ISABELLA
I could feel a little dizzy already on my way in, as I held on to Arianna who had her whole body moving from left to right of the club.
I searched around for Aurora wondering where exactly she had wandered of to as I was meant to watch her all night.
I tapped on Arianna who yelled to the sound of the music as we entered.
“Seen Aurora?” I yelled into her ears as I had my eyes around the club still in search of her.
“Over there!!” she yelled pointing to the bar.
I had been a bit surprised seeing her over at the bar, as I had expected her to dance into the crowd like the spoilt little brat she was.
“Come on!” I said pulling Arianna alongside as we were headed to the bar.
“One shot of Vodka and soda please!” I said waving to the bar man.
“Two shots of Mojito!!” Arianna yelled as she settled into the chair right in front of Aurora, who seemed a little upset with us being around her.
“What are you having young lady?” I asked touching her by the shoulders.
“Negroni Sir!” she called out to the waiter beside her as she took in the shot, ignoring like I wasn't even there.
And then, I bent towards her ear as I whispered a few words to her.
“Remember, no phones tonight!” I said smiling.
“And try to be on your best behavior this time” I added moving over to the chair beside Arianna who gulped down on her shots as she had her eyes closed.
I held on to my glass as I gulped down on my shot, feeling the mild bittersweet taste as it is ran down my throat.
I had my eyes up glancing around the club, as I found eyes watching me.
I turned to the side facing the bar the minute I found it odd of them starting plainly at me.
And of course everybody knew me to be the first, legitimate daughter and heiress of my father Leonardo Dante.
The major reason I find us being quite out of the book, as a lot would want to take pictures of us being and would probably want to have us blackmailed.
I had my face turned sideways and away from the men, sitting right opposite us as they had their eyes locked in our direction.
I was used to the fact that a lot would stare from a distance and even make faces towards me, but never have the courage to walk-up to me.
And apparently, I hated how it made me feel most times.
“Come on order more shots girl!!!” Arianna yelled as she flipped her hair to the side smiling at the bar man.
“Flirt!!” I cursed under my breath.
“More of what we just had please!” I called out to the bar man.
He gave a nod as he had two glass raised pouring into them more mixtures.
The moment I realized they had taken off their eyes, I had my focus back on the lady who stripped around the pole in front of us.
I loved how sexy and bold she looked twirling herself around the pole.
I gulped down on my second shot feeling a bit dizzy, but still in place.
The minute I had my focus off the lady, I met eyes with another gentleman who couldn't take his eyes off me.
I looked away the minute I felt his eyes already taking off my clothes.
He may not have had that in mind, but that was exactly how it felt in my head.
I could tell from the way I looked away, taking my eyes off him completely he must have felt embarrassed.
But that's what a Dante that I am, is meant to do.
Isn't it?…
The minute I turned to face my glass on the table, I felt all tipsy as the walls around the club felt like they were moving in rhythm with the music which echoed in the air.
“Do you feel tipsy yet?” Arianna asked laughing out loud as I suddenly felt the urge to have more shots taken.
“More shots please!!” I called out to the waiter.
“Yes!!”
“That's the spirit!!” Arianna yelled as she had her hands up in the air.
“More shots waiter!!” I called out to the waiter.
“Ten shots of tequila should do the trick of getting completely wasted” Aurora said giggling as she joined.
“And what are you giggling about?” I asked feeling disgusted over the way she giggled staring at me.
“Just admit it, you are the worst Stepsister ever!!” she yelled at me.
“I can't hear you over this loud music Sorella!!” I responded, knowing fully well that I heard every word she said.
“You are boring!” she yelled back making silly faces.
Hearing what she had just said, I felt dared.
“You think I'm boring?!!”
“Fine!!” I said.
“Ten shots please!!” I yelled to the bar man as I stood up to my feet.
“Coming right up!!” he responded as he had ten mini shot glasses arranged in the Generic Tequila shots rack.
“One drive downtown to getting wasted!!”
“Woo hoo!!” Arianna yelled as she had her hands up in the air.
I smiled knowing exactly what I was signing up for, but then again I wasn't going to have this kind of opportunity months afterwards, as heiress to the Dante's was going to be all about the family's legacy.
“Here Miss Dante” the bar man said smiling to me as he had the rack placed right in front of me.
“Ready?!!” Aurora yelled standing right beside me.
Holding on to the first shot, I wasn't sure I was meant to do this but just for the fun anyway.
I gulped down on the first glass, as I had the second taken as well followed by the others.
