“What are we going to do now? She can’t keep coming back here other wolves and vampires will come after her if they find out what she is to us,” Embry questions while licking her hand as she rolls over and reaches out to him clearly feeling the bond to him.
“Alpha Quinn will take them in, and I want you to watch her from a distance to keep her safe. I want none of the elders to know about her, we know what Sasha and her supporters would do,” I can’t stifle my yawn as I watch him lay on Raven’s other side with her hand resting on his neck.
“What about Blood Moon?” Embry whines at Raven passing out into a deep sleep.
“She’s going to be ok; Blood Moon isn’t your priority I’ll have Eya take over your Beta duties. Our mate needs someone to look after her and keep her safe, you’re the only one I trust more than myself to protect her,” I instruct then begin to growl getting up hearing someone approaching.
“Gideon,” Embry links while smelling the air as I look towards the sound seeing him rushing in our direction.
“Raven!” Gideon is frantic when he gets close as I approach him so she can rest.
“She’s going to be ok Gideon, she got attacked by a rogue and was torn up. Embry got to her in time and she’s healing,” I reassure trying to get him to calm down knowing if he wakes her, she’ll be in pain and probably panic after the injuries I healed.
“How bad?” Gideon whines as he paced watching Raven curl up to Embry’s side in the snow only covered by her ebony hair.
“Her femur was shattered, she had broken ribs, and her lung was punctured, I’ve healed her the best I can, but she can’t be moved yet,” I answer while moving out of Gideon’s way so he can check on her.
“How did you heal her; it only works for mates, Alphas, and healers?” Gideon questions while checking Raven over as his ears move back against his head and his tail goes between his legs.
“She’s our mate,” I answer making his head snap up as he looks between Embry and I like he can’t believe it.
“How? She’s not even old enough for the bond to be felt,” Gideon growls quietly making me tense at his reaction.
“She’s a Lycan Alpha, I can feel it; it’s probably why she found me,” I explain while laying back down next to Raven to help keep her warm against the cold snow.
“She’s just a child.”
“She is and she’ll go back to a life, I’m going to arrange for Alpha Quinn to take your family in to protect the girls from rogues or worse,” I cut him off from thinking I am going to take her while she is underage.
Gideon leaves us knowing Raven will stay safe with Embry and I.
After about an hour I shift back to carry Raven to their barn on their land where she can rest before Rebecca makes a fuss over her.
“I brought you supplies,” Embry softy speaks while coming into the barn dressed in sweats leaving his firm hairy chest bare with his red hair was pulled back.
“Thank you,” I sigh while grabbing a pair of black sweat pants and pull them on before laying a fur blanket over her.
“Of course, it’s going to be hard giving her space,” Embry chuckles a little while coming over and sits next to me making me shiver a little.
I have missed him deeply as we haven’t been together intimately in 20 years when I was forced to produce an heir.
Embry stayed as my Beta and helped me raise our daughter, but we never got back the relationship we had.
“It’s hard enough not touching you, we’ll have to deal with it, she’s too young and we need to think about keeping her safe,” I say while shrugging my shoulders hating the idea of having to walk away from her, but we have no choice she deserves to have a normal upbringing.
“Who knows maybe it’ll change once the pack finds out about her?” Embry suggests while nudging me and I nod with a gentle chuckle.
“Hopefully; but when she’s ready and it’s safe enough. She is going to have enough on her shoulders when she figures out what she is,” I yawn while laying down near her as Embry gets up to stand guard.
“Raven!” Liliana yells from outside stirring Raven awake making her sit up and look down at me with confusion.
“What are you doing here?” She questions while curling into herself clearly sore from what happened.
“Lay back you’ll be sore,” I gently speak while pulling up the fur blanket, she kicks off.
“You were attacked when you ran home. I took care of you, healing you the best I could. Do you want me to take you to your parents?” I ask while kneeling down in front of her feeling how uneasy she feels hearing her parents yelling for her.
I can’t help blushing a little when I stare into her obsidian eyes noticing her looking me over trying to understand what she is feeling.
“I don’t know,” she whimpers at Rebecca screaming for her so I nod and scoop her up into my arms.
“It’s ok come on,” I reassure while carrying her towards the barn door to find her identical twin opening the door.
They are very much the same except, their hair, eyes, and abilities. Raven’s hair and eyes are pitch black and her aura was that of an extraordinarily powerful Lycan Alpha.
