Carrie

Nancy guided me to my room after the celebration, her touch providing solace amidst my whirlwind of emotions. Sensing my restlessness, she said, "The announcement must have tired you. You should take a rest." I mustered a grateful smile and replied, "I appreciate your concern, Nancy, but I think I need to reach out to my family. I want to call them if that's alright."

Nancy nodded, her warm smile unwavering. "Of course, Carrie. I understand. Come with me, I'll take you to Jesse's study. It's more private there." We walked in silence, and as we entered the study, she patted my back reassuringly. "Take all the time you need, Carrie. If you need anything, I'll be right outside."
