Effort’ is a hassle and a waste of time overall.”

???: “His pain and scars are all too beautiful and tragic~ I must have all of ‘that’ for myself~. I want him for myself~. Let me have ‘that’ all too myself~. Please~. Please~.”

???: “Disgusting. You truly are. *sigh*.”

???: “Disgusting!~ How dare you! I’ll have you know I am quite delicable unlike you~.”

???:  “*sigh* Whatever.  You are still truly disgusting.”

???: “That’s not a nice thing to say to anyone and you know that. Why is everyone saying mean stuff and mean words... Why is everyone being mean to everyone..”

???: “....”

???: “SHUT IT ALL OF YOU!!”

???: “See~. Now he’s furious again~.”

???: “All of you get to your places for when the time comes, we will all keep in contact telepathically. Only talk when I say so or ask so. Understand?”

???: “........”

???: “I SAID, IS THAT UNDERSTOOD!!!”

???????: “We Understand.”

???: “Good. Now leave.”

After the mysterious person finished with that statement while looking at Naraja and his group that were way, way off in the distance. Peering and squinting their eyes at him.

Naraja~, I’m coming for y’a.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Naraja and his group tread their way to the next door that was way off in the distance that was covered with hurdles and hurdles of sand in their way. As Naraja was beginning to wonder if this task or if this “Red Book Of Memories” was worth it in the end, but then that sense would connect to an unwelcoming feeling that makes Naraja rethink his complaints and fatigue and ended up just enduring it for now, but even Naraja can’t escape from the complaints that would eventually escape from his mouth.

Naraja: “Are we almost there yet? And why has the sky turned to night time already?! Wasn’t it just daytime when we were looking inside the door?”

As Narajas’ complaints escaped his throat without a care in the world. At the same time the world’s sky and the blood red door that his group had entered through a moment ago had disappeared and turned to night-time. For whatever reason the sky had eerily turned dark. No one, not even Naraja knew why the sky had turned to night. Even Naraja had to point out that eerie switch. That’s why Sunshine had said...

Sunshine: “For someone that’s older than me you sure do complain a lot, Mister Naraja~.”

Naraja: “Why you little…. I don’t want to hear those words come out of your mouth because one. You’re not an adult and two. You’re a child. A child’s opinion has no place for when I ask specific questions about, ``WHY THE SKY HAS TURNED TO NIGHT?!”

Sunshine: “Geez, so touchy, but I get what you mean because it is quite odd…”

Nai: “Teresa, Anima, do any of y’a  got any ideas on why the sky has turned to night-time?”

Anima: “....”

Teresa: “Sorry Nai, I don’t have the faintest idea whatsoever of why it is.”

Nai: “That’s alright both of you. No need to have an answer right away, we'll just manage whatever this is because nobody can stop the prospects of love!”

As Nai triumphantly announced that statement into the air with a pumped fist. Teresa just grinned while chuckling wearily at Nai showing off her display of vigorous positivity through her words and posture. After she had finished her little victory she turned her attention towards John...

Nai: “John! Do you have any ideas as to why the sky has turned to night?”

John: “Ay, I may actually have a clue to this mystery. They’re here. Those things, whatever the hell that you called them Nai.”

Nai: “The evil creepy crawly black monsters!”

John: “Ya those things but what the he-...or more like who the hell is that all the way up there? The one covered all in black. It looks human, but at the same time it doesn’t. The hell is that thing!?”

After John said that while pointing at the black creepy human-like figure that stood on top over the horizon. As soon as Naraja heard and saw he immediately knew what John was talking about. Or more like who he was talking about. Naraja tried to gulp back his saliva while his body was suddenly being attacked by a rush of adrenaline and fear. Fear  that he held towards that thing and also an immense amount of hatred as well. Naraja knew.

???: “Yo! Everyone! How are all of y’a doing on this fine night?”

As the creepy human-like black figure asked that question with a nuanced and blunt voice.

Naraja: “The hell do you want!?!” “Why are you here?!”

As Naraja said those questions that were tipped with poisonous rage to hold back his immense overwhelming fear that the creepy human-like black figure had over him. Naraja had to be the first to speak out before anybody else could ask or utter a word before him. Because Naraja knew what this piece of shit was capable of. Down to the bitter end, he knew. He just wanted to know why he/it was here now of all times.

