Chapter 18

Asher spent an hour late at work, so he could take proper care of the crisis and correct some files he needed urgently. His phone rang and looking at it to see the caller was Avery, he pressed the power button and the phone rang silently till the call ended.

Avery’s call came in again.

Asher sighed, tired. He wanted to press the power button again but picked it up.

“Call me later. I’m busy right now.” He announced immediately as he picked up the call, and he ended it without allowing her to say a word. He put the phone down on the desk and continued working.

Twenty minutes later, Asher closed the file and dropped it on the left side of the desk. He picked another one from the middle of the twenty files packed on the right side of the desk.

He opened the first page and checked his wristwatch. “Oh, my!” He opened his mouth, surprised. He didn’t know the time had gone.
