"How are you, Miss. Aggarwal?" His focus was now on Saanvi.
"I am good, Sir. You?" She replied politely trying hard to not let the bitterness she just felt reach her tongue.
"Good" he said gesturing with his hand for her to go inside. They both started walking towards the hotel whereas Nitin busied himself on a call.
"I want you to decorate those flowers inside the hall as well" Saanvi got a bit confused at his words.
He could have said it on the phone.
And flowers inside the hall? In a product launch event?
His eyes were transfixed on the flowers that were kept inside the basket at the table. Saanvi was going to start the work by today itself and eventually he too came here.
"Sure sir" though she found this idea quite tempting and new.
Let's try this.
He nodded at her and leaned on the wall looking at his phone.
Saanvi tied her hair in a bun and soon the staff members joined her.
"Leave it. These are flowers not stones" she scolded a young boy who was decorating the flowers on the wall.
Her voice caught Arjun's attention and his gaze went towards her.
Few strands of her hair were falling over her face while her skin was glowing as she was sweating a bit. Even in air conditioner room, obviously she was working.
He was again suprised by her act. She herself started decorating the flowers even when she is the one who will order the others.
Looking at the boy, he understood the situation and was quite impressed by her again.
Her bangles were making sweet sounds somewhat calming him down.
He was quite tensed as an important deal got cancelled, that's why he kept standing there not wanting to go to his office as he knew he will surely fire more than half of the employees in his rage.
The intoxicated scent of orchids kept him standing there and now seeing the girl doing the work, brought a small smile on his face.
"Aaliya call the caterers and please get confirmation" she shouted still arranging the flowers.
Saanvi didn't notice Arjun's presence till now. A throat clearing sound made her turn around and she was suprised to see him still there.
"The staff members are on lunch break" he stated embarassing Saanvi as she took in her surrounding and only two of them were standing in the hall.
"Oh...I..I was just" she smiled nervously and diverted her eyes from his as his gaze was making her uncomfortable.
"Have lunch with me?" She immediately looked at him and shook her head.
"No no, Mr. Khanna. I actually have brought my lunch" she denied politely, "Would you like to have it with me, please?" before she could stop the words left her mouth.
She thinks these are the basic courtesies a person should know. He offered her to have lunch with him and so did she.
However, she was sure he would deny it because obviously why would a billionaire want to eat food made by a simple middle class woman.
"Okay" his answer shocked her but she was quick enough to regain her composure and mind. She smiled and gestured him to sit on the chair.
She took out the tiffin box from her purse and started unboxing them. The spicy smell filled her nostrills and her stomach grumbled loudly making her more embarassed than she already was.
Three paranthas (flat breads) along with panner (tofu) and some rice were in the boxes.
"Please" she gestured him with her hand to start eating as she forwarded the box towards him.
He took a bite and his lips curved up into a small smile. It was delicious. The taste reminded him of the old lady cook who used to cook in the orphanage.
The only good thing he got in that orphanage was the food. Even after tasting thousands of items made by top class chefs, he never got the same familiar taste.
"It's amazing" he mumbled taking another bite.
Saanvi smiled and thanked him. She was watching him every now and then. He was genuinely enjoying the food, more than her.
It looked like he has not eaten since ages. Nevertheless she was happy that she could brought a smile on his usual cold face...

The hot burning liquid cascaded down her throat making her close her eyes in bliss. A cup of tea always makes her day.
The wind was blowing smoothly caressing her face. A small smile was playing on her lips as she took another sip of the brewing ginger tea.
Finally today was the day she has been waiting since forever. The day of the product launch event. The preparations were done, everything was set.
A mixture of so many emotions were creating a havoc inside her. Nervousness, excitement, fear and finally happiness.
Though the weather was making her a bit tensed. It was gloomy and windy. Possibilities of rain were quite high but still she was hoping for the best.
"I have ironed your clothes" Namisha said taking a seat on the chair beside her. Saanvi gave her a smile and forwarded a cup towards her.
They were sitting in the garden while sipping their favouraite tea. She had no work today so she was relaxing at home. She only has to go to the event and make sure the preparations are well, just for confirmation.
Also, she decided to stay througout the event, if something happens then she would be there to solve it. She just doesn't want to take any chance.
"You should take a nap, Saanvi" Namisha suggested looking at her tired self. Saanvi was too excited to close her eyes even for a second so sleep was far from her eyes.
Still she gave a thought to what her mother suggested. She indeed was feeling tired and a nap will make her feel more fresh and active in the evening..
"Yeah" she mumbled keeping the empty cup on the small table. A yawn left her mouth making Namisha chuckle as she slightly hit Saanvi's head making her smile.
Saanvi laid back on the soft matress and smiled glancing at the clock. It was 2:00 pm and the event will start by 7:30 pm.
Soon her eyes got closed and sleep engulfed her completely.
.
.
