Prologue

Marco

Her scent, always a delicate bouquet of flowers, had been tainted by the metallic tang of blood. It wrapped around her like a sinister shroud, stealing away her natural fragrance.

Couldn't tear my gaze away from her – her once soft skin torn open, bleeding out like some brutal art piece. Each drop hit hard, a slap in the face. Life had slipped away from her with a merciless finality, leaving behind nothing but emptiness and despair in its wake.

Softly, I turned her face as she lay in my arms. Her eyes, wide open, didn't meet mine even when I forced myself before them. They were void of life, blank, already somewhere I didn't belong. The beauty that they once held now held nothing but emptiness, a void I can't fill no matter how hard I try.

I watched the relentless flow of blood from multiple bullet wounds, six shots... She endured six shots for me.

Each crimson stream felt like a dagger to my heart, a painful reminder of her sacrifice. She didn't hesitate, didn't flinch as the bullets tore through her flesh, all for the sake of protecting me.

I hugged her lifeless form, the stench of blood mingled with her once-fragrant hair. Each strand, was now drenched in her own blood. It mocked my desperate longing for her presence.

I yearned for a sign, a whisper of her essence to cling to for the rest of my life. But all I found was the cold emptiness of loss, a gaping chasm, the relentless void...

In that void, I'm lost. Lost in a world without her, without her laughter, her touch. It was like being stranded in the dark, with no stars to guide me home.

How will I go on when the very essence of my being is gone?

For all my strength, all my power, I was powerless to save her. And now, all that remained was the bitter taste of failure, mingled with the acrid scent of death.

I wipe the blood from her face, my lips brushing against hers. They're cold, devoid of life, as I steal one final kiss from her icy lips.

Her lips, once warm and inviting, now chilled to the bone. It was a bittersweet farewell, a moment frozen in time, as I imprinted the memory of her on my soul.

With every touch, I clung to the fragments of her, knowing that soon, even these fleeting moments would fade into darkness.

"I'll rip their world apart for taking you from me," I promised her one last time.

Her death wasn't the end; it would be the catalyst for my wrath, the trigger for my unleashed fury. They'll beg for mercy, but I'll show them none. Every drop of blood spilled in her name will be a symphony of vengeance.

They stole my joy, so I'll rob them of everything they hold dear— their lives, their very existence, their entire world.

I'll kill them, every last one of them...
