Three days had passed, and it was almost time for the moon festival to start as all the packs prepared themselves for the auspicious occasion.
The moon temple was decorated beautifully with the moonflower, ipomoea alba, along with the decorative lights covering the whole of Arthdal and the moon charms in the four regions. The north, south, east and west mainly to shield the land and guide the guardians spirits, to let them know that the land needs to be protected from harm and to keep the land alight and away from darkness. It was needed since all the werewolves would be gathered around the moon temple for the festival.▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎Snow Moon Pack"It's finally starting tomorrow. Do you think we'll be able to see the moon goddess?" Amy asked her mate as they watched their child play happily with his toys on the bed."I don't know love, but if you wish to see her, then call her with a pure heart, and I guess you'll be able to see her." King told his mate as he caressed her hair lovingly."Then I cannot wait for the moon festival to start." Amy exclaimed in excitement, and her mate laughed, looking at her being so adorable. The Moon FestivalThe next evening, all the pack members from the four different packs, gathered in front of the moon temple as their Alphas and their Lunas initiated the start of the festival when the moon shone blue and the stars aligned together."We thank the moon goddess for guiding us, her children and for always protecting us from harm and we, the alphas of the north south east and west stand here and pledge to protect the land, our home and our people. May the moon goddess guide us always." All the four alphas said in unison, making everyone roar and cheer our loud. The moon festival started, and everyone took part in the celebration, enjoying themselves and the Alphas from other small packs too, mingled with the four mighty Alphas. All of them were busy dancing, singing, and paying tribute to the moon for giving them their lives. The Lunas were enjoying themselves as well until their sons decided that they needed a nap as they were tired of being awake for such a long time so, the three Lunas made way inside one of the chambers of the moon temple and laid their pups down next to one another. As they were about to leave the room, their steps were halted when they noticed the room illuminating and the light almost blinding their eyes. They immediately covered their eyes and took a few seconds to adjust their eyesight and focus on the glowing orb, floating in the middle of the room. The three looked at each other in shock to verify that what they were seeing was real, and when they noticed the orb moving, they decided to instinctively follow it. They left the room after locking it and making their betas guard the door as they chased the light."Where did it go?" Bianca asked, looking around in confusion."There it is. It's going past the crowd. Can't they see it?" Amy asked in disbelief as she saw no one noticing it. Not even their mates."Let's follow that. Be careful." Kat said as they discreetly passed through the crowd without being noticed by their mates.MeanwhileKyana was leaning against the wall of the moon temple, waiting for her friends to join her, when she saw a glowing orb floating past through the crowd and was shocked to see no one noticing it .She decided to follow the orb and surprisingly saw her friends chasing behind it and felt glad that she wasn't the only one. When she turned around to join her friends, she couldn't find her way to them as she was suddenly surrounded by a white mist, blocking all of her vision making it hard for her to be aware of her surroundings, but she still decided to walk into it.Gradually, she saw the mist getting thinner and thinner till it completely cleared out and was glad. She breathed in relief, thinking that she was finally out, but to her surprise, she was standing in front of a forest that she had never seen or thought existed. It looked surreal and breathtaking, especially under the beautiful blue moon. There was a small road trail in between the forest, looking as though it had been there for years as the autumn leaves lay scattered around the road trail glistening in the moonlight and the trees stood tall complementing the moon was just too breathtaking to look at.Kyana was too taken aback by its beauty that she hadn't realised she was already halfway through the forest and when she did come back to her senses, she looked around and couldn't remember which way she came in through. She was lost. The OrbThe three of them were closely following the glowing orb a few feet in front of them when Kat spoke up, "Hey! Do you guys think it's safe to follow this thing?" She asked, glancing at the two when Bianca suddenly halted and placed her arms on her waist turning to look at Kat."Even if it isn't, we've come too far to think twice you stale KitKat!" Bianca stated, looking at her best friend like she just stated the most dumbest thing ever."Yeah, yeah, stop arguing and walk. If it was something evil, it couldn't have