Chapter 8: Strange Place

Jenna/ Sr. Claire's POV

'I think people in this town are not normal,' I keep telling myself as I sit there in Mr. Odega's home with my fingers fiddling together and eyes wandering around the house. I am waiting for him as he went upstairs to change.

Mr. Odega after pulling me out of the room brought me straight to his home. There was no one here except a maid and his driver.

His house is three blocks away from the house of Mr. McCarthy. It's a modern designed house from the outside but inside, it is filled with those classic antiques. There's a huge transformation of the outside from the inside of his home. It feels like you are back in those days when you live accordingly to etiquette.

Except for the huge wolf's portrait on the hall that growls with blood dripping from its teeth, sort of scaring me a little. It feels like the wolf is watching me while I sat there alone.

From what I see around this town, the people sure are obsessed with wolves. "Oh no, what if they are wolves...
