It's been two weeks now since I met Jayden. He still wrote to me every day, but sometimes I answered and sometimes I didn't. I thought about him a lot and started searching the internet for him over and over again.
Debora and Dwayne were still sizzling, but sadly they hadn't been together yet. I have no idea which of the two needed an invitation, probably both. They spent a lot of time together and I was very close to Debby too. She really was totally fine. Debby had also become part of our clique and had found her place among us. We were very similar in many ways and attitudes and I was really thankful that we had almost every class together. We also sometimes studied together after school, which really showed in both of our grades, because not only I but Debby was an A student.
It was only a week until that school party at Heaven . There were posters advertising it all over the school and it was the number one topic of conversation.
Dwayne came into the cafeteria on Thursday with our tickets. He gave them to all of us in an envelope. Jane tore open hers immediately and was amazed. "Are there VIP tickets for us?"
Dwayne grinned around everyone. “There must still be an advantage in being the owner's son! Of course we get access to the VIP, as always, but with the tickets they said Dad, at least it's official!'
Kirsten was happy and clapped his hands excitedly. »Super cool! What shall we wear?'
Dwayne grinned proudly and explained that we should go to this party dressed up a bit, especially as VIPs.
What am I supposed to wear? Maybe my black jeans and a blouse? Then all I heard was Debby saying, "...okay, so dresses and a suit?" Dwayne nodded to her.
"Exactly, at least for us suit pants, I'm not taking a jacket with me!"
Steve laughed and shook his head. "Well, if so, then right!" And the others agreed. I was completely taken by surprise.
"A dress? I hardly ever wear clothes!”
By lunchtime, before I knew it, I was at the mall with Debby. Dwayne followed and found us in a store that really only sold dresses. That was absolutely not my thing. Debby had fun and immediately started poking around. Dwayne stood by me and encouraged me to pick out clothes on me.
'Debby, I can't find anything! Try on your selection, then we'll move on!"
Debby looked at me in horror. 'How can you not find anything here? There are only dresses here, there will be one for you too!...” She took her clothes to a changing room and started looking again. This time she handed me a bunch of clothes and then she shoved me into the dressing room right next to hers. Dwayne sat down on a chair in front of it.
But he quickly became impatient. “Are you finally wearing one? Get out!' We both got out of the cubicles and Dwayne was lovingly watching Debby as she twirled in the mirror. But she didn't like the color she was wearing and so the dress was out of the question for her. I didn't feel comfortable in that black short dress. You could probably tell by looking at me too.
Dwayne winked at me. "Not bad, but it's not that!"
We tried on what felt like 1000 dresses and I didn't like any of them. Debby already had a favorite and ended up taking it and I was just stumped. A young saleswoman came and brought me a knee-length white dress.
"Try this!" I did what she asked, came out and nobody said anything. So shit? Oh my...
"So bad?"
Dwayne had to blink again. Debby, on the other hand, jumped up and hugged me. "You have a dress!!!" I grinned and took another look at myself in the mirror. Before I didn't have one, I just took it.
Dwayne carried our clothes into the parking garage. His car and Debby's were almost next to each other. 'Then the party can start tomorrow! Joey, get in, I need to talk to Debby for a minute!” I was curious and opened the window so I could hear something. I drove home with Dwayne because Debby lived in town and we lived in the suburbs, which was about a twenty minute drive.
»...Debby, wait a minute...I wanted to ask you if you want to go with me tomorrow? ...So as my companion?” She hugged him and nodded.
"Yes very much! I thought you wouldn't ask!' Then he got into the car and we drove home.
At least Dwayne stopped bugging me by asking about Jayden. I wouldn't answer anymore either, there wasn't anything new anyway. Everything was just so normal in my life, there was no place for a celebrity anyway.
I was in my room, hanging the dress in my closet, and my phone vibrated again.
I miss you.
jayden
After staring at Jayden's message forever, I was able to collect myself. How can he keep throwing me off track like that? I turned on my pc and had to g****e Jayden again and I found out that he and his band were out of town. They had a concert a few places away. His message drove me insane. I didn't want to write back. My head said no, but my heart longed for him. Seeing the pictures on the internet were not the same.
Oh yes?
Tomm-tomm. He's never answered so quickly.
so much!
I have to think of you all the time.
jayden
I put my phone down before I wrote any more nonsense. I got butterflies in my stomach just thinking about him. Debora's words went through my head again.
»...But what I understand is...that he has a crush on you! It must be something like love at first sight for you! ...And that Joey, ....really doesn't come around very often!..."
The fact that he always wrote me something like this made all the feelings in my body come alive that I had never perceived or experienced before. I thought about whether it would have been the right thing to meet up with him and just talk. Jayden wasn't in town anyway so I had to put it off until next week, I really made it my mind.
I looked at some pics of him again and Jayden was so handsome, really hot. I also found pictures of his brother Craig and that's when I realized Craig was all tattooed. His whole arm was full of it. But it really suited him. Rocker!
Friday's class went by far too quickly. I wasn't even ready for the evening. But it came faster than I would have liked. Dwayne promised to get me.
