The twist

Too lost in thought, Shawn wasn't aware of his surroundings until it felt like the drive to the office was taking longer than usual.

He glanced out the window and saw that they were not going in the direction of the company. His heart lurched.

“Sunny, where are we going?" he asked.

Sunny didn't answer.

Shawn's eyes widened. "Sunny, what's going on?"

His heart began to beat so fast that Shawn was convinced that it’d burst out of his rib cage soon. This couldn't be happening.

Shawn's mind raced with fear and regret. He felt an overwhelming weight on his chest, thinking about all the bad things he’d done. Back when he was still a teenager and now when he was grown.

Everything seemed to be catching up with him now. Oh, lord. Not Sunny too.
