“I love you, Alana,” Kai whispered into my ears as we lay cuddled up in his room later that night. The gentle caress of the night air was seeping in through the window and blowing at us softly.

I looked up at him, my eyes searching for his blue iris in the semi-dark room. “I love you, Kaiser. Forever and always.”

A smile spread across his face as he kissed the top of my head, pulling me close against the steady rhythm of his heart. I let out a deep breath, allowing my eyes to close tightly.