I paused to belch on the fifth shot, as I could feel my head banging already.
“Go on!!”
“You are close!!” Aurora yelled like she was enjoying all of it more than I was.
I had my eyes closed feeling disgusted over the sixth glass, as it felt completely sour and bitter down my throat.
“I'm done girls!!” I yelled waving my hands to cut them off from wanting to hype me to take in the rest.
“You were so close!!” Aurora said as she gulped down on the remaining.
I held on to the table, feeling so dizzy afterward as my speech was gradually becoming slurred.
I could feel the pupil size of my eyeballs becoming dilated as I had my head down to the table not being able to withstand the swaying of the room.
And just as I had my banging head down to the table, the Dj had the music switched to the next which apparently was my favorite.
“That's our song girl!!” Arianna yelled standing up on her feet as we both sang along joining the crowd.
“Vamos a la playa!!”
“La bomba estalló!!” we both chorused as we joined the crowd.
My head banged so hard in rhythm with the music as I swayed my hips from left to right relishing the feel of the alcohol in my head.
As I danced my way through the crowd, I realized I felt a lot lightheaded than earlier before.
“I feel so amazing!!” I yelled as Arianna and I
The whole room twirled around in my head, as it felt good with the music in the air.
I had wanted to take a break from all the yelling and dancing as it was all slowly getting into my head.
But still, I was enjoying every bit of what was happening.
And just as Arianna and I danced to the music, Aurora
Suddenly thought of it fun to join us.
“Who's the boring now?” I asked mockingly enjoying myself as the music went on and on.
I had felt a bit exhausted, yet somehow energetic to dance even more.
“You seem tired!” Aurora yelled into my ear as she danced behind me.
I smiled knowing how wasted I had slowly become in the twinkle of an eye.
My head banged so hard that I could tell I was definitely going to be left with a hangover by morning.
“Do you need more shots?” Aurora asked smiling at me.
I suddenly wondered how she looked so much in shape, dancing.
Unlike me having to feel exhausted over just little shots.
I smiled nodding for her not to, but I guess she had taken my no for a yes.
She went off to the bar, as she had come back few mins afterwards holding a shot glass.
“Here!” she said handing the glass over to me, smiling as she let go of the glass.
And of course, seeing the liquor swimming in the glass felt so tempting that I couldn't resist.
“To freedom!!” I yelled as I gulped down the last shot for the night.
Freedom!!!…
ISABELLA I held on to my head, the minute it felt even worse. Aurora swayed her hips and body to the sound of the music, which I just wasn't feeling anymore. At this point, I knew I had to take a break or I would probably crash by the wayside. “Are you good?” Aurora asked, staring at me. I didn't know how I felt exactly, but knew It was indeed feeling different from what I had felt earlier on. “Talk to me Bella,” Aurora said, holding on to my back. “I…” I stuttered as I looked for the right words in my head to express myself on how I felt. “I just need to rest” I said, holding on to my head as I felt so wasted. I wonder how It was that I was feeling this way, and I could tell something was wrong. “I don't…” I stuttered moving away from the crowd. “I don't feel good,” I said, still holding on to my head as I walked away. I scanned through the club in search of Arianna but was confused on how she had suddenly disappeared into the crowd. I had both hands holding up my head, a
ISABELLA I stared into my reflection in the mirror as I had been shocked from the result I was getting from the strip I held in the bathroom. “No!!” “This can’t be happening!” I shot at my reflection in the bathroom as I kept yelling and yelling. “I can’t accept this!” I Yelled staring at my reflection in the mirror as I tried holding back the tears welling up in my eyes. Questions on how any of this came about, kept ringing over and over in my head as I broke into tears. I staggered my way out of the bathroom as fear gripped me. “What was I to do?” I asked myself feeling so confused. I tried pulling myself together as I sat back to the ground, with my body curled around my leg. I broke into tears as I could no longer deprive myself from the tears that rolled down my cheeks. I was in a big mess, and didn’t even know how I had gotten myself here in the process. I thought about the night I had been out with the girls, as I tried to recall all that happened on that night. I
ISABELLA I could feel my palm sweaty after I heard the news of me being pregnant. I held my hand to my mouth the minute I got into my car as I tried not to yell. “How the fuck did I get pregnant?” This apparently was the only question going on and on in my head. I broke into tears the minute I felt the world crashing in on me. I suddenly wanted it all to end. I had my head to the steering as I cried out wishing the amount of tears I had released at that point would take it all away. I couldn't stand the pain of being tagged a legitimate daughter to a well known business tycoon, getting pregnant and even worse, to a stranger. I started off the engine, not knowing where exactly to go. I sped of on the road track as I had suddenly wanted to end it all. Probably of my father loosing his daughter to death by accident would cover up the shame I was about bringing to the Family plate. I held on to the steering zooming off the tracks, and just as I did my phone buzzed in the passeng
