The pain isn't getting on her nerves but the hatred towards the other woman who stole her long-time crush. She has been doing everything to keep him by her side but now that woman is here to steal himself away.

Shayne's hands form a fist, digging her nails into her palms, She is extremely disappointed, mad, and upset. Her eyes are glossy but her lips are being crushed by her teeth in anger.

I need to do something to get rid of this girl. She doesn't deserve my Eddie ' She walks towards Mrs Rodriguez who is helping Charlotte to walk downstairs, Her bottom part of the dress is no joke to carry. There have lots of gemstones on the hemline which makes the dress more heavier.

Shayne grits enviously, She witnessed Edward spending a long time designing. Her eyes are on fire, Jealous.

" Auntie! I missed you! Where were you been?"

She hugs Mrs. Rodriguez, and whines cutely. Mrs Rodriguez chuckles Patting her head.

" Didn't I tell you I will give you a surprise? Look who is with me. Meet Charlotte! Edward's Wife!"

Shayne looks at her, Giving a death glare at her. But Soon, She plants a sweet smile on her face and holds her hand.

" You are really beautiful. Charlotte. I am Shayne! Edward's doctor and best friend. It's a pleasure to meet you. "

Charlotte frowns thinking she felt Shayne's unfriendly gaze at her a little earlier. But She might be overthought, so she shrugs it off.

" It's a pleasure to meet you. I am glad to meet you as well. Thank you for taking care of my husband" She politely replies smiling at Edward who is playing with Suzy.

" Please don't say that! Edward is more important than anything to me. It's great that he found someone beautiful like you. But I wish you wouldn't hurt him. He doesn't need pity. Also If you are after his money and power. I warn you to stay away from him"

She says in a calm but stern voice. Charlotte feels something is wrong with her and her behavior. She was good and sweet, now acting like a superior. But She remains silent. She doesn't want to bark at someone who doesn't have the right to meddle with their personal life. Since She claims to be Edward's best friend and doctor. Charlotte will respect her.

" What are you saying? Shayne! This is disrespectful. You shouldn't talk like this to someone!" Mrs. Rodriguez defends. Two creases appear on her forehead as she was disappointed with Shayne's comments on her new daughter-in-law.

" Auntie! Don't get me wrong. I only wish Edward to be happy. We don't know who wants to use him to get power. What if -"

" So You mean you doubt my Mom's choice!"

Edward speaks being unable to endure his doctor's nonsense. He hates when someone forgets their position. " Charlotte is my Mom's number one choice. She knows who is perfect to be her daughter-in-law."

She nodded but stared at Charlotte who is leaving with Edward. She grits her teeth. Seems like She needs to do what she did two years ago.

Charlotte takes the wheelchair next to the bed. She is in trouble with her dress since it's really heavy to carry on around. She puts the bouquet on a small glass table next to the closet and looks around.

The room is spacious and cozy. The gray and black colored wall, the authentic and famous paintings of famous artists, and an analog clock are on the wall hanging proudly. The drapes in black with beautiful designs are on two sides of the transparent glass sliding door that leads the outside of the house and is attached to the garden.

" Did you like my room?" Edward slowly wheels his chair towards her who is scanning the room with an amused expression. She nods while opening the sliding door.

" It's beautiful. " She smells the fresh scent of flowers which are hitting her nose because of the soft breeze. " Did you design it? It suits you best! comfortable but luxurious" Getting on her knees, she smells the scent of Rose.

" So You mean you are comfortable around me!" Edward smirks, plucking a gardenia and placing it on her hair.

Charlotte wasn't expecting something like that. She blushes but she knows she is comfortable around him. She feels safe and better, However, she doesn't know if it can indicate that she is having a crush on him. She doesn't know how she should fix her mental situation but she is not ready to love now.

" Well... !!"

Edward smiles seeing her honest and hesitant face. If she said that she is happy and comfortable around him. It would have been hard for him to believe her. She needs time to accept someone like him.

" Shouldn't you change your dress? Mom has put a set of clothes in the closet. The Closet in gray is for you. Use it. After that, We should talk about something important since we are now lifetime partners.. "

Charlotte nods in response since she also needs to be honest with her lifetime partner to keep harmony with each other.

After her leaving for changing room, Edward looks at the Moon, which is illuminating his face with silver light. He heaves a sigh heavily. Being afraid of an unpredictable future. " Won't you change? Mr Rodriguez!" Wiping her face, She enters the room. Edward turns, seeing her face without makeup, and the casual look, makes his heart beat faster.

" Where are your pajamas? Let me help you."

Edward's eyes widely open when she opens his closet, Even though he has a different room for his clothes but his closet is for his undergarments and other accessories like cufflinks, ties perfumes, and wristwatches.

Charlotte flushes while slamming the door loudly. She is looking so much embarrassed that she has no courage to look at Edward.

" I am sorry. I should have asked you first!"

Covering her face, she speaks. Edward purses his lips and wheels his chair inside another room.

"This is my changing room. I have everything here. Since I moved into my private Villa, the old ones are still here. Please come here and help me to take them out!"

Charlotte exhales sharply, seeing Edward trying to make her feel at ease with the situation. He doesn't want her to feel embarrassed as well.

" How can I help you with washing? And changing clothes? Or someone else will help you too?" She puts the pajamas out and keeps them on her slender hand.

" Usually Jay helps me but he has taken a leave. So. No one will help me today!"

He sounds like he wants Charlotte to help him with this. She Blushes but nibbles her lips nervously.

Charlotte can't win against this cute human being who is trapped inside a grown-up man's body. She inhales and wheels his chair towards the washroom.

" I am disappointed!" Edward tilts his head back watching her being shy.

" Don't be disappointed! Mr Edward. Give me a little time to adjust myself!" She scratches her neck blushing. She finds the man is way too much adorable. His voice is so good that she doesn't hate his cutesy pleading face.

" OK. Also, We need to clean something first before we will welcome our new life "

Edward speaks. Charlotte feels like he is deliberately trying to talk out of everything as soon as possible. But She knows she can't be more than a friend with him now and she is going to make it clear.
