1. MAFIA, THE GIRL AND THAT GUY

12:00 am, midnight

"Do you really think you can get away after betraying me?" A voice roared in the huge, dark room. The room had a few men standing, encircling a man who was on his knees, trembling with fear and looking at the man standing in front of him.

Right in front of the man, he was standing in a black tuxedo.

Lucian Frederick, one of the biggest Mafias in Australia. A sharp and handsome face, dark black eyes, an evil smirk on his lips, and a chiselled body covered with his tux. Although he looked extremely handsome, his eyes had that look that can make anyone fear for their life.

"Tell me, Niall, do you really think you could get away from me?" Lucian asked the man again, but this time his voice was softer.

"I... I am sorry, boss," Niall's voice trembled with fear.

"Oh! I hate sorry, at first fuck it up and then betray me and then when you get caught you ask for forgiveness? What is this? A church where you can get rid of all your sins?" Lucian shouted again.

"Please, please forgive me, boss, I promise you that I won't repeat that again. I won't betray you ever," Niall cried as he begged for mercy.

Lucian rolled his eyes as he saw him crying and to shut him up, he took out his gun and shot in his head without even thinking twice.

"I hate liars and double-faced ones," he groaned as he put the gun back in his pocket and walked out of the room. Few of the men followed him.

After they were gone, the other men standing in the room picked up the dead body to make sure it's dumped in the correct place.

The next morning,

As the clock hit 6:00 am, the sound of the alarm echoed in the entire room.

As she heard the alarm's voice, she took one pillow and placed it on her ears. But soon the sound of the alarm became unbearable, and at that moment, without even opening her eyes, she found the alarm and then hit the snooze button.

"Urgh, I hate mornings," she whined as she rubbed her eyes and got up from the bed. She yawned and then made an irritated face, "Eat, work, sleep, repeat. Urgh, I hate my life," she complained as she threw herself on the bed again.

After a few minutes, her blue eyes were wide open again as she stared at the ceiling. "Wake up, Nina. It's your job. It's the reason why you have food to eat and a place to sleep," she scolded herself and then got up from the bed.

She sighed in frustration, but then went to the bathroom to freshen up.

Nina Walker, a 24-year-old girl, working in an IT firm. A girl with blue eyes, soft pink lips, and flawless skin. Long brown hairs, a perfect body, and a beautiful smile, she was beautiful enough to make the boys go crazy behind her, but she didn't like that. She wanted a boy, who would genuinely care for her because of the person she is, not someone who drools over her because of her beauty. She wanted someone, who would respect her and love her till the end of the time. But her expectations from men was the thing that kept her single till the day.

After getting freshen up, she walked out of the bathroom, picked a pair of formals and dressed herself in the suit. She got ready for work and looked at the mirror.

"And now, Nina, it's time to wear a smile," she told herself and a beautiful smile appeared on her face.

"Great, now let's have my coffee and then off to work," she proudly boasted and walked towards the kitchen.

Somewhere else,

A man picked up a painting from his desk and walked towards his bed. He kept the painting on the bed and then looked in front of him where a girl was sitting.

"See, I drew you," he exclaimed happily. The girl looked at the picture and smiled. "It's beautiful," she replied as she looked at the painting. "I know," he boasted proudly.

"You draw so well. I am in love with your paintings," she spoke as she looked at him with a smile. "You do love my paintings?" He surprisingly looked at her.

"Yes, I do," she cheerfully replied, "and that's why I want you to paint just for me."

"Paint for you? I didn't get it," he confusingly looked at her.

"I don't want you to show your paintings to the world or paint anything else. I want your paintings to be mine, that whenever you paint, you will paint me and no one else. I want to have a claim on your paintings," she spoke.

Jasper looked at her with a smile on his face. "Okay, I will paint just for you," he replied with a smile.

Both were talking and that's when the door creaked open and a man entered with a tray of food. "Jasper, your breakfast," he spoke as he kept the tray in front of Jasper.

"Thank you, Mohit," Jasper happily replied. As Mohit kept the food tray on the bed, his eyes fell on the painting.

"You drew her again?" He asked.

