A Pathetic Demon

"And this is our top floor," Zia said to him. She was giving him a tour of her house for the past 10 minutes and finally they reached the highest floor of the manor.

She stretched her head to look at him but like usual there was no expression in his eyes which were on her and not a single word came from his mouth. She was with him for more than 10 minutes now but she didn't hear him speaking even for once and that thing made her conclude that he couldn't speak but if that was the case then Dylan or her dad must have told her so he could speak then why he was not talking to her but just staring at her like that…yeah…that weird creature didn't even try to hide the fact he was staring at her because everytime she looked at him, she caught him gazing at her. He didn't even feel hesitant to make it so obvious. How rude and disrespectful? But she sighed and decided to end that tour as soon as possible because that weird creature was giving her unusual vibes which she didn't like.

"There's a balcony on this floor. Come with me," she didn't lose her politeness with him despite his unusual behaviour towards her.

She walked towards that balcony on that topmost floor and could clearly feel him following her. She halted after getting extremely close to the railing of that balcony. The cold air blew against her abruptly, making her light brown hair dance over her face.

"Look there. The view is really very beautiful from here," she tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and pointed her index finger towards a direction. The view of her surroundings was looking really very beautiful from that height. A smile formed on her face as she stared at that view which was looking more alluring because of the twinkling stars in the dark sky.

"It's beautiful ri…" She stated while turning around but had to stop by finding him standing so close to her, so close that her body was about to get grazed against his but in order to restrain herself from doing that inappropriate act, she attempted to step back in pure instinct but forgot that she was already on the edge. Now there was no walking back.

When her waist got touched against the railing she stopped moving without being aware of the fact that his arm had already guarded her from behind without even touching her to make sure about her safety.

She swallowed, feeling him so close that she could feel his body heat radiating against her skin and once again, she found those intense green orbs were peering at her. It started annoying her now so without trying to portray herself disrespectful, she pressed her palm against his chest and her throat dried up when she felt his rigid muscles. Had he stuffed stones inside his clothes? How could someone's bones be so hard? She gently pushed him away and to her relief, he stepped back that caused her to immediately turn her back on him.

What was wrong with this man? Now he was creeping her out and before his creepiness started troubling her more she needed to be away from his presence.

"I guess we should get back to the party now. Everyone must be…." She paused when she again felt him coming closer to her but this time, she didn't turn around and she herself didn't why. She just stood there like a statue and let him invade her personal space.

Her back got engulfed with his warmth as he was standing insanely nearer to her but still…not a single part of their bodies touched because he didn't let it happen.

"How much do you love him?" That deeply hoarse voice husked in her ear. She finally heard him speaking and his voice…it made a chill run down her spine because of its cavernous intensity but coming back to his words, what he meant by them.

She twirled around with her wiggled brows and looked at him and as usual, his eyes were already on her but this time with a slight glint of a bone chilling potency and she would lie if she said it didn't scare her. He was mysteriously scary.

"What?" She asked him as if trying to sound like she didn't hear him properly, even after hearing and understanding everything but then she saw the corner of his lips tugging upward at her question. Did he just smirk at her and not any usual smirk but an evil one? How dare he?

"You haven't heard my question or you don't want to hear it?" His taunting grin and question made her exasperated but she tried her best not to lose her calm with him

"None of them because I don't have any answer to your question," she spat and tried to walk past him but got stunned when he placed his both palms on the railing behind her and clutched it, caging her between him and that railing. Now he was overstepping the boundaries of her endurance.

"Fine, let's make the question easy for you then?" His raspy voice fanned against her face whereas his teasing eyes gazed into her.

"Can you jump for him from this floor right now?" He questioned her, making her stunned. He was a psycho for sure and she really needed to teach him a lesson.

"No, Mr Damien Karlson because I have lost my heart to your dear brother, Dylan not my mind," she replied honestly yet sarcastically. Her answer widened his smirk but her body tensed up when he took his face closer to her.

"And what if I throw you from here right now?" He whispered his question, peering into her sapphire eyes.

Okay that was enough. The respect for him could go and die in his pocket when he was directly threatening her to kill her. She gritted her teeth but then flashed him a fake innocent smile.

"Then I will make sure to pull you down with me so that we can peacefully die together," her eyes showed him no fear as she blurted out at him but then found his gaze to turn more cavernous at her reply.

"And what if I said I will be more than glad to die for and with you, Zia?" His choice of words and especially the way her name rolled off from his tongue, she felt like her heart shrugged inside her chest with a terrifying rush. No it was not right.. This was irrational.

She clenched her jaw and tried to push him away but he didn't move or in precise, her strength was nothing as compared to his. Zia gawked at him before threatening.

"Let me go, Damien Karlson before I scream and gathered everyone here and you don't even have a clue what my dad could possibly do to you for even thinking about going nearer to his daughter without her consent," she warned him that made a chuckle to escape from his mouth and why even his chuckle sounded so psychotic and devilish? Was he even a real human?

"I do know what is the cost of getting closer to Zale Alcazar's daughter without her consent but does it scare me?" He chuckled, slowly and then leaned closer to her ear.

"It doesn't, mi vida (my life) because I can end any life for you, even if it's mine,"

Her heart stopped functioning for a while as soon as his words penetrated her ear. Horror washed over her entire self. Was he even hearing to his own self? It scared yet angered her really very terribly. Her rage started glistening in her azure eyes.

She tossed her head to glare at him and then grabbed his neck in a split second. She didn't restrain herself from digging her sharp nails in neck but not even a little frown of pain could be seen on his face instead he was grinning.

His smirk filled her with more wrath, resulting in her to dig her nails in his skin more aggressively because Zia had anger issues just like her dad's. She was not capable of controlling her actions when her anger converted into rage and she didn't care how her action could hurt the other person just like now where she wasn't caring how vigorously her nails were harming him but none of them cared about it…none of them.

Their gazes got fastened with each as she continued to penetrate inside his skin more deeply. She wanted to scream at him. She wanted to yell at him, curse him but all she could do was just to glare at him because her mouth had lost its power to utter a single word to him and she herself didn't know why. Why instead of screaming at him, she was letting her silence to fight with him? And that thing burnt up her eyes with tears because when she couldn't mould the situation as per her control, she ended up tearing up like a kid.

Their eyes didn't dare to leave each other until he saw a tear slipping down from her beautiful shimmering eyes and wetting her flushed soft cheek.

Zia saw something in his eyes which terrified her more. His eyes which were deprived of any kind of emotion until now, by watching her tears they engulfed with a gentle tenderness. His personality switched from scary to amiable just with a drop of her tear which made her grit her teeth.

She released her grip around his neck and pushed him away from her forcefully and this time, he let her do it. She aggressively wiped her wet cheek with her palm.

"Pathetic Demon," she cursed him, glaring at him and then dashed away from there while boiling in anger.

He watched her storming away which made him place his finger on his neck and touched those deep scratches she had given him. He felt his blood's wetness and took his fingers forward where his eyes caught his own blood on his fingertips. His smirk turned more treacherous by witnessing it. So that was her very first meeting with him and it already turned bloody messy…just like he had imagined it to be with his Zia and she even ended up giving him a nickname….DEMON….

With a chuckle, he followed that direction where she had vanished as now nothing could part her from him because she had become his before she even took her very first breath.
