Charles' POV

"Charles?!" I could visualize her jumping by how excited she sounded.

" Oh my, it's you." I chuckled. " How are you doing, honey?"

I took one last look at the building, and I returned to my car. I had to go to work.

" Where are you, Charles?" Her voice sounded serious.

"On my way to work," I answered as I slammed the door shut. " And you're in school, I guess?"

" Yes, I am." She answered. " But I need you to come to my school."

My hand froze as my breath halted. Was Rose asking me to come to her school?

" Rose, are you okay? Did you get into trouble? I could get your mum." I offered.

" Please don't." She quickly opposed. " I will explain to you when I see you, but for now don't tell her. I will send you the address."

She didn't wait for me to accept or decline her offer, she ended the call already.

I looked at the blank screen of my phone and imagined the shocking call I just had with Erika'a daughter.

I knew that she needed me, and I was ready to go.
