Married to a ghost

It didn't rain rice. There were no cans in the back of the car. Just a black limousine that surprised everyone but caused no spark of excitement in her eyes. She should imagine that, of course. That's Emily's dream, not hers. She's the wrong bride.

Eleonor left the cathedral soon after. Everyone went to the ballroom, where they would have a big party. But the moment Eleonor gets into her ride, she says coldly: “I want to go to the hotel.”

“But Mrs. Reviello, the party...”

“Don't call me Mrs. Reviello.” She scolds him bitterly. “I'm not a Reviello.”

“Yes, you are. From the moment you signed that contract and accepted the vows at the altar, you became part of the Reviello family.” Asher says quietly. “Do you understand how much weight there is in carrying that surname?”

“I assure you it's not heavier than the one I have carried for twenty years.” She scolds, looking out the window. “Just take me to the hotel. I'm tired of all this.”