John: “Naraja. You know whatever the hell this thing is, right?”

Naraja gulped and softly said “Yeah” in response to John’s demanding question.

John: “Alright, I guess that means that you know how dangerous it will be then.”

Naraja didn’t know what John meant by those words, but all that Naraja could muster back in response was with a soft but yet timid “Yeah”. Naraja didn’t like these circumstances at all, he had to change it no matter the cost.

Naraja: “ The hell you want you ugly bastard!!”

Naraja yelled these words out at the top of his lungs so that the mysterious black human-like figure could hear him loud and clear, but also at the same time take it’s viewpoint off of the people that are around him.

???: “Ya know that’s an awful hurtful thing to say to me Naraja. How about we reconcile, huh?”

Creak..Heh…Crack…Heh…HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…

Laughter. Sickening twisted maddening laughter. That was all Naraja could hear inside of him after the mysterious black-figure had said those words. Naraja didn’t know why, but he just wanted to beat this thing’s ass so painfully and brutally. Those words and that tone was all too ludicrous. It all just pissed him off to the fullest.

Naraja: “Heh, heh. Yeah. Oh yeah. We can definitely reconcile right here and right now you worthless piece of shit!!”

Just when Naraja had stomped his foot at full force into the ground to charge at the mysterious black human-like figure with pure malice, John in the nick of time had grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back so fast that Naraja didn’t notice how quick he would have been killed if John had not pulled him back. As Naraja sat on his ass from the pull staring at a big black shadow-y fist that was about to kill him.

???: “Now, now. Naraja no need to get so antsy. We got ~alllllllll~ the time in the world, so sit on your ass like you are, pfft. Because it’s going to be one hell of a show from here on out.”

Next thing Naraja noticed on the horizon where the mysterious black-figure resided was one shadow-y black Gorilla that developed itself next to the black figure and then another one appeared and then another and then another and then another one. Around one-hundred to one million of those shadow-y Gorilla’s had started to appear rapidly. No one could keep up with the amount of these things anymore, especially Naraja. If Naraja had a title to call these things at this moment it would be a ‘Stampede of Gorilla’s’.

Nai: “Everyone, prepare yourselves!!”

Naraja: “No!! We gotta make a run for it now!”

Naraja got his ass off the ground with a quickness and grabbed Nai’s hand while everyone else agreed with Naraja’s quick thinking with a nod and as they were about to turn around to make a run for the door that had brought them here, it was completely gone. The door had completely vanished.

???: “Get them.”

After the mysterious black human-like figure whispered those words, one by one the gorilla’s started to roar, beat on their chests, and had begun charging straight for Naraja’s group.

Naraja: “Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit. Shiiiit!!”

Minch: “Where can we go now since the door that brought us here has vanished?!” “Any Idea’s Naraja?!”

Idea’s. Naraja couldn’t come up with one speck of an idea to get them out of this predicament as he felt each and every vibration beneath his feet. Heard the thunderous and mighty stomps and roars of the millions of Gorilla’s that headed there way. Naraja didn’t have the faintest idea…They were all dead…

Naraja: “For now, let’s just keep running and figure out that issue later!!”

John: “I agree with Naraja! Let’s just keep running until we can get out of this, aye!”

Minch: “Fine…”

As Naraja’s group continued to keep running, and running, and running to wherever may be safe for them away from their timely demise. The roars and stomps of the ‘Stampede Of Gorilla’s”continued to get closer and closer to them, until Naraja turned around and saw them practically on his and everyone else’s rear ends. Immediately and simultaneously at the same time of Naraja spotting them in his peripheral vision, his field of vision or more like his field of reality had begun to shift and alter. And then suddenly he was back in the corridor that had first led him to that deserted wasteland.

Naraja: “Huh?...What the..hell…??”

As Naraja turned his head from left to right and then took a look behind him he had begun to wonder what the hell had just happened to him. As Naraja noticed that he also noticed that he was all alone or more like the only thing next to him at the moment was Orb.

Naraja: “What the hell happened to me? Where is everyone??”

