CHAPTER 3

Sofiya’s pov.

“Sign here,” Michael pointed, flipping the pages “…and here,”

After I was done signing, he took the paper and pen and kept them in his briefcase.

“You are officially mine for the next two years,” He announced.

My mouth dropped wide open.

“Can you at least work on your facial expressions, you are going to be seeing a lot of strange things while you are with me and the last thing I need is for you to be walking around like you are being haunted,” He added.

“T…Two…” I opened my mouth and closed them.

“Don’t tell me you can’t speak as well,” he said leaning against his chair.

I swallowed the lump in my throat. “Two years is a long time,”

“I don’t know why you wanted to get married to me and I don’t care but I need you to convince my mom you are absolutely in love with me and you hope to one day be my destined mate,”

“Mate????,”

“Yes, I am not human as you presume, I am a werewolf, the Alpha of the biggest pack,” He announced proudly. Something with the way he said it sounded like he was telling the truth.

“Werewolf?” I questioned “ I thought that only exists in stories,”

“Yeah, Humans have a way of lying to themselves once they find out they are not the superior species on this planet,” Michael replied casually.

“If what you say is true, how come I have never encountered one,” I asked.

“Oh, you have. Every single day of your life, we live amongst your kind,” He smirked.

“Show me,”

He walked up to me and leaned in closer, when he was inches away from my face, he asked “Are you sure sweetheart,”

“Yes,” I murmured, avoiding his gaze and fiddling with my hands.

He took a step back from me and transformed into a large white wolf, my knees felt like jelly staring at this magnificent creature and I fainted.

********

I opened my eyes again to find out that I was in a moving car, I turned to my side to find Micheal pressing his phone.

“Took you so long to wake up, Redhead,” he said without lifting his face from his phone.

I pulled the strand of hair in my mouth “Where are we going?”

“To meet my mom,” he replied casually.

“What?” I yelled, with wide eyes.

“Don’t shout Sofiya, my ears are very sensitive,” he said turning to me.

At this point, my heart was racing so fast, the thought of meeting his mom made me sick to my stomach.

“I can’t meet your mom looking like this,” I said looking at my outfit, I was still in my pajamas and I had not brushed or combed my hair since my ex broke up with me. I looked like a total mess.

Micheal eyed me up and down, “I am fully aware that you look like a stray dog right now but don’t worry, a stylist is waiting for you at home, hopeful he turn you into something less of an eyesore before she arrives,”

I winced at the way he talked about my appearance and I wanted too badly to disappear and never see him again.

He shoved some papers into my hands.

“What is this?” I asked, looking at him.

“It contains everything you need to know about me, study them because my mom is going to ask questions,”

I flipped through the pages and sighed heavily.

“There is no way I will be able to learn all this in a short time,” I whined.

“You are the best graduating student of Macgone University, That means you are smart, so I expect more from you,” he said and continued to stroll through his phone signaling the end of our conversation.

We rode in silence until we arrived at our destination. It was the biggest mansion I had ever seen and I opened my mouth wide in awe, Michael watching me, smirked, and held my hands as he led me inside.

A tall slender man in an exceptionally stylish outfit came to greet us.

“Good day Mr stone, So glad to be walking with you again,” he said and then raised his hands to shake Michael’s hand.

“Good to see you,” Michael answered.

“Is she the one,” The man asked, eying me up and down as he studied my form, I felt self-conscious.

“Yes, she is to be my wife,” he announced proudly.

The man gasped and one look from Michael changed his expression. “My apologies Mr stone, I never thought you would be getting married anytime soon much less to a redhead, you have always seemed to fancy blond girls,”

“Quit talking and do your job,” he scolded.

“Sorry Mr stone,” he apologized again, “Come with me young lady, and let my brush do its magic,”

I went into the bathroom and took a long warm bath, after I was done bathing, I slipped into the sexy black dress the stylist gave to me and we stayed in silence as we each did our own job. I was learning what I needed to know about Micheal while he did my makeup trying to make me look beautiful.

When the stylist was done, I gasped as I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I looked stunning, my blue eyes seemed to pop brightly, I turned to him and mouthed a thank you.

“ I am glad you like it, Miss, Mr Stone did not make a bad decision after all.” He said, “Now go and show him,” he added guiding me to the door.

I took a deep breath before descending downstairs.

Micheal smiled widely as I approached him, “You are truly beautiful, redhead,”

“Thank you,” I whispered softly as my face heated up.

“My mom is waiting for you, so better be on your best behavior,”

I nodded, following him.

Just when a middle-aged lady walked into the room, that’s when my luck ran out, I stumbled on my own feet falling to the ground.