I put on more makeup than usual and curled my hair. Finally I slipped into my white dress. I looked at myself in the mirror and laughed because it wasn't me.
The horn honked outside, I grabbed my bag and stormed downstairs. My mom bought me extra shoes to match my dress. I think she was happy that I finally dressed up and couldn't wear my Chucks.
She then wanted to take a picture of me, which I was really embarrassed about. I teased her that it wasn't a prom and that she shouldn't get used to such an outfit from me. She just nodded at me and my dad also told me how pretty I was. I kissed him on the cheek and said to him as I left, "You have to say something like that to me because I'm your daughter!" He laughed and I let the door slam shut.
I was amazed. Dwayne stood in front of a black soda and held the door open. I slowly moved towards it. "Are you serious?" He grinned cheekily at me, didn't say a word until I got in. She was really huge in the interior.
We picked up Jane and Dan next, then Kirsten, Steve and finally Debby. She lived not far from the club.
We all drank a glass of sparkling wine together and were totally excited during the journey. Kirsten really beamed. "The madness! Dwayne, you've outdone yourself this time!” The limo pulled up right outside and a few students I recognized by sight were queuing outside the club.
Jamal was in his place as usual, right in front of the door. He opened the barrier and greeted us all like old friends, like always. Then he gave us all the golden drinks menu again and explained that we still got wristbands for the VIP area inside. Sally sat at the cash register and took the tickets. You could only come in with them and there was no box office at all. We got the wristbands from her and she explained to us that there was only a small selection of drinks tonight.
The club was really already full and I took a closer look around. Most of the girls wore dresses, but the boys were dressed a little more casually, except for ours. They all dutifully wore a suit and it really made them more elegant and masculine. Dan had casually rolled up his jacket sleeves and didn't let go of his pretty Jane. It was really busy, but Dwayne went ahead and made a way for us to the VIP stairway. He had Debby on his hand and she beamed at him every time their eyes met. Dwayne excitedly greeted the security at the stairs who let us upstairs. They all smiled at us and we took a seat in the VIP area. Dwayne stopped at the same lounge that Jayden and his band were last time and I remembered the evening again. My stomach twisted and I quickly tried to distract myself. A few drinks were already chilled and ready to drink on the small table. The guys poured everyone something and we toasted together.
We girls went dancing and it felt so good to be able to really switch off again. We haven't had this much fun together in a long time. Kirsten then started dancing with a guy I knew but couldn't remember his name. After that she was invited by him to the bar.
I drank my sparkling wine glass after glass and danced until my feet hurt. As I ordered my next glass at the bar, I felt someone behind me. "Hey... you really do look good!" It was Mike. I glanced over at him briefly. He was wearing dark jeans and a shirt, no comparison to my boys. No comparison at all. "Would you like something to drink?" He stopped the bartender and ordered us something. I had no choice but to clink glasses with him and still didn't say a word. "Joey, I'm sorry! For real! I'm sorry for everything!"
I shook my head and tried to stay calm. "I think it's too late for that, Mike!" I wanted to get past him and back to the others when he grabbed me.
"No, please... wait..." I looked up at him, admiring his charisma. He was really handsome. Everyone wanted a friend like that.
"What do you want Mike?" He thought about what to say but couldn't get a word out. Then I walked past him and I noticed him walking behind me. I took flight into the hallway where it went to the toilets. I just wanted to go to the women's room and he couldn't follow me there.
He managed to grab me by the arm again before I reached the restroom. I turned to him and it made me furious that he grabbed me like that. "Let go of me!" I jerked my arm away from him and Mike stared at me, startled.“Joey, let me make it up to you. I miss you! I regret everything I did to you... Please give me one more chance!"I passed him again, but then stopped. The anger just came over me. I took a small step towards him and let a girl pass who had just come out of the toilet and pushed past Mike. I waited until the door to the club was closed behind me. "Are you completely out of your mind? You screwed me from start to finish! So I'm supposed to give you one more chance to fool me again and brag about it to your friends. You're a complete nut...' I did hear the door open behind me and the volume increase for a moment, but I got caught up in my freak and kept yelling at Mike.»...Who do you think you are? Just because you were the first one I loved doesn't mean you're the last!