As Naraja stood there perplexed for a moment growing more and more worried about everyone that he was with a moment ago, he thought to himself “What happened to everyone?” because the last thing Naraja remembers is that stampede of Gorilla’s getting closer and then… Immediately Naraja gritted his teeth as tightly as ever and started sprinting for the door that had teleported him there in the first place. As he kept running and running through the narrow corridor that was still lit up by the torches it held on its pillars. Naraja was beginning to question himself and also the fact that the people he was with were no longer alive at all. This feeling/thought is what made Naraja more sick to his stomach, so in return he put more effort into his running to get back to the door more quickly.

Naraja: *Huff*...*Huff*...*Huff*..*Hu-* “Ah. I made it back.”

There he saw the blood-crimson soaked door back in the same spot it was at when Naraja and his group first saw it.

Naraja: “Now why the hell did you disappear on us when we needed you the most, huh.”

One step up the staircase. Two steps up the staircase. Thrice the steps up the staircase. Naraja approached the door with each of his steps getting closer and closer and closer and.…BAM!!!

Naraja: “ What th-”

Naraja didn’t see it coming but he sure as hell felt it as he flew back from the impact of the unknown attack. He tumbled and tumbled and tumbled over and over on the ground until Naraja came to a sliding halt. He could barely tell where to look or think, so he just shook his head violently to regain his senses little by little.

Naraja: “Ugggghh, fuck! What now!!”

There he saw one…no two, three to four arms on a Gorilla that was slightly taller than the other ones he had encountered a moment ago. If Naraja could estimate the height of this new enemy he would have to guess it at about half the height of the pillars that were present in the corridor at this moment.

???: “Naaraaja~. Y’a know this is all your fault. They’re dead and there was nothing you could do about it.”

There Naraja saw the one thing he hated the most ever since the beginning of coming to this strange world. There he saw the mysterious black human-like figure. This hatred Naraja felt towards this thing was so indescribable all he could do was just stare at it intensely. As if it was the only thing he could focus on.

Naraja got up from his spot and immediately started to dash for a pillar that was a little off in the distance on his right.

???: “Really Naraja? That’s your plan?”

Naraja: “Shut up! You don’t have the right to lecture me on plans nor strategies after killing people that I know and care about…You filthy piece of…!”

As Naraja started to dash down the row between the hall and the row of pillars on the right.

???: *Sigh* “Get him.”

As if on command the Gorilla with four arms sprunged to where Naraja was and then...

Naraja knew he would end up regretting his decision to head on the right side to get a jump on the enemy. He knew he would. He should’ve gone for the left side. He should have. The next thing Naraja saw was two massive fists coming straight for him that ended up colliding with two to three of the pillars on his left-side in the process.  He couldn’t see the attack coming, but for some reason Naraja was able to not get caught in the attack by the nick of time. He jumped out of the smoke and rumble that the four-armed Gorilla had created and brought his left leg up to make contact with the Gorillas’ face…, but all that had happened was that the creature before Naraja eyes had grasped his leg in the process, and crushed it.

Naraja: “Huh?”

As Naraja fell down to the ground he couldn’t grasp what had just happened he could have sworn that he was close, just a smidge at least to make a hit on the Gorilla’s face. Naraja couldn’t breathe nor had enough oxygen in his lungs to produce a hellish scream for the pain he was feeling now. It was just too unbearable to produce one. So he just looked up at the Gorilla and back to the mysterious black human-like figure that was off in the distance. Just standing up on top of the staircase like a king or god or something, just watching him. Looking down on Naraja.

He hated this. He hated seeing him up there. Naraja hated him, very much so. All Naraja could do was, cry.

Naraja: “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!! *Hic* You fucking bastard! Just wait till I get up there and beat your ass into submission down here.

???: “Ooooo, those are some big words. Can you live up to those words, big man?~”

The mysterious black human-like figure glared at Naraja while it snapped its fingers instantaneously and just like that the four-armed Gorilla disappeared. No…more like it dissipated into the air without a trace for it to be tracked. The black human-like figure took a step down the staircase and then two steps and then three steps. And then…

Naraja: “You heard me you bastard, *Hic*, Get down here so I can beat your ass into submission.”