"Yes," Jasper replied as he looked at the painting.

"The painting is beautiful," Mohit exclaimed. "Thank you," Jasper replied. "Now have your breakfast, and let me clean your room," he spoke as he got up to clean the room.

"See, Mohit appreciated my painting as well," Jasper boasted as he looked at her. "I am proud of you," she replied.

As Mohit heard Jasper's voice, he looked at Jasper only to find him talking to himself. He nodded his head and focused on his work. The room just had Jasper and Mohit, there was no other girl, Jasper was hallucinating.

"Jasper, you haven't been out for two weeks, your mother asked you to go out," Mohit spoke as he continued to dust the furniture.

"Okay," Jasper replied as he turned towards the girl.

"Baby, no. Don't leave me alone and go out," the girl complained.

"I am sorry baby, but I will have to go. I can't go against mom's wish," he sighed.

Jasper Frederick, a 23-year-old boy suffering from schizophrenia. Brown eyes, sharp features, lean body, charming and attractive look, yet an average looking guy. Due to schizophrenia, he stays most of the time at home and hallucinates his dead girlfriend all the time.

On the same day,

At afternoon

Nina walked out of the office building in a rush. She looked frustrated. "Huff, this workload. I feel like I will die working. This is so hard," she cursed her work.

"I need some fresh air before I can continue," she told herself and walked towards the nearby park.

As she reached the part, very few people were there. "Perks of being in a big city, no one has enough time to spend some time in a park," she rolled her eyes as she walked to find a place to sit.

As she was searching for a place, her eyes fell on a guy who was struggling. He looked uneasy and troubled and this attracted Nina towards him. She immediately walked towards the guy who was none other than Jasper.

Jasper was sitting on a bench. He was hearing many weird voices in his head and that was troubling him. He was trying his best to shut the voices down but was unable to do that. His struggles seemed to go in vain.

As he was struggling, someone tapped his shoulders. "Hey, are you okay?" He heard a girl's voice and then all of a sudden the voices in his head disappeared. He immediately turned towards the girl.

"Hey, yeah, I am fine," he replied. "Oh, okay. I actually saw you struggling so I thought that you might need help, so I..." She spoke as she looked at him.

"Yeah, I needed help and you helped me, thanks," he replied.

As Jasper said that, she surprisingly looked at him. She couldn't figure out what to say except look at him.

"By the way, I am Jasper," he introduced himself.

"Nina," she replied with a smile.

Jasper smiled and Nina sat beside him. "Why we're you troubled?" She asked him confusingly.

"I don't know, I was hearing these weird voices in my head, I didn't know from where it came from and why was it happening, but this was troubling me. But when you tapped at my shoulders, the voices vanished. So you helped me a lot," Jasper answered her with a smile.

Nina looked at Jasper and she felt intimated by his smile. It felt like she just wanted to keep staring at him smiling.

"Well, I am glad that I could help you," she replied with a smile.

Jasper looked at her and seeing her smile made her smile as well.

Both of them felt good and thus they started having a conversation.

As they were conversing, someone from a distance was keeping an eye on them. The person looked at Nina being comfortable with Jasper and then smiled as the person had something in his head.

At evening,

After finishing all her work, Nina finally wrapped up her desk. "Finally, back to home," she sighed. She picked up her bag and then walked out of the office.

She walked out of the office building and looked at the traffic on the road. "Traffic," she rolled her eyes, "I am going to walk to the metro station," she told herself and walked in the same direction.

On the other hand, Lucian was sitting in his car stuck in traffic, getting frustrated at the long line of cars.

"Oh, I am feeling like killing all these people," he scoffed.

"Boss calm down, we can't do anything," the driver replied.

"Fine, whatever," he rolled his eyes and started to look outside the window.

As he looked outside, his eyes fell on a beautiful girl who was walking on the sidewalk. He was immediately attracted by her beauty and felt himself getting lost in her. He was attracted by her perfect figure and she felt like the most beautiful and sexy girl to him.

"I want that girl," he told himself as he pulled down the glass window to have a full glimpse of her. The girl was none other than Nina.
