CHAPTER SEVENTY EIGHT

"Good evening" I greeted casually taking a seat.

"Good evening too" He replied clearing his throat.

"Please go straight to the point, I don't have time" I said crossing my legs.

"How impatient you have become" He muttered rubbing his forehead like he always does when he was nervous.

What he told me really shocked me. He talked about how his phone had been stolen the day he got home and how he had lost my contact. He talked about how he had received it after some weeks and expected my calls or text but never saw them.

Then when school had resumed then he had gone back to school. And after some weeks he had expected me to visit him at least even though I never called but he never saw any sign of me.

He said that after some months Martha had come to his place unexpectedly and told him that I had an accident and died in the process back at home. I couldn't believe my ears. I didn't believe him at first but then he asked me to call Martha myself and confirm it in his front.