The earring fell from her shaky hands and she huffed loudly. The anxiety was killing her. It was almost 6:30 and she was not ready yet.
She took the earring again and put it in her earlobe..finally.
Tying her long hair in a simple ponytail, she gave a last look to herself in the mirror. Clad in a simple floral dress, she was looking beautiful.
"Don't forget to carry the umbrella" Namisha spoke entering the room. Saanvi nodded and called the cab.
"Maa please eat the dinner. I might get late" Saanvi requested making Namisha sigh sadly.
"You know right? I can't eat without you" Saanvi smiled at her mother and shook her head.
"But you need to take medicines as well, just this time, Maa" she pleaded trying to make her understand, "Though I will try to come before ten but chances are not very positive about that" Saanvi finished thinking about the event which is going to take a lot of her time.
"Fine" Namisha agreed finally and continued her work as she was arranging pile of clothes inside the wardrobe.
The cold wind welcomed her as soon she stepped outside her house. She looked up at the sky with pleading eyes and mumbled.
Please god pleaseee. Just tonight.
No rain pleaseeeee.
Though it wasn't raining at the moment but the weather wasn't good either. It was clear that it would rain soon and rain will come along with storm which can harm the event.
The cab stopped in front of her and she entered inside after waving at her mother who was standing at the door.
Namisha entered inside the house closing the door. A sigh left her mouth as her eyes fell on the thing which was kept on the sofa. She shook her head annoyed at her daughter.
"She again forgot her umbrella"...
Saanvi's eyes were twinkling as she looked at the building before her. The building was shinning like stars. From top to bottom.
After paying the cab driver, she hurriedly went inside. The hall was indeed looking beautiful. The decorations were eye catching and unique as well.
Arjun's idea of decorating the hall with flowers did work. She thanked him in her mind looking at the walls which were covered with fresh exotic flowers.
"The food is almost ready, Mam" her junior, Aaliya informed her to which Saanvi nodded.
She still wanted to get sure about the catering services. So, she went towards the food section.
The snacks were placed on the table, every kind of snacks from indian to western. Because the guests were from both sides so she kept this menu by keeping this kind in her mind.
The beverages section was also looking good. Also, the main course of food was yet to be prepared but it didn't bother her as they had time.
A relieved sigh left her throat as she looked at the whole hall with a glint of pride in her eyes.
Her eyes were continuously wandering around the main gate. She was searching for him, he could be there at any moment. She just wanted to get the last thing which will maker her more happy and satisfied.
His approval.
Her heart skipped a beat when a tall figure clad in expensive armani suit, entered inside the hall.
His aura was screaming danger. The hustle bustle fell down instantly. Only sounds of camera flashing could be heard at the moment.
She was a bit suprised seeing the hard look of his face. His face held zero emotions, a look she never witnessed on his face before.
For the first time, she felt a bit scared after seeing his facial expression.
Amidst the crowd, his gaze stopped at her and he gave a curt nod at her direction. Saanvi smiled lightly and told her junior to see every arrangement last time as the event was just about to start.

What do you think about this chapter?
The loud clapping sounds resonated in the hall. Arjun was sitting on the stage with few other business associates. People were looking at him with admiring eyes, however, some of them were looking at him with envy. He has achieved so much in this young age and they are not even close to his success.Indeed, he has climbed a long ladder of difficulties which gave him all the success he has today.Saanvi was happy as well, the event was going well by now. The guests seemed impressed with Arjun's product and the way he portrayed his product in front of them was quite impressive and convincing. The guests started having their meal as it was 9:30 already. They enjoyed the snacks and beverages as well. Her stomach was grumbling loudly, though she didn't eat anything but had two glasses of soft drink which didn't do much help. The guests started bidding their adieu to Arjun after half an hour. She checked the time and it was almost ten. She was talking to the caterer when she felt a presenc
A big grin was plastered on Saanvi's face as she entered inside her house. Namisha giggled seeing the happiness on her daughter's face. A sense of relief, she felt after witnessing her smiling face."So the event went well?"she questioned or more like stated while giving a glass of chilled water to her daughter."Ahhhh" Saanvi sighed as the cool liquid cascaded down her throat which was parched, "It went perfectly well, Maa. Mr. Khanna was really happy and he appreciated my work as well" Saanvi said making Namisha smile."See, I told you already" Saanvi nodded freeing her hair to let them fall on her back and shoulder."Mr. Khanna dropped me himself" Saanvi stated and Namisha's face fell a bit, "he didn't want us to travel alone at this time. So, Aaliya went with Nitin and I came with Mr. Khanna" she explained further."Oh..." Namisha went silent suddenly making her daughter confused."What happened? Maa?" She shook her mother's shoulder to gain her attention as she was staring at the