ISABELLA"What do you mean you saw your daddy?" I questioned Sofia, squirting to her size but her smile was beeming with excitement making me doubt if it was an imagination of her's."Yes I saw him and he told me he would be back, he just had to make an important call." Sofia said to me with excitement, I looked up at the CEO who was clearly angry at the little trouble Sofia was staring at and she doesn't even seem to care about any of that."Stop saying that, how can you just assume your father was her when you have never seen him before?" I questioned again, trying my best to keep my voice down so the CEO behind me won't hear."It doesn't matter mommy, it was him. I know it was him." She insisted." Can you please take her out of here already?" The CEO said." You heard what the boss just said, we need to leave." I said to her but Sofia who smiles back," That's better, that way we would get the chance to see daddy outside. If we stay here we won't be able to see him". Sofia respond
My mind was filled with worry and confusion as I paced back and forth in our small apartment. The stranger's promise to Sofia had caught me off guard, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. How could he make such a promise when he knew nothing about us? What if he never showed up again? Sofia's hopes would be shattered, and my heart would break along with hers.I couldn't ignore the nagging feeling in my gut that something wasn't right. How could Sofia be so sure that he was her father? I had always told her that her father was on a business trip, but now doubts began to creep into my mind. What if I had been lied to all these years? What if Sofia's real father was out there somewhere? As I continued to worry, Sofia came running into the room, a big smile on her face. She had a way of bringing light into even the darkest moments."Mama, did you see how much daddy loves me?" she exclaimed, her eyes shining with excitement. "He promised to see me again!"I forced a smile, not w
ENZO —I watched as Isabella took Sofia away with her, I don't know what had suddenly gotten into me I can't even let go of Sofia for a second, like she is already a part of me and it hasn't even been up to a day."Boss, Miguel is ready to see you". One of my guard said clearly surprised to see me in the building kitchen."Tell him to come and meet me here." I instructed still trying my best to get the image of Sofia out of my mind."Sir, here in the kitchen?""Do I need to repeat myself?" I asked making the guard rush out. I need to see Sofia again atleast that would be the only way I would be in my right state of mind.Few minutes after continuously thinking about the little angel that just walked into my life. When Miguel walked also a bit stunned to see my waiting in this area of the building."ENZO?" He called joining me beside the counter."Miguel." I replied, that was our unique way of greeting each other."Why do you want to meet me here, you could have to my office or better s
"So tell me princess, what and what did your daddy buy for you?" I asked Sofia the minute we stepped into our apartment but she seemed quiet and walked directly to the sofa."Why can't daddy stay with us?" She asked, staring deep into my eyes with her sparkling deep blue eyes."That wasn't the answer to the question I asked you." I said also avoiding her questions, Sofia might be just 5 years old but she was definitely wiser than I expected."And why would you want him to stay with us don't you know he has other jobs to do than stay here?" I said a few minutes after not getting any response from Sofia."Because he is my daddy and I want to have a happy family like my friend's." She said sniffing quietly,I dropped the luggages in my hands and rushed up to her cleaning the tears on her cheeks."You don't have to cry Sofia, no one is taking your father away from you." I said but she shrugged."It's a lie," she insisted."And why do you think so?" I questioned sitting beside her."Because
ISABELLA —"Why would you assume that I was being scolded by my boss?" I asked, feeling the intensity in his eyes as she stared directly into mine with a fierce look. I slowly tried to pull my hands out of his grip but he wasn't letting go and for a split second there I was totally out of breath.Suddenly, he gave out a sheepish smirk."That's better, if he did not scold you in any way then let's go out for lunch like Sofia requested." He said relaxing back on his seat making Sofia jump up in excitement. As Enzo, Sofia, and I walked out of the building, hand in hand, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. I knew that Miguel's threat still lingered, and his encounter with Enzo earlier had only heightened my worries. As we stepped outside, the afternoon sun greeted us, casting a warm glow over the busy streets. Sofia's excitement was contagious as she bounced beside us, her little hand swinging back and forth between Enzo's and mine."Where should we go for lunch, Sofia?" Enzo aske