gotten past the protection charms and obviously couldn't have gotten inside the moon temple. Dumbasses!" Amy exclaimed while pulling the two to walk."Hey, walk fast, or we're gonna lose it." Bianca said, walking with hurried steps."Maintain your distance bee." Kat said once she saw Bianca getting closer to it."Where did it go?" Amy asked, halting as they all looked around and couldn't find the orb anymore."Amy, look where we are." Kat said, tugging Amy's sleeves. They somehow were in the middle of a forest, and only a small trail of road was what they could see ahead of them."Let's walk through this trail," Bianca suggested, and they all started walking for a few minutes before reaching a clearing."The hell! Where are we?" Kat exclaimed in frustration as she stomped her feet into the ground in frustration. They all panicked when they heard the ground, shaking, and turned towards Kat, glaring at her. "What? I didn't do anything. I just stomped my feet," she stated innocently and with a pout."Kat I swear, I'll force you to have a keto diet once we make it alive from here!" Bianca screamed in fear. The ground shook horribly, and the three clutched onto each other as tight as they could, closing their eyes tight and mumbling incoherent words. When they felt that the ground had stopped shaking, they opened their eyes reluctantly and gasped. "What on earth is this guys?" Kat asked amusedly, looking at the sight in front of them."I have no idea Kat. I seriously have no idea. It wasn't there before!" Amy exclaimed as she subconsciously walked through the shallow stretch of water and stepped onto the bridge. "Come on, let's go," Amy said, turning back and looking at the two with their still amused and shocked expressions. They came out of their trance and followed Amy's suit giggling. They crossed the bridge and came to a clearing surrounded with bushes, trees, and exotic flowers. However, on the very front, stood an unusual fountain where the water water falls from the top with a bright light glowing from it, surrounded by floating rocks both big and small making everything look straight out of a fantasy world."I'm glad you all could make it here." A voice said from the right, making their heads snap towards the direction, and they could see something glowing in the dark."Do not be afraid, I won't harm you all." The voice said, coming towards them, showing itself, and the three couldn't believe what they were seeing. They froze on their spot.Kyana~"Where am I? How am I going to find my way out of this place? Stupid girl! Who told you to walk in a trance. Beauty always brings disaster. This sentence proved to be true today!" Kyana sighed in frustration. I'm hungry. Someone gimme food! She complained in her head. Kyana looked around to find something or magically someone who'd show her the way out but sadly couldn't find any. So, she decided to sit down and rest for a while. "I'm tired. Pete, find me and carry me." Kyana exclaimed, sitting down and kicking her feet on the ground like a child. "Follow me." A voice whispered in Kyana's right ear, making her flinch in fear. "Wh-who a-are you? What do you want?" Kyana asked, trembling. "Follow me, and you'll know." The voice whispered in her other ear, making her flinch once again and hold her knees tighter. "No, I won't. What if you're something bad?" Kyana yelled, but instead of getting any answer, she could only hear giggles resonating all around. "What do you want? C
The three had told Kyana about their interaction with one of the guardians named Pamela, who they learnt was Adrian's twin, and they also told her about how they were told to keep everything discreet to everyone Kyana, too, told them about her interaction with Adrian and the forest. However, she couldn't tell them about her interaction with the Moon Goddess herself since something inside her was telling her to keep that only to herself, and so she did. She told them everything excluding the meeting with the moon Goddess and what she had said, though Kyana told them that Adrian had taken her to a place which he later described as their home, where the guardians live and the four were more determined than ever to do everything to protect the guardians from harm. They were even willing to keep it a secret from their mates as well. "Let us forget that we ever met them. That way, we won't seem suspicious in front of our mates," Kat stated, biting on her appl
"What were you doing in the secluded forest of the pack borders?" Amy asked once the four Lunas were left alone. "I don't know, Amy. I felt a strong negative aura out there that just pulled me towards that place, and I don't even remember when I reached the pack borders, but when I regained consciousness, I saw this darkness surrounding me. I don't know what it was and then.... suddenly, shining light came from somewhere, and I blacked out for real this time. I don't know what happened." Kyana completed explaining and turned to look at the confused faces of her friends. Amy stared intensely towards Kyana before she let out a sigh. "It's fine Kyana, rest for now. We'll discuss about what it was, later." She stated firmly, while Kyana nodded smiling softly before drifting off to sleep. As the four friends rested along with the three newborns in the pack house, their serenity was interrupted when the door flung open abruptly. The four flinched from the lou
