When Marlie ventured out of the house in the afternoon, Chad was obliged to engage with his laptop and avoid any plans of going out to encounter the bothersome faces of the witches. His nanny would handle his meals.

And naturally, once Marlie departed, she headed straight to Mark's place.

At the arrival of Marlie at the door, the first person she laid eyes upon was Spark.

Spark, from head to toe, casted upon her a glance of disdain.

"Wait a minute, weren't you the one who urged her to go?" that was the query Mark had been directing towards Spark when he stationed himself by the door, seething with anger.

"Why are you arriving now?" Spark's initial afternoon greeting, brimming with annoyance, to Marlie. "You may as well remain there!"

"What are you doing? Are you not going to let her enter first?" Mark inquired, perplexed.

"Stop defending her!" Spark bellowed.

"I am not defending! Weren't you the one who made her go there?" Mark retorted.
