3. Home Sweet Home

"There is an opening just about a mile ahead," she said.

We already drove for about 2 hours, and now entering a forest area with smaller road and thick vegetation in the either side of it. The large trees makes as if we went through a tunnel of greens. Morning sun rays beaming through the dense branches.

Andy was whined when I made it clear that he won't be included in this journey, he is an adult yet sulking like a 4 years old. We were finished the conversation when Moira done cooking breakfast for the three of us. It was a simple breakfast, but knowing that my mate can cook makes me loves her more. She wiggle out of my lap because Andy is there joining the breakfast, and didn't want to offend him.

"Seriously, this is so far away from the last bus stop. What will you do if I didn't drive you? Walking this far by yourself?" I shook my head in disbelief.

She giggled. "I'll just call pop, he will send someone to pick me up."

Oh, how I forgot that she lives with an alpha family.

"Why don't you have your own truck?" I asked again.

"I didn't have a license yet, I just turned 17 two months ago," she said. I nodded.

She is so young. Her beauty tricked me, I should have know.

"How old are you, Drake?"

"I will turned twenty in 6 months," I answered.

"I just thinking about ...." She stop talking.

"About what?"

"What if my family don't like you?" She mumbled while looking outside the window.

I chuckled. "They'll know right away that we are meant to be together."

She giggled again. "That is one hell of confidence," she mocked, lean over to pecks my cheek, leave a tingle that still there even after few seconds she was retreating.

She is lovely.

"Here," she said while pointing at the opening that split the forest for a good five meters. Another green tunnel.

I spin the steering wheel to the left and entering the dirt path.

"Turn left," she said when the road splitted into two ahead of us.

About a mile later, we entering a gate with 'Riverdale' written above it.

Here I thought this pack was a myth. Riverdale was a pack known producing so much white wolves in history. I knew my mate is special just from her eyes, but knowing she is from Riverdale, there must be something more. Few decades ago, there is a bad news told us about this pack being annihilated by the hunters, guess the remains moves here to hide their existence.

White wolves mostly born with gifts, be they are elemental, can use magic, a seer, have a superpower, can shift since a young age, and many more. They are sacred and rare, but mostly died in young age, or mateless.

Few buildings appeared as the trees getting less and less, showing a view of housing.

"Park the car there," she said, pointing to what seems like a parking lot. There are two big trucks, two pick up trucks, five cars, three ATVs, and ten bikes parked neatly under the canopy.

Why did no warrior in security duty around here?

I park my white Fortuner in an available space. Then get out to open Moira's door. She was rushed to go home and brought nothing except what she wear and her phone.

"What a gentleman." She smiled.

"Anything to keep you happy, My Love," I teased back.

We walked with holding hands to a building that could be mistaken as a mini castle, as it is clearly an old building with stone walls and iron fence, has three story with something looks like a tower behind it. I gawk at it.

"Uh ... what is this?"

"Our family house in the top floor, office, kitchen, and utility room in the first floor." She said, amused with my reaction.

We entered the porch with stone floor, and I sit on the one of the wrought iron benches that have pillow seats on top of them.

A woman in white sundress walk out from the opened big wooden double door. She is clearly Moira's mother. My mate run to hug her.

"Why didn't you call? Someone could get you from the bus stop." The woman scolded her.

Moira laughed. "I'm home alright, Mama."

The woman seems like realized my presence. "Oh, you come with someone?"

Moira seems to be nervous. I stand to greet her. "Good afternoon, Ma'am."

"Good afternoon, Young Man. Care to introduce him to me, Moira?" she teased her daughter.

"Um ... Ma, this is Drake. He want me to introduce him as my future husband," she mumbled with a red face, I can't hold myself from laughing.

"Oh! Nice catch, Daughter Dear. You have a good eye, do you?" she said. Moira coughed.

"Where should Drake sleep? I'll show him the room." Her attempt to escape from the tease is obvious.

"Oh, shouldn't he sleep with you?" Her mom asked confusedly.

Bet Moira want the earth to swallow her, now.

"Who sleep with who?" A heavy man's voice boomed from the same entrance Moira's mom has came from.

An elder man with grey hair appeared. Despite his age, every werewolves would know immediately that he is an alpha from that oozing aura and intimidating built.

His eyes found me, scrutinizing. I let out my own alpha aura to satisfy his judgmental gaze.

It worked.

"Pop, this is Drake," said Moira. I don't think he care who my name is. All I seen at his expression was screaming 'stay away fron my pup'.

Honestly, I understood how all of this coming, he just being in a protective mode. Guess my mate is precious to him.

He seems to be realized what I am, and I used the chance to walk over and hold my hand for a handshake. The old man looks like he is forgot about his attempt to get scary and just shake my hand.
