MIRIAM'S POV

Five hundred and twenty seven years old and she looked this young, it was unbelievable.

I walked inside following her tentatively with Eli right behind me as my eyes scanned the entire area. This was probably not what I had been expecting when they mentioned a witch's home. I had been expecting the usual hangings and signs of witchery as if my own home had not been as ordinary as would be back in the days. However, her home seemed pretty much as decent as any other house.

"Not what you expected?" She suddenly asked me like she had been reading my mind, I had not expected her to notice that I had been staring so openly.

I quickly flashed her a quick smile.

"Nice place." I said to her but I was still looking for something that would hint me that she was a witch. There had to be something.

Suddenly, a bird crackled and I saw the raven. Now my curiosity could be at bay that there was some significance of what she was.

"Please sit down." She said to us pointing to the two sea
