Will You Be My Daddy?

After sinking her little baby teeth in the arms of the bad man who held her tightly, Little Rosie freed herself from his hold and ran to the direction that they were coming from. Her little foot took her forward as she desperately ran from the men. Unfortunately, her feet were too little to take her that far as the men quickly caught up with her and carried her In their arms causing her to cry out and her tears streamed out more.

She kicked and struggled in their arms, using her nails to scratch their skin and biting them in different parts of their bodies causing them to shriek and let her go for the second time.

This time, she put every effort into her speed and ran with all of her strength with the hope of getting away from the child traffickers. She didn't run too far from them before her soft little body crashed into something hard or someone hard who seemed to be walking in that direction causing her to wince in pain.

Rosie’s eyes raised to stare at the person she thought was a wall and she clutched his shirt tightly.

“Mister, mister, please save me,” she cried. This man doesn't look like the other men who had ripped jeans and ragged shirts. His looks were decent and he was wearing a dress that makes him seem responsible and trustworthy. She knew then that he was a good person and he might save her from the child traffickers.

“What are you doing here, kid?” Marcel asked.

“Th…they…they will take me from my mommy”

“Who? Where are they?”

“They..they,” she pointed to the direction she was running from as she tried to catch her breath and stared at the man with every single hope she had left in her.

The man didn't need to look at the direction she pointed at for a long time because two men came running to them from that direction and stood three footsteps away with their hands on their waist and Little Rosie hid behind the man’s legs and glared at the traffickers.

“Bring the child to us. She's none of your business. Leave her or we'll force you to,” One of the men threatened which made Marcel chuckle in amusement.

“Sorry but she’s none of your business either, I guess. Why don't we ask the child then? Little girl, you want to go with them?”

Little Rosie shook her head and replied in a tiny voice.

“No.”

“You heard her, right? She doesn't want to come with you. You can't force a child like that.”

“Give her to us now or…”

“Dont fucking raise your voice at me, bastard. I dislike it,” his lips thinned as he roared at the men.

The men stared at him as if they couldn't believe that someone had the guts to raise his voice at them. If it were someone else, they would have been running by now.

“You’re going to regret this, you piece of baggage,” the man in the front gritted his teeth.

Marcel laughed.

“I should be saying that to you, you bugbear.”

Suddenly the man at the front plunged at him and carrying the child in his arms, Marcel dodged his kick. His free hand moved to hold the leg of the man which was still in the air and twisted it, causing it to create a snapping sound. The man screamed.

Seeing this, one of the two other men stepped forward and threw a blow at him which caused him to stagger backward a little. With his hand, he pressed the face of the child into his neck so she wouldn't see the next scene and his hands got hold of the arm of the other man, twisting it around and throwing him on the floor. The last man, seeing the fall of his colleagues, gave no second glance and ran for his life at full speed.

“Boring people,” Marcel's lips twitched.

He walked with the little girl in his arms outside of the quiet area before finding Hardy and dropping the girl in her feet.

“You’re awesome, Daddy,” the little girl flashed him a wide smile.

“What? Me, daddy?”

Suddenly she held onto his legs and battling her eyes at him, she asked.

“Will you be my daddy?”

Before he could say anything, Hardy walked up to him and smiled.

“It's a good thing you saved the little girl, boss. Who would have thought that she would be this cute? She even called you daddy.”

“Shut up, Hardy.” His eyes returned to the kid who was peering at him and he squatted to her height. He forced himself to smile at the little girl and held her shoulders.

“You can't call anyone you see ‘daddy.’ Where are your parents?” He asked.

The little girl’s face fell and she looked at the floor before answering.

“Mommy must be crying looking for me. I was disobedient and I slipped away from her. But daddy is here now. You're going to take me to mommy.”

“Kid, you can't call everyone your father. Your father would get sad if he hears you calling anyone ‘daddy’ except for him.”

She frowned.

“I don't have a daddy. You'll be my daddy right? You look like me, see? We even have the same eye color,” she pointed out.

Marcel chuckled. The naivety of this child reminds him of someone and he couldn't help but smile as he remembered the certain someone. A certain naive someone. Now that he looks at this child, they sure have the same eye color. Sea blue eyes and she looks somewhat similar and familiar to him. Shaking the thought out of his head, he handed over his phone to the girl and asked.

“Do you know your mommy’s phone number.”

“En.”

“Then dial it here and give her a call, okay,” he patted the child’s hair and watched as she swiftly dialed her mother’s number and pressed the call button without being told. Like he directed, she gave her mother a call.

It didn't take ten minutes, before little Rosie saw her mother rushing towards them and she ran to her. Izabelle quickly raised her daughter into her arms and gave her a tight hug, kissing her at the sides of her face. Pushing her mother’s face a little she exclaimed.

“Mommy look, I found daddy.”

Izabelle didn't understand her daughter until she saw her turn a little and stare at someone behind her.

She raised her head and met with icy dark eyes.
