Chapter 7: Unlucky Day

Harold POV:

I quickly rushed Susie into the Vet. Susie is three years old and she has never once become sick like this. I didn’t know what Selina did to her to make her situation like this. I’m worried sick while waiting for the waiting area as the Vet checked on Susie. She was the only one I had, I can’t afford losing Susie.

Not that long, the Vet went out of the room. I immediately stood up to go to her. She took out her gloves and pulled down her mask.

“She’s fine now, we gave her an IV and antibiotics,” the Vet said. “We have to admit her here tonight until tomorrow morning so we can check on her.”

“Thank you, Doc. May I know the reason why she vomited like that?”

“Well, it's expired dog food. That’s what the lab result showed,” she replied. “But you don’t have to worry now. You have to be more careful next time.”