While Liliana’s hair is silvery white with eyes that are pale blue and white near the center, her aura radiates her powerful Lycan Healer abilities.
“Daddy she’s here!” Liliana calls out with a look of relief flooding her like she is glad to see her sister’s ok.
“Liliana, get back!” Rebecca snarls while running beside Gideon as I carry Raven outside into the snow finding Liliana’s lack of fear very amusing.
“Raven, what are you doing where have you been, it’s morning?” Gideon panics taking her from my arms possessively as I rub her back trying to keep her calm.
“She’s ok, I found her last night. I took care of her and watched over her while she slept,” I explain while watching Rebecca not sure what Gideon told her about last night.
“I’m sorry,” Raven cries into her father’s shoulder clearly afraid from the anger radiating from both her parents, making it harder for me to let them take her.
“It’s ok Raven, we were so scared something worse happened… Thank you,” Gideon nods to me while pulling Rebecca to his arms as she frantically checks Raven.
“You’re welcome, I’ll see you around,” I dismiss myself while walking away before I can’t.
“Osric,” Embry’s voice flits through the link making me look out across the snow to see him waiting in the tree line.
“I’m fine,” I growl knowing he is staying close to make sure I don’t get aggressive with Gideon or Rebecca because of my temper.
“You know I can feel you through the bond, right?” Embry questions while walking towards me as I start walking towards Blood Moon’s borders.
“It doesn’t matter she’s safe and with her parents,” I answer while grabbing the piece of jerky he pulls out of a pack at his feet.
“You need to eat. I know she’s safe with them, I just don’t understand why she’s afraid of them,” Embry picks up the pace as we start into the forest heading home.
“It’s Rebecca, I’m not sure what’s going on, but I know being in a pack will help,” I admit while shaking my head not liking leaving our mate with someone, she is afraid of.
Raven’s POV Shortly after returning to Seattle, we were forced to leave the city and joined a real pack in Finland near Blood Moon. We lived peacefully in the pack able to hide Liliana’s abilities and that I shifted so young, but it all changed just after turning eleven. “Lily!” I call out feeling her fear as we were playing in the forest with other pack children, but they disappeared on us. “Where are you?” I ask quietly trying to find her scent as I can’t shift to find her because Alpha Quinn has no idea Liliana and I are different. “Lily!” I yell hearing my parents calling out for both of us from quite a distance and it is now getting dark. “Lily where are you; I know you’re scared,” searching for Liliana I try to link to her mind even though she has never been able to link me back. I nearly cry because I am still unable to communicate through the link without her shifting. I feel myself whimper as my hair stands on end making my claws start to come out feeling my sister’s f
“Raven, stay close, we’re going to my campsite to wait for your parents. Embry make sure no one from Wolf Creek follows,” Alpha Osric instructs while brushing his fingers through my fur and I nod. “Come on Liliana, I will carry you it will be faster,” Alpha Osric softly speaks while picking her up and she nods her head. “Why are you so nice to us?” Liliana questions with her arms around his neck rubbing against his beard. “Your family came from my pack. I felt your father become an Alpha of his own making, then I heard Raven’s howl. Blood Moon will always watch over you Little Luna, you and Raven are quite special,” Alpha Osric explains as he moves swiftly through the trees with me staying very close to his side. “How are we special?” Liliana asks while watching Alpha Osric who focuses on the path ahead. “You’re both Lycans meant to be alphas, born under the blood moon no less; one gifted with the power to heal and the other gifted the power of wrath,” Alpha Osric explains leading
“How are you feeling?” Osric questions while coming into his tent returning from scouting to find Liliana and I curled up together in his bed. “Tired,” Liliana answers while running her fingers through my silky onyx hair, I am curled in to her trying to process everything I have done. “It’s been a long night, just rest your parents are close. In the morning we’ll escort you to your grandmother’s house where you’ll be safe,” Osric admits while sitting in front of the fire as my eyes follow him unable to peel them away. “Why can’t we stay with your pack?” Liliana asks the one question I want to ask; but feel like I can’t, afraid of the answer. “You wouldn’t be safe; Blood Moon is one of the oldest packs to exist and follows outdated traditions that I am changing. They also follow the rule of an Elder Council which won’t appreciate Raven and her powers, so it’s safer for your family to hide for now. Someday it will be a place for your family,” Osric answers watching me sit up holding