I followed him into the parking lot in front of Heaven . I looked for an expensive car, but we headed for awhite pickup. “Wow, so this is yours? If I hadn't thought of it, I was expecting a fat Audi or BMW! No Ford pickup!' He unlocked the car. “No, mine is with my mom! It's my dad's!” Jayden gave me his shy smile. "And what kind of car do you have ?" He walked me to the passenger door. "A fat BMW!" When he tried to mock me, he had to laugh. "Where are we going?" He lifted the passenger door for me and I was surprised at how big and roomy the car was inside. But I didn't get an answer. He drove off and I had no choice but to listen to the radio. We were almost out of town, in a neighborhood I've never been to. When he stopped the car at the side of the road, I finally wanted to know more and broke the silence. "Jayden, where are we? What are we doing here?” He got out and before he closed the door I got my answer. "Just wait here, I'll go get something!" It wasn't the answer I
I started telling him about myself and trusted him completely. His gaze was directed at me and he radiated this warmth and security towards me.»Okay,.... well, in kindergarten I had my first great love, if you can call it that. His name was Thomas. We'd even kissed, just on the mouth, but he was my first boyfriend...' I smiled, thinking about that weightless time with Thomas. What was he doing today? After second grade, Thomas moved away with his family and I hadn't seen him since."That doesn't count..." Jayden laughed and gave me a quick wink. I had to laugh a little too."...okay, okay... So my first kiss....I had..with Dwayne..." I watched his reaction and he looked genuinely a little surprised. I got a little unsure at his look again and quickly continued talking. »...but that was just out of curiosity. We wanted to know how to kiss when we were twelve. So we thought we could try it together and kissed... It was so awful...' I laughed at the memory. Jayden just grinned. I had ne
There we were in Jayden's dad's pickup truck, right in front of my house. It was already six in the morning. I had no idea how the time went by so quickly, but Jayden felt the same way, I knew that.I looked over at him and he smiled at me with his tousled brown hair. "Thanks for the great evening... or rather night?!" He took my hand and kissed the back of my hand again. I didn't let go of his hand and kissed his cheek."I hope it wasn't so bad that we left your school party?" I shook my head slightly and stroked his hand, which I still held tightly."No, it was just right and the best breakfast I've ever had!" He smiled familiarly and pointed to the front door. I saw that the curtain on the window next to our front door moved a bit. Oh no."You'd better go inside..."I got very nervous because I didn't know what to expect at home. Hopefully I didn't get in trouble. "That must be my mom." I leaned in and planted a kiss on his warm lips, then quickly got out of the car. He waited unti
That's a really fat BMW. A matte black BMW was parked in front of our house and I was blown away by this car.Jayden held the door open for me and put his sunglasses back on. He planted a kiss on my cheek and I got in.When we finally drove off I turned the radio down. "What did my dad want from you?"He stared down the street. "It's not that important."I crossed my arms. "Jayden! Tell me!"He took a deep breath and began to explain it very calmly. "He made me realize I should be careful."I didn't understand. "What should you watch out for?"Jayden braked at a red light and looked at me. "Well, that with us! He warned me to leave you alone if I wasn't serious about you. After all, I'm a rock star!...” He looked at me, waiting for a reaction, but I looked sadly at the traffic light. “...Joey, it's okay. Look at the situation. He sees a famous guy with his vulnerable little daughter... I would do the same if I were him!'I shook my head. "It's not okay to threaten you!"But Jayden def
There was an excellent barbecue with everything your heart desired. It was so delicious and really really tasty that I stuffed myself totally full. I felt so bad after eating that I regretted eating so much.I helped clear the table with Debora while Jayden and his parents pounced on Dwayne. They questioned him, just like my parents did to Jayden earlier.Rachel was very grateful that we cleaned everything up, so she could relax too. I've always liked to help wherever I could.Debby told me where to find the toilet and I made my way through the big house. It was furnished as comfortably as I only knew from a catalog or TV series when they redecorated the houses. When I was on my way back out, I stopped briefly in the hallway to the living room. Family photos hung over the fireplace. I was blown away and even discovered Jayden as a little kid."What are you doing?" Jayden scared me to death and he wrapped his arms around me from behind and hugged me. He kissed my neck below my ear and
It was Sunday and I was hanging out alone with Dwayne again. I was with him and we played a bit on the PlayStation. In the afternoon Kirsten, Dan, Jane and Steve joined them. We had a lot of fun playing party games on the console and we all got to hang out together again.Dwayne's parents were with mine, having dinner together and enjoying the evening. So we had no storm. Dwayne ordered us some party pizza. As we were about to eat, Dan asked him. "Where is Debby anyway?"Dwayne spoke with his mouth full. "She actually wanted to be there for dinner!"Jane sat on Dan's lap. "Maybe something got in the way? She'll come...' And as soon as I said it out loud, the doorbell rang.Dwayne disappeared around the corner and several voices were heard. He came towards us with his widest grin. After that came Debby, two handsome boys I didn't know and Jayden. I didn't know I would see him and felt uncomfortable for a moment because I was wearing his hoodie, which he gave me on the pickup. He beamed
Jayden's expression turned very tense and uncertain towards me. His eyes went over the school parking lot again.Reality caught up with me faster than I thought. I climbed into Jayden's passenger seat like it was the only solution. Debby opened the door behind me and put my stuff inside. She nodded to me when I wanted to get in. "Come on, get in! I'm waiting for Dwayne!”I tried to smile, but had no idea what I was really able to produce.Jayden drove off the school grounds, scowling. I have no idea what he was thinking or what was going on in his head."Actually, I wanted to invite you to dinner? Would you like to?”I thought about it.Now I knew what Debby meant. So that's really what it's like to be with someone who's famous. People are talking, whispering, taking pictures and giving you really weird looks. I'm not really the guy who likes to be the center of attention and Jayden just does that. Of course there are people who don't give a fuck what we did or whether we loved each o
