Chapter 15: The Damage is Done

Isabelle’s Point of View:

“You know that he’s not gonna let this go even after two weeks,” He looked at me, “Go find this man. He will make you a fake ID. Leave the country.”

I scoffed. “Do you think I am gonna follow your instructions after what you did?”

“After what you believe I did? No, but even if you think I did, I know you know that dad is never gonna let you go. I will not know where you go, Bella and neither will anyone else. Leave when you have time.”

“How do I know this is not another game of yours?”

He kept a hand on my cheek. I tried to pull back but his intense gaze held me.

“I don’t know how you could believe it all to be fake, Bella, but when I go back to that night— all I see is pleasure, happiness and love. If you felt any of those emotions that night, go and set yourself free.”

I stepped back and looked down. “I will think about it.”

“I hope you do,” He said before walking out, “And if this is the last time we’re seeing each other, I hope you forgive me.”
