The plan continued, and I found myself eager to stand by my decision. I focused on other things, deliberately ignoring Isobel's existence. It was challenging, but I had managed to do it for days now. The only one who wasn't impressed with my choices and actions was Koa, my spirit wolf.

“Until when should you keep doing this?” Koa questioned.

“Every single day, you’ve been saying the same thing, Koa. Be sensible. We can’t be selfish. Let her go. Don’t fight a losing battle. Isobel already chose someone over me,” I responded.

Koa scoffed. “That’s it, Ryle? Like I kept on saying, Isobel is not just a random wolf. She’s your mate!”

“Isobel is my fated mate, but that doesn’t mean she’s mine.”

Koa went speechless with my words, sighing inside my head. Obviously, Koa wasn't happy with my decision. The way I was treating Isobel annoyed Koa immensely. Countless times we bumped into each other, but I always chose not to look into Isobel’s eyes. Sometimes, I even avoided going the same way
