A gasp left my mouth the moment my eyes flew open and I found myself yet in the Palace. It must have been a dream but it felt so real.
A sharp pain stung my chest and I screamed in awe while clenching my chest tight with my hands, my senses resurfaced as I lifted my head to see blood trailing down Adolph's arms as his hands were dug into Alaric's body.
The sight of seeing Alaric's blood spilling on the ground, the sight of his skin going pale, the sight of blood gushing from his mouth as he struggled for his life.
The feeling of pain in him, the feeling of pain in me and the spinning of my head made everything worse for me. I tried to yell but words didn't seem to be leaving my mouth.
Alaric's eyes finally met with my startled eyes as his lips curled up in a painful smile at the sight of me. He was smiling at me while his eyes were closing shut and his hands were no longer fighting for his life.
"Lenora," Clara called with fear in her eyes as her body shook beside Tala who couldn't seem to comprehend what was happening.I signalled to Alaric that I would like to go closer to them in hopes that he would let go of my waist but he didn't, he held them even more firm as he walked me towards them."Lenora, I knew you would turn out to be the best" Clara forced a smile on her face while sweat filled her body."I just knew you were special right from the start and all of these were just a scheme to bring your inner spirit out...""Just shut the fuck up Clara! Do you think I would even take a second to believe you after everything you've done to me? You were so comfortable with wanting to kill m
It's been 2 weeks since Adolph left the Palace and it has also been 2 weeks since I declared my love for Alaric. Everything has been working just fine for us ever since and I sincerely hope that it'll last forever. I do not wish to encounter any more problems, I've suffered enough since I was born and I could say I needed to feel nothing but joy henceforth. Tala and Clara on the other hand have been suffering in the same cell for two weeks, they've been eating fine as I promised but their food has always been laced with wolfsbane. I made sure to put a trusted person who would be in charge of that, I didn't want it to be a situation whereby they get to be pitied. At first they were reluctant to eat their food and that went on for only three or four days as their body cried for food. They had no choice but to eat what would slowly kill them eventually. I
"I love you too, Alaric" I whispered as tears streamed down from my eyes. This was literally the sweetest thing anyone had ever said to me.I have never thought he was the type to do something like this but damn this makes me really happy."I don't know why im fucking nervous," he chuckled as we both burst out in laughter."It's fine," I replied amidst my laughter."Lenora Hunter, will you be my forever?" He asked as he brought out a white little box cont
LENORA'S POV"I walked back to the dance floor as I just wanted to have fun without having to think of any past girlfriend that Alaric had once made out with. The image and thought of them being together in the past made my skin itch as my blood boiled in anger.I should probably calm the fuck down since there was nothing attached to her visit but why the hell would she even visit."A drink please!" I said to the waiter who was walking by with a tray of some flavored drink in his hand. He handed over a glass to me which I gulped down almost immediately before coughing. The drink definitely contained some large volume of alcohol yet I drank them.Alaric would kill me if he found out that I drank a
ALARIC'S POVI didn't expect Camila to come here or how she found out about Lenora's pregnancy but whatever she came for wouldn't be pure as I don't trust her a bit.I had known she would say some crazy things to Lenora. I wasn't disappointed when Lenora came to me with a broken heart crying in my chest. I had no words to say to her as Camila was right. I couldn't mark her while she was pregnant. But I had wanted Lenora to know about this thing personally from me and not someone she definitely doesn't like. Even though I had
"Are you okay?" Ariel's voice interrupted me as I quickly nodded my head. I had been lost in my thoughts and didn't even realize I had arrived at school yet. Today is my birthday and the day I will get to meet my mate, but I was feeling nervous about it. "You're thinking about Asher, aren't you?" She asked with a cocked brow as her grey eyes stared deeply into my soul. It mostly amuses me how quickly she could read my emotions, but then she's my oldest friend after all, and also the sister of Asher, who happens to be my boyfriend. "Maybe," I answered, almost sottovoce. If he happens to be your mate, great; if not, you're one lucky girl." She waved her arms dramatically. I really couldn't put down the fact that she hated Asher, even though he was her biological brother, and she claims he's a jerk. She got upset the moment she found out I loved him and almost killed me when she found out that I confessed my feelings to him and proposed a
Everyone soon entered the long coaster bus that was going to take us to school. I found the only empty seat in the front of the bus, so I sat down there. I tried to scan through the whole bus for the boy and maybe show my gratitude to him, but he was at the other end of the bus. There was no way I would be able to walk past all of these rogues to the end of the bus. I was too shy for that. I hadn't realized I was staring at him until his face caught mine and I adjusted myself in embarrassment. Something about his eyes was weird and strange, but I decided to shove the thoughts away. After the long ride back to school comes to an end, I would probably thank him. After what seemed like forever, we finally arrived at school with two heavily loaded wolf guards waiting outside the bus and examining every rogue before they came down from the bus. "Lenora?" A guard's voice called, and I immediately recognized him. He used to be really close to our fam
"Aren't you two supposed to be in your classes?" A familiar thick voice growled in a tone that came out as a command rather than a question. We both turned to see Alaric standing straight beside the door with his hands tucked in his jeans pocket. He wasn't wearing the blood stained cloth he was putting on earlier; rather, he changed into another shirt even though they were both white. "We were just leaving. I'm sorry," Ariel stuttered as she stood up in an attempt to balance herself. I kept on staring in awe because I couldn't put into words why everyone was like this around him. I have known Ariel to be fearless, but she's literally scared of this big thug in front of us. "Let's go, Nora," she said as she dragged me out of the room, her hands shaky and feeble beneath mine, and I felt terrible about it. I could feel the hatred and anger growing in me because of the pain he was inflicting on the people I loved. For the first time, my eyes did n
