ISABELLA

I could feel my palm sweaty after I heard the news of me being pregnant.

I held my hand to my mouth the minute I got into my car as I tried not to yell.

“How the fuck did I get pregnant?” This apparently was the only question going on and on in my head.

I broke into tears the minute I felt the world crashing in on me.

I suddenly wanted it all to end.

I had my head to the steering as I cried out wishing the amount of tears I had released at that point would take it all away.

I couldn't stand the pain of being tagged a legitimate daughter to a well known business tycoon, getting pregnant and even worse, to a stranger.

I started off the engine, not knowing where exactly to go.

I sped of on the road track as I had suddenly wanted to end it all.

Probably of my father loosing his daughter to death by accident would cover up the shame I was about bringing to the Family plate.

I held on to the steering zooming off the tracks, and just as I did my phone buzzed in the passenger's seat beside me.

I took a deep breath as I pulled over taking the call.

I stayed silent for a couple of minutes waiting to hear her speak to me.

“Hey dear, how did the result go?” she asked.

I paused for a couple of minutes as tears rolled down my cheeks.

“Are you crying?” she asked.

My silence to her, answered a lot.

“Don't be so hard on yourself girl”

“You are going to push through with this, eventually,” she said.

“I can't stand this!” I yelled into the car as I had my beating against the steering wheel.

“Isabella!!”

“Bella!!” my aunt called out to me.

But I had been too upset to even want to hear.

“How did any of this happen?” she asked, sounding so concerned over what had happened exactly.

And apparently, I couldn't tell what had happened on the night we were out.

“Are you there?”she called out to me as I wiped my eyes off the tears that rolled down.

“I can't tell what happened exactly” I responded, staring into the road.

I didn't realize I had parked on a lonely road, which was so unlike me.

I never walk alone on lonely roads, but today felt different.

All I wanted was to cross over whatever phase I was in at the moment.

“What do you mean by you can't tell?” she asked curiously.

I paused for a couple of minutes, making sure I wasn't sounding like I had gone delusional.

“I can't remember most of what happened the night I was out with the girls Aunty” I said as I broke into tears.

“Next thing I was on the dance floor, another thing I had taken more shots than expected then my whole head blacked out from the point where Aurora handed me a shot glass” I said with tears filled in my eyes.

“Aurora?” Aunt Ricci asked, feeling surprised at what the little spoiled brat had to do with any of this.

“I can't remember anything after that, the next morning I wake up feeling so heavy up in my head and a little different down my body,” I explained as my cheeks had suddenly turned pink from all the tears.

I had my hair rolled up into a bun, as I tried to relax.

“Oh my goodness” Aunt Ricci said on her end.

“Were you…”

“Drugged?” she asked.

“This isn't good!!” she said as I could hear her packing up a few stuff at her house.

“I can't let Dante hear about this!!”

“I will be doomed,” I said, breaking into tears.

“You can't hide the bump Isabella” she said.

“Eventually, it's going to come out,” she added.

“You have to tell him,” she insisted.

“No!!”

“I can’t Aunty Ricci” I said, shaking my head in disagreement.

My father hearing about this was the last thing I wanted to happen at the moment.

“Would you want me talking to him?” She asked.

“No Aunt, I don’t want you getting involved in all of this” I said wiping my eyes.

“I will have it sorted out!” I said starting off my car engine.

“What do you intend on doing?” she asked.

“Laying low for now” I responded like I was so confident with my response.

“Take care honey!” She said hanging up.

And just in that little moment, I had accepted my fate and decide to move on as I sped off to the house.

**************************

A MONTH LATER****

I had woken up to the beeping alarm by my side and the buzzing of my phone alongside, as I wondered who wouldn’t let me be this early.

The minute I got a glimpse of who it was, I froze almost to death staring at my screen.

Dad!!…

I could feel my heart racing at a point the minute, I caught a glimpse of my screen.

“Why is he calling this early?” I asked myself.

And then I took a deep breath seconds before picking up.

“Hey Dad” I said calmly, hoping he would respond calmly and we could get to have a normalized conversation like father and daughter should.

“What’s this nonsense I’m hearing on the news?” He asked aggressively.

I paused wondering what exactly it was he had heard on the news.

“I have no idea, what you are talking about dad”

“What’s on the news?” I asked curiously wondering what he meant exactly.

“Go online!!” He ordered.

I had the phone taken off my ear as I turned on the hotspot connected to my phone.

The minute I did, a series of messages kept crawling into my phone.

I had my eyes widened the minute I saw the headline to the news on the internet.

“FAMOUS BUISNESS TYCOON’S DAUGHTER PREGNANT?” It read.

I held on to my chest the minute I felt attacked on the internet.

“Do you have an explanation for any of this?” he asked.

I didn’t know what to say exactly as I stayed mute staring at my screen.

I moved over to the comment section of the news and was shocked to see so many hate comments.

“Pregnant for who?…”

“A slut, you mean!!…”

“Who’s the Tycoon now?”

“An heiress, what a shame”

“How the hell did any of this get into the internet?” I asked myself as I scrolled down the comment section feeding my eyes of the sudden hate I was getting from the readers.

“You better start talking to the young woman!!” he yelled from his end.

Cold shivers ran down my spine as I went on and on with the news alongside my father yelling into my ears.

It felt as though I was to end it all right there in my room.

“I need an explanation, woman!!” he yelled.

“I…” I stuttered at the sound of his voice.

“Speak up and stop blabbing!!” he yelled.

“I don’t know how any of that got to the press” I said.

“So you are saying that it is indeed true!” he shot aggressively at me.

I could feel the disappointment in his voice as he spoke over the phone.

“Are you trying to have my name dragged on to the slum?” he asked.

“I don’t know how that got out to the public!” I said.

“Wait, how did any of such nonsense happen?” he asked, yelling at me.

“I don’t know Dad” I responded tapping my feet to the bed feeling more anxious.

“How the hell do you mean you know nothing about the news getting to the press and even worse, to the public?” My father yelled over the phone.

I felt my hands trembling at the sound of him yelling over the phone hearing about the news getting to everyone around town and even beyond.

“I’m dead serious right now Dad”

“I swear, I know nothing about any of that!!” I shot back on my end of the call.

“Don’t play with me girl!” he said angrily over the phone.

And I could tell he was ready to pounce on me this instant.

I had felt so confused at this point, seeing how messed up the whole situation was getting.

“I only leave you girls for a minute, and now you both have the whole town breathing down on my neck,” he yelled on his end, sounding so angry.

“And most especially you Isabella!!” he said.

I stood trembling waiting for him to probably get tored of yelling and may want to turn off the call.

I had my hand fidgeting with the sleeves of my dress.

“You had better fix this!!” he yelled from the other end up of the call as he hung up aggressively.

I knew for sure that was just the beginning of it all.

“Who’s the father?” he asked.

I stood still in search of the right words to say about what had happened exactly, and not sound delusional.

“I…”

“I have no Idea Father” I finally voiced out.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN!!!”…
