CHAPTER 1

WHEN Addison heard the alarm clock noisily ticking, she hurried to wash her body. She said, “Come on, Addi, this is your biggest day.” When she was done, she went straight to the walk-in closet to steal the garments. She didn't mind if she entered and left her home naked because she was the only person residing there. She nearly wrecked her cabinet only to find the little pistol by yelling, “Fuck! Where's my gun?” She had to arrive on time for the meeting because it was her biggest day. The girl was startled by the repeated ringing of her phone.

The man shouted angrily into the phone, “Where are you? The council needs you right now, as in ASAP!” She placed the phone away in her ear since she thought her eardrum was about to burst.

She screamed at him and cut off the conversation, saying, “On my way, old hag, must find my baby pistol and don't even shout the phone!” When Addison found what she was seeking for, she was suddenly violently blown away.

Using a remote, she locked the entire house and drove away. A few more minutes wasted because of avoiding traffic. Damn Manila, why do you always have to be like this? Frustration is written on her angelic face. Her cell phone rang again. Her mood swelled with annoyance when she answered Ricky's call.

“Where the hell are you?” he shouted again, she hissed inwardly and inadvertently dropped the phone.

She could make out the headquarters of the company she worked for, CDJ, from a distance. Compared to the main headquarters located in Hamburg, it is only modest. No one dared enter the elevator with her when she arrived in the parking lot; they may have been terrified, but she won't care like hell. She waited for the elevator to stop and open while stomping her feet quietly and patiently. Additionally, she took some bubble gum out of his suit's pocket and munched it. Later, when the elevator opened, Rickyy's misplaced face was visible on her.

Her supervisor greeted her and led her into the council chamber, saying, “God, you're finally here.” Addison chose to disregard that, though, and simply sat down in the prepared swivel chair. He asked, “You need anything?” Ricky doesn't appear to be a supervisor because she appears to have higher power than this and even addresses her as his master. Despite the fact that she is the reason why Ricky sat on that position, not as if she does not want it to act above him.

Addison complied at once, “A cup of coffee and a jar of bubble gum.” She heard pretending cough by one of the council members to took her attention. A man walked over and set a folder down.

“Your next target.” One of the councils said, she scowled as she turned the page, thinking that the council's approach was archaic; if only they could communicate with her through mail. That will be simple and free of inconvenience and traffic.

“Is that all?” she raised her eyebrow looking at them one-by-one, she thought she would be given a promotion but a mission was given. Now she realizes if there is a lack of some people working there as an assassin.

“We’re still working for your promotion, but first, take that person down within this week,” Addison took a loud breath in disbelief.

“This is not what I wanted! I want my promotion so that I can go home now! Isn't that clear for you to understand?” she hissed. The only reason she’s here in the Philippines is because they said she had to knock down that drug lord for her promotion, yes, she did it last year, and then the council gave her a series of assignments. She had no choice but to endure a hellish existence for two years. She never stops wishing she could go back to Berlin.

Another man said in a foreboding voice, “You're in the presence of the council, manslayer show some respect!” She cursed silently in anger. “We need you here, CDJ would be ruined without you.” That’s always their reason, and they always got her with that reason. What exactly are those terms and she can't deny?

She took a deep breath and sighed. “Fine!” she surrendered. Without hesitation, she left the councils with a smile of success, making her even more annoyed.

“What a boring assignment! There is not much thrill. Unlike in Hamburg, where the opponents also hire professional assassins, it gives me a thrill and excitement unlike this.” She mumbled. When she got in the car, he opened the folder again, the profile of his next target. “Quinn Dheemant, Pakistan nationality, a refugee?” She read what was written. This person is too boring. It states that it sells drugs, illegal transactions, and places where they go and stay. All the information he needed was there. It doesn't seem hard to play hide and seek from this person. He is just like an open book.

She took a quick look at her silver baby gun in the storage space. Tsk. She won't waste such bullets for him. She replied, “What a fool,” and cranked the engine.

She went to the disorganized room when she arrived home and instantly collapsed to the floor. She's not in the mood to kill the victim right away. She might allow it to savour its final moments on earth. She grinned mischievously.