"Giselle!" "Help!" Leah screamed, running towards the living room. "Even Giselle can not help you! Rawrr~, " Gia said, running behind Leah to catch her."Gia! Leah! Stop running around." Kyana yelled at her daughters, entering the living room. "Mommy! Save me from Monster Gia!" Leah yelled, hugging Kyana tight and hiding behind her. "You all will never grow up, right?" Giselle said, entering the living room and twisting Gia's ear, making her wince in pain. "Mom! Elder sis is abusing me! Help!" Gia whined to her mother, who just chuckled. "Why are you so cute, my baby girl?" Kyana cooed at Gia, squishing her cheeks. "Mom! You spoil her way too much. That's why she's like this." Giselle complained, placing her hands on her hips. "I am sorry, my biggest baby, but I can not help it. You all are too precious." Kyana replied, squishing Giselle's cheeks now followed by Leah's, who giggled at the action while Giselle just huffed. Their mother always treated them like kids, and it hasn't
In the wee hours of midnight, they all decided to set off for the capital city. Since Arthdal was situated far away from the Capital, they had to travel at midnight to be able to reach their destination in the morning. A total journey of 12 hours since no plane or train could take off or come to Arthdal. The only possible mode of journey was through the road. It wasn't that no transportation projects were held and started for the development of the land, however whenever these projects were implemented, many disasters would hit the worksites, rendering it useless to proceed further with the wastage of so many resources. The guardians had, however, decided to accompany the group to drop the girls to the capital, driving in their own car. "Do you think people will pick on them?" Nader asked all the three of them after a long time. "I don't know, but what I know is that they are strong and they'll survive it well." Pamela said, looking o
Giselle"I can't feel it." "Let's get her inside first and then see what to do." Gwen said calmly. Seriously? How could she be so calm? I really wanted to know since we all looked horrified at the moment except for her. Sometimes, I can not simply understand her. Even though we're triplets, she's too secretive and mysterious about a lot of things. I helped Gia carry Samantha inside the house and head towards Gia's room when Gwen stopped us. "Take her to her room. Not Gia's." I was reluctant to agree, but the words were more like an order rather than a suggestion, and we subconsciously agreed to it. Sometimes, she gets scary and gives us the chills, and none of us would strangely want to argue then. "What now?" Gia asked. We placed Samantha in her bed. She looked paler as though her life had been sucked out from her body, and her lips were turning blue.I check for the pulse again, this time liste
NamI see the kids arrive, but Gwen didn't. Something was up, but I couldn't check on her now. Some other things at hand needed to be done first now. I show them the library and the person waiting for them. I knock on the door to gain her attention and hear shocked gasps when she turns. "Sam!" Leah yelled and ran to hug her best friend. "I thought you were dead!" Leah cried, still clinging onto her, making her annoyed and earning a hit in her head with the thick book she was reading. PAKK!!Ouch! That must've hurt, girl. The book weighs a few kilos and is antique. Poor girl. "What's happening here, Nam?" Giselle asked, looking all serious. The matured yet curious one among the cuties! I sigh and motion them to sit down beside Samantha. As they do,I walk and stand in front of all of them. "Okay, so..." I start but stop when I feel something not welcomed, being sent here. I summon my orb and keep it close as I see it pulsing rapidly. A ball of white mist appeared and stopped in
"Where are we going?" Samantha asked Leah who was dragging her out of the house towards the garage. "Shut up and follow me!" Leah hissed. "Get in fast." Leah said after getting in the backseat. Samantha sat in hesitatingly and found the triplets already in. Gwen behind the wheel and Gia in the front seat."Where are we going? It's barely dawn. Pops and Mom will be back soon too." Samantha said panicking."I already texted them saying we'll go out at dawn to explore the city and we're doing just that." Giselle said, as she browsed for something in her phone. "They believed you?" Samantha gasped."Obviously they did. Since I'm considered more sensible out of you all plus I'm the eldest here so, shut up and relax. Here, that's the place." Giselle said handing her phone to Gwen. A GPS location. Nobody said anything as Gwen started driving towards the location. The destination was weirdly familiar to all of them. The only ones who seemed to know where they were headed was Gwen.Gwen m
