Dinner with a friend

After finally being left alone in the kitchen, Lydia started to cook right away. She chops the carrots by using the diagonal cut and then she chops the potatoes while still boiling a pot of water in order to make some stock. She doesn't waste any second turning in the kitchen doing this and that.

Lydia actually enjoys cooking. Even if a long 5 hours trip does really make her tired, cooking can give her all the relaxation she needs.

Soon, she finally finished tonight's dinner for her and Luciano. She has spare dishes for Raylan in case he still can make it home tonight.

"Dinner is ready!"

Lydia calls out to Luciano who is still in the living room. Hearing her voice, he quickly pops his head into the kitchen.

"Smell so good! What are we having tonight?"

"Veggies soup and grilled chicken! Hope you like it!"

Luciano's smile twisted a little bit. Not only their attitudes are the same but now also their appetite? Luciano can't tell if they are meaning so or that it's just all coincidental. But he knows he wouldn't want to know the answer to this.

Somehow only thinking of it gives him goosebumps.

"What's wrong?"

"No…! Nothing! I… I'll help you with the table!"

Luciano tries to hide his emotions and brings the dishes to the table. Lydia can tell he's hiding his awkwardness but she's not sure what can cause him to be awkward. She tilted her head thinking a bit. But in the end, she chose to click her tongue and pretend she saw nothing. She'll wait until he's ready to talk. She doesn't rush finding the answer.

After that, Lydia follows Luciano to the table as they both sit down and enjoy Lydia's cooking.

They make small talk. About their daily life. After all, they haven't met for a whole year. There's lots and lots of things for them to catch up, to talk about.

Luciano tells some jokes and Lydia laughs at it. She told him about her plan and he's giving her advice.

Time just like that, soon flies.

"Oh my, look at the time!"

Lydia gasps as she realizes she has spent too much time chit chatting till this late and she even hasn't finished unpacking her luggage.

"I can't believe that it's this late…"

Luciano said as he starched his head.

"It's a little bit late to prepare a room for you right now… so how about you sleep in Raylan's tonight? He won't make it anyway. And in the next morning we'll prepare a new room for you!"

He continues to suggest.

It won't hurt letting Lydia sleep in Raylan's room if he's not going to use it, right?

Lydia thinks a little bit but then finally agrees with Luciano. She doesn't like the sofa anyway and why does she have to sleep on the sofa when there's a room she could use.

"Then can you take me to his room? I'm a little tired now!"

Luciano nobs at Lydia's request, showing her the way to the second floor.

"This is his room. The opposite of it is mine! You can have his room for tonight!"

Luciano points to the two rooms at the end of the hall as he introduces the room to Lydia. She nobs back and gives him a smile.

"Then I'll be off. Goodnight Luca!"

She waves before entering the room.

"Yeah… Goodnight!"

After that, Luciano can hear and see the door in front of him closing. He shrugs and then quickly disappears into his room too.

On the other side, Lydia turns the light in Raylan's room on. A viridian light soon covers the whole room. A tidy room appears in front of Lydia's eyes. A big room but not much furniture inside, only necessary. And all is mostly decor in black and white.

She comes closer to the table. A needy one. Everything on the table is sorted in a tidy way.

"This is so Raylan!"

Lydia giggles as she comments. Raylan has always been a neat guy. Not to mention he's also living the simple life even though his family is quite wealthy.

A smile still stays on Lydia's lips as she opens her suitcase, takes out her towel and pijama then heads straight to the bathroom.

The sound of dripping water echoes the small bathroom and Lydia's still enjoying her shower.

It's been a long day. Now that she's alone, she finally can relax. After a full body massage, she steps out happily and falls down to Raylan's king size bed. She quickly turns off the light.

An aroma like coffee gently coming across her nose makes her lose herself. She gives in and relaxes in his soft, comfortable bed.

Raylan smells like coffee. Light coffee. Only when staying close enough to him, ones can smell his aroma. And now, Lydia is in his bed. Of course she can smell him.

Lydia has some sleeping problems. Even if she's tired, she normally can't be put to sleep easily. But staying in such a cozy bed with his aroma puts her whole body at the stage of ease. And she easily falls asleep.

Just like that, Lydia sleeps soundly in Raylan's bed.

Strangely, she can sleep very peacefully.

Until midnight, a shadow comes into the room without turning any light on. It strangely walks in a groggy way like a drunk. When it reaches the bed, it falls right down.

Lily aroma soon covers around it. That's not an aroma that shadow used to. But somehow, that aroma is not annoying at all. On the other hand, that lily smell makes it relaxes so consciously, the shadow snuggles up to that lily.

Lydia feels cold. She has been feeling it for an hour or more. Maybe it's the change of weather when moving to another city that she is still not used to. But the bed is too comfortable to the point that she feels like it is gripping her, and won't let her wake up and turn on the air conditioner.

That's also when she feels something warm next to her, snuggling her up. The heat is too comfortable, Lydia can't help but also hold tight to it.

The coffee smell rises again. Stronger than ever. Lydia firmly puts her hand around her warming thing and then she also feels something warping up around her body. That is not too bad.