When the iPod snoozed later, she realized it was an email from the main HQ. She read the email right away, and to her astonishment, the head council from Hamburg reprimanded her and questioned why she allegedly committed the offense in front of the council earlier and why she hurriedly aches for the promotion. Addison sighed inwardly. They picked up after Addison pressed the call button.

One of the head councils was opened with the phrase “What the heck did you do?” She simply rolled her eyes at them and complained that the subject was so dull. “Answer us, Addison!”

The young woman only sighed before responding. “How much time do I need to spend here? You informed me that killing that man was my final task, but a year has passed and I'm still here!” she grumbled. Some of them had their shoulders shrugged, she noticed. For a VISA to travel back to Berlin, she needs to advance her position. She desperately wanted that visa because it was more than just a typical one utilized at the airport. If she, had it, CDJ would no longer hunt her down

“They need you there, don't worry I'll assign someone to work with you and I'm coming too.” Head council Tamara Seidler suggested that made her eyebrow raised in friction. It looks like her stay there will be long.

“Anyway, take your assignment seriously manslayer, that man is much harder to take down. I warned you.” One of them added.

She could do nothing but follow their wishes, besides, her total salary was huge. She dropped the call and for a moment stared at herself with the reflection on the iPod. “That's it, Addison, you have to do your task, live your life the way you wanted and get a promotion.”

She cleaned the room and changed her clothes immediately. She will need to entertain herself because she stresses all day. A woman really needs to unwind and enjoy wine. She hid all the weapons in a secret compartment behind a large wardrobe. No one knows her as a “manslayer” because she knows many are looking for her. She is also on the top list of the International Police and just needs to mark her profile as “Red Notice.”

She's wearing an all-black revealing pencil dress, paired with black stilettos, a black pouch, and a black mask. She has a party to attend. She poked her hair and inserted another dagger into her head that appeared to be nothing more than a decoration.

In an instant, she accelerated her sedan and came to a stop in front of the El Paradiso club. A location where everyone can find paradise, where they can do anything and everything. To be precise, it resembles a cross between a bar, a casino, and a hotel. However, the most intriguing feature is that you may purchase other people to satisfy your desires.

When she entered, the space was chaotic, vibrant, and smoky. Everywhere you look, people are having fun, dancing, and drinking. The masks they are all wearing make it impossible to tell who he is meeting right away. Such a tricky thing.

She went to the bar counter and ordered tequila in a sophisticated way when someone approached her. “Hi, can I buy you?”

She automatically looked up at the man. “I'm sorry, but I'm not for sale.” Quickly, she grabs his finger and breaks it. What she hates most is those who precede her to get what she wants. It screamed in pain and quickly walked away from him.

“Remember Addi, you are gold even if you hate the colour gold.” She shook her promise to herself. She poured tequila into a glass of wine once more, sipping it down if it was just water. She had the exact amount of inebriation to dance and have a good time! He stumbled onto the dance floor and started to move. She felt a man touch her from behind, but she just kept dancing despite it.

“Woo! All drink is on me!” She yelled, causing them to cheer wildly in joy. Nobody has ever bothered or dared to try to stop her. “I'll get a promotion soon!” she exclaims, her head spinning as she struggles to see what is going on around her.

Addison groaned when she felt small kisses touch her bare shoulder and neck. The heat dripped all over her body. It happens every time but tonight was different and she don’t have an answer on it.

The male voice said, “Just for tonight,” and kissed her once more. The person she recently encountered is not this guy. She infers that he is wealthy based on his aura. And more than that, she finds him masculine cause he had a broad-shoulders, his scent was a mixture of masculinity, rum and a musk. The man was somehow intriguing.

She smiled and opened her crimson, kissable lips to the man. She groans, “Don't, let me buy you, instead.” Addison saw his lips form a smile a devilish sexy and seductive one, and he continued to give her little kisses, which gave me an unfathomable rush of joy. Damn! He excels at this. She can tell what he needs precisely from the fact that his hands are fumbling all over her body. Addi gave him a smile. The next thing she knew, her body was lifted, walking out of the crowd.

“Don't rush sweetheart, take me slowly.” She mumbled seductively.
