Carrie

I sat in the room, surrounded by walls that felt like they were closing in on me. Anger and frustration swirled within me, intensifying my desire to escape this place. I refused to go out and face the world at Silverfang. The mere thought of it made my blood boil. Being forced to stay here against my wishes was the thing I hated the most, and the fact that Jesse, my so-called mate, had conspired with my family only made it worse.

But the biggest blow came when my spirit wolf, the one I had always relied on, betrayed me by refusing to help me leave. I felt utterly alone in this unfamiliar territory, with no one to turn to for comfort.

I felt so alone.

Just when I thought I couldn't bear it any longer, a knock on the door disrupted the suffocating silence. It was Nancy, Jesse's mom.
