Chapter 7

“Huh?”

Quinn and Elaine were taken aback at first, but they later laughed out loud in unison.

“I didn’t hear that wrong, did I, Collins? You’re saying that you live here?

Elaine laughed in great exaggeration. “Do you know how much a villa is worth here? It can easily go up to 30 or 40 million. A bumpkin like you can work hard your entire life and you won’t even be able to afford a bathroom here.”

“Oh, I can’t take it anymore. You’re making me laugh too hard.”

Her hands were clasping on her tummy, and she could not stop laughing.

Quinn had an angry smile on her face. “Tell me, which is your house?”

“It’s at the peak. I think it’s called Imperial Dragon Bay Villa No. 1 or something,” Chase replied casually.

Quinn laughed sardonically.

If he had mentioned another random villa, she might have believed him.

However, Imperial Dragon Bay Villa No.1 was the address of the Medical Saint of Hell’s Gate. Why would this country bumpkin be staying there?

She looked at Chase sympathetically. “Chase Collins, do you have any idea what a clown you are right now to me? You’re making me dislike you even more.”

“It’s up to you whether to believe me or not.” Chase shrugged and turned to walk away. He was not bothered to argue with them.

“You should leave before security discovers you. The consequences would be dire if you get caught.”

Quinn got Elaine to continue driving up the hill after saying this to Chase.

When they arrived at the villa on the peak, Quinn gently pressed on the doorbell. “Mr. Medical Saint of Hell’s Gate, I’m Miss Norris from the Norrises of South River City. I’m here to ask for your help to save my grandfather…”

She spoke for a long time, but there was no reaction from inside the villa.

“Miss Norris, I think he must have gone out. Why don’t we come back another day?” Elaine could not help saying.

“That’s all we can do for now,” Quinn sighed. They got into the Bentley and drove back the way they came.

Quinn stared at the road on their way back but did not see any sign of Chase.

She grunted coldly. “Looks like he really did sneak in. He must have left quietly because he was worried he would be caught by the security guards.

“We have to see the Medical Saint of Hell’s Gate as soon as possible and get him to cure Grandpa. That way, I can be rid of Chase Collins.”

Meanwhile, Chase had arrived at the peak by hiking up through the forest path.

He looked at the luxurious villa in front of him and nodded with satisfaction. “At least that old man is nice enough to give me such an extravagant mansion.”

That was when Henry called him on the phone. “Chase, remember to go to the hospital to conduct a medical check-up. You need it for the interview at Riley’s company tomorrow.”

“Got it.” Chase hung up, and after that, he headed to the hospital for a medical check-up.

As the medical report required at least one hour to be prepared, Chase decided to walk around the hospital as he was bored.

When he passed by a hospital room, he heard heartbreaking sobs coming from inside.

An old man was lying unconscious on his hospital bed. He looked like he was hardly breathing.

His bed was surrounded by men and women who were dressed well. All of them were looking at the old man sadly.

“Doctor Strickland, is there really no hope for my grandfather?”

A young woman of about 20 asked. Her eyes were red. “Even if it’s three hours more of seeing him alive, we’d be happy enough.”

The old man lying in bed was the rock of the Coopers. A huge calamity would befall the Coopers if anything happened to him. If he had three hours more to live, he would be able to settle many issues.

Dr. Strickland, who was an elderly man in a suit, sighed. “It’s already too late. Some things can’t be changed.”

“The elderly Mr. Cooper served the country in the war when he was younger and was left with many injuries from the bloody fights. His old wounds worked up, causing his organs to fail. His time is up. I can’t help him anymore. Even the legendary Medical Saint of Hell’s Gate won’t be able to save him.”

Everyone began wiping their tears off their faces when they heard this.

A snort of laughter was suddenly heard at the door. “Just because you can’t do anything doesn’t mean that others can’t. What right do you have to judge the abilities of the Medical Saint of Hell’s Gate?”