His heart was thumping wildly inside his chest. The anticipation was killing him. The wait was killing him.The time seemed to pass slowly, more than necessary. Or maybe, he wanted it to pass quickly, more than necessary. The black glass table was occupied with coffee mugs rather than his files. She wasn't late but his heart was dying to have a look at her.Arjun's heart skipped a beat when he heard a soft knock on the door. Quickly straightening his posture, he said a quick come in.A gush of fresh air entered as she stepped inside his cabin. The fresh air was brought by Saanvi only.He gulped as he took her in. The red sleevless top didn't fail to show her smooth arms. The red tint on her lips woke something inside him.He started feeling...aroused."Hello, Mr. Khanna" her sweet voice forced him to come out of his world as he cleared his throat and put a smile on his face. Her big eyes again stopped him to say anything as he found himself drowning in them. Anyhow, he controlled his
The windchime made a sweet soothing sound making a smile appear on Saanvi's face as she stepped out of the washroom. Throwing the towel on the bed, she walked towards the window. The grey clouds welcomed her as she took in the outside view. The clouds were dancing in the sky, the breeze was a bit stormy yet calming. The windchime shook again, this time making a loud sweet sound. Saanvi's smile brightened as she touched the wooden chimes. It was a new day and a bright one indeed.Inauguration of Khanna Event Management Firm. She was beyond happy. She was feeling a bit uneasy in her tummy, which isn't new at all. She always feels this way whenever she is anxious or over excited. The mixture of anxiety and excitement doesn't set well with her.Looking at the clock, she palmed her face and started taking out her clothes from the wardrobe. She wasn't late but wanted to be there on time.Changing into a cream shirt with high waisted jeans, she looked up at herself in the mirror. She tied h
"Enjoying yourself?" He asked tugging his hands inside the pocket. His muscles flexed in the process."Yes, Sir. This firm is...it's really exquisite" Saanvi replied, she wanted to see the whole building but no one went to upper floors yet. Not even Arjun, so how could she?"Wanna see more?" Arjun's question suprised her but the anticipation was killing her so she nodded quickly."Let's go" Arjun mumbled gesturing with his hand for her to walk firstly.Saanvi fidgeted with her fingers as the situation got a bit awkward. They both were inside the lift and the silence was making things awkward. The soft music was playing inside the lift calming the atmosphere a bit. Arjun glanced at her and a smirk appeared on his lips. She was looking nervous like a kitten. Her fingers were entangled and she was continuously biting her lips, tempting him to do the honour. He tapped his foot impatiently and clenched his fist to control the emotions. He could feel the growing bulge inside his pant. How b
Saanvi wiped her palms on her jeans as the familiar feeling of anxiety engulfed her. It was the first day of her work and she couldn't be more happier about this. But obviously the anticipation was killing her. Taking a deep breath she came outside the cab. Her scooty got some damages again so she couldn't ride it today. The well made building came in her view as she took shaky steps towards the entrance. The watchman greeted her and didn't ask to show the i.d. as the one did in Arjun's office before. A sense of pride engulfed her and the confidence came back suddenly, throwing all the insecurities out of the window.Straightening her shoulder, she started taking steady steps filled with confidence. The heels were making clicking sounds whenever they were coming in contact with the white tiled floor. She recieved few greetings and smiles on her way to the cabin which increased her confidence.A long sigh escaped her lips as soon she entered inside her cabin. The walls were beautifully
A gush of cold breeze hit her as she shivered folding her hands across her chest. Armaan noticed it but he didn't have a blazer to give her which made him curse himself. They both were walking on the empty road. The weather was pleasant and windy. "I am leaving next week" Armaan broke the silence making Saanvi stop. She looked at him with questioning eyes. Her eyes indeed showed sadness. Sadness of not being able to see her best friend for god knows how long."Oh...so suddenly?" She asked putting a light smile on her face."Yeah. Some urgent work" he stated and they both continued walking as again the silence fell between them.Armaan gazed at Saanvi and at that moment, he wanted nothing more than to just take her in his embrace tightly. His heart was racing wildly while his lips were quivering to utter the words he has kept inside his heart for so long. He wanted to let them out and tell her how exactly he feels about her.But he couldn't gain the courage to do so. The fear of losin
"Send me the venue pics" Saanvi ordered Ritu, her junior and continued typing on her laptop.Their firm has got it's first event and it is an engagement party. Saanvi wants to make it unique and the most memorable one for the guests. She decided to personally arrange every single thing for the party as she found the couple's love story quite unique and inspiring. The groom is a Maharashtrian while the bride is a Bengali. She found this combination deadly yet cute. They both came to the firm to discuss about the event and while sharing their ideas with Saanvi, they narrated their love story as well. They both are from rich households. Their parents hold a reputation in this city and so do they. So, the ceremony will have to be memorable."What about the caterers, Mam?" Ritu asked chewing the cap of her pen."I will send you few numbers. Just check on them if any of them are available next Sunday or not" Saanvi said and dismissed her junior. She was feeling a bit off today. Armaan was g