We move back to Seattle Washington hoping for things to go back to normal, but they don’t. Being able to shift and knowing how different Liliana and I are causes us to grow a little distant over the years. I always have extra attention and need to learn about being a wolf, how to control myself, how to hunt, and how to blend in. While I am being trained as a wolf Liliana is being watched by close family friend Jonathan who is teaching her about our history. Liliana doesn’t need to be taught about her magic since it comes naturally to her, she knows her limits and that she can heal me more than anyone else without harming herself. Then things get even more difficult just after we turn seventeen when Jonathan disappears. In the middle of the night, we were taken to our dad’s friend Nikki’s house in California with no explanation of why. “What’s going on?” I ask while looking around for my parents as Nikki comes inside after being on the phone. Liliana and I are sitting on the couc
Trigger Warning: Talk of abuse/rape of a 17-year-old “What?” Ryder nearly yells while opening the door wafting the room with my dad’s scent. “Ryder, I need to talk to Raven,” Dad answers, my heart begins to race because part of me wants to hide while the other part wants to run into my dad’s arms. “I don’t know who you’re talking about, I’ve been staying up here alone,” Ryder answers making me blush and I can hear my dad chuckle slightly. “I can smell that she’s in here, it’s ok Ryder. Thank you for making sure she was safe,” Dad said while stepping into the tree house and I curl up tighter. “She doesn’t want anyone,” Ryder argues trying not to let my dad further into the tree house. “I know she’s going through a lot, but I do need to talk to my daughter and make sure she’s ok,” Dad softly speaks so I pull the blanket down letting Dad see my head and he smiles gently. “I’m fine,” I sigh while sitting up and Ryder looks back at me in concern. “Good, we still need to talk. Can yo
Liliana’s POV “Hey,” Raven whispers when we both wake up alone in the room. “Hi,” I sigh while looking down at my stomach feeling Raven pull me into her warm arms where she holds me tight. “Are you ok all things considered,” Raven question while running her fingers through my hair. I can feel her protective aura slowly fill the room covering us like a soothing warm blanket. “I don’t know, I’m having Jonathan’s baby…I just don’t know what to do,” I whisper while looking up trying to fight back the tears flooding my eyes not sure how to feel. Every part of me knows what Jonathan did to me was very wrong, but part of me felt drawn to him at the time and could feel how much he cared for me. “I’m so sorry, I should have helped you,” Raven apologizes while brushing my hair from my face placing her warm lips to my forehead making me hold onto her tighter. “You’re here now,” I whisper then begin to cry into her shoulder feeling very relieved to let Raven in. “And I’m not going anywher
“Alright girls we’re here, we’re going to go straight back to an exam room, Liliana you’ll need to change into a gown after the nurse takes your vitals,” Dad explains while parking in front of a very nice doctor’s office near the hospital. “Ok,” I yawn while walking close to our dad with Raven behind me. “You don’t need to be afraid here, the people here are very professional,” Dad says after greeting the people at the front desk then leads us through a door that opens to a hallway with doors to exam rooms. “This seems nice,” Raven comments while looking around as I nod my head staying close to Dad and holding onto his arm. “Ok Liliana a nurse should be in, in just a moment she’s going to take your vitals while I get a chart set up for you. Once she’s done change into this gown for a pelvic exam,” our dad explains while grabbing a gown from a cupboard and places it on the counter as Raven stands by the exam table. “Thank you, Daddy,” I sigh while hugging him as tight as I can. “Y
“Liliana, how are you feeling?” Rebecca questions while rushing over and pulls me into her arms. “I’m ok,” I whisper while holding onto my mom and looking at Raven and our dad wondering if I should tell her. “Good, I love you and I’m sorry if I ever scare you,” Rebecca apologizes while running her fingers through my hair and smiles at me like she is relieved. “I love you too Mom,” I sigh deeply kissing her cheek then sit down between my parents for Raven to sits across from me. “I’ve already put our order in, is everything ok?” Rebecca questions while looking at me in concern and I nod not wanting to worry her. “Yeah, I’m ok,” I say, looking over at Raven and holding my stomach not sure what to do as she nods her head encouraging me to talk. “I’m 20 weeks pregnant with a boy,” I softly speak, my voice quivers a little while watching Raven who looks like she is about to lose control. “How far?” Rebecca questions while looking at me then our dad who grabs my hand trying to comfor