Naraja struggled to get up from his spot, from the immense pain he was feeling right  at this moment. Naraja inhaled and exhaled as he struggled more and more to get upright and stand tall against that thing. In the process of doing this he just rested most of his weight on his right knee because his left leg was completely out of commission…for now. The black human-like kept walking down the staircase until it was in front of Naraja’s perception. No, he was standing directly in front of him. As if he had teleported himself in front of Naraja.

Naraja: “How in the hell did you get down here so fast?”

He was completely caught off guard, and then….

???: “Pfft, I don’t know and as if I would tell y’a~.”

The black human-like figure took a strong grasp of Naraja by his collar and started punching him in the face repeatedly. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over.....

Naraja hated this. Naraja hated getting hit. Naraja hated pain. Everyone hates pain in general. BUT! He slipped his head just slightly to the left and managed to dodge another upcoming hit just barely. This surprised the mysterious black human-like figure as it saw Naraja cocked his head back and then brought it forward with full force that made a whipping crack sound that echoed throughout the corridor hallway.

???: “Gaah!! You little–”

Naraja saw the black human-like figure stumble backwards from the unexpectedness and then took a little step forward and Naraja used up the remaining amount of his strength in his body, twirled it onto the left-side of his body while bringing up his left leg, and then…BAM!!!

Naraja was about to get excited and do a mental victory dance for getting in two successful hits on that ugly bastard, but as he looked upon the mysterious black human-like figures’ face. Naraja at this particular moment had frozen up, not out of fear, nor blood-loss, but because he had seen a sight he had not expected. It was a sight of blood beginning to dribble out of the black human-like figures’ face. Or to be more exact its nose.

Naraja: “Huh. W-what the hell you’re…. You’re just like me.”

???: *pfft* “Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa~ You’re getting close, Naraja,.. buuut~ not close enough... just yet.” “Alright, alright I will give you props on being able to get in two hits on me. Two consecutive hits at that look at you.”

As the mysterious black human-like figure finished saying its statement while wiping the blood off its face and holding up two fingers to show Narajas’ accomplishment against this monster as if it was a game. Like it was a competition… As Naraja stood up weakened, tired, battered and in alot of pain from having his left-leg crushed, he wasn’t having the best time, at all. He knew his time was coming to an end.

Naraja: “Goddammit…..GODDAMMIT ALL!!!”

After Naraja shouted out those words he tried to turn around to run away from the mysterious black human-like monster. To run away from this hellish nightmare. To get somewhere safe ‘n sound. Naraja just wanted to be free. To be free from all this pain.

???: “Fucking pathetic. And not so fast Naraja~.”

The mysterious black human-like monsters’ arm extended after Naraja, slithered itself around him as a snake would to its prey and curled itself back to where it extended from.

???: “Now where do you think you are running off to, huh. You know you gotta always finish a fight, always up to the bitter end. The hell is wrong with you, you fucking coward.”

*Sniff* *Sniff*

???: “The hell.”

Naraja: “Please let's stop this. *Sniff* Why are you doing this? Why do you hate me so much? *Sniff* *Sniff* Why do I hate you so much!? I don’t even know anymore. Let’s just stop fighting. Please.”

After Naraja had said those words it's like the atmosphere around him and the mysterious black human-like figure had shifted. Naraja couldn’t put his finger on it, but he had felt it nonetheless. What was that feeling? What is this feeling? Am I going to die again?

???: …………

Naraja was beginning to feel a weird sense as the mysterious black human-like figure’s arm started to lower Naraja to the ground with gentleness and return back to the owner’s shoulder with swift and ease.

???: “Nuh uh. I don’t think so. Get up, we are fighting even longer and even more now.”

Naraja didn’t understand this feeling nor understood what was the meaning behind those words that just came out of the mysterious black human-like figures’ mouth. All that Naraja knew was that he had to stand up at this very moment, he didn’t know why nor was it a need or a want. All he knew was that he had to stand up.

Naraja: “Alright, you ugly f*ck. I ain’t gonna hold back either and prepare yourself.”

Naraja got up from the ground despite having his left leg broken. Despite being worn and torn. Despite being scared for his very life at this moment he stood up and charged forward at the monster.
