"Did you feel like you both were the only people in this world when he was with you?" Zoe asked and she nodded her head shyly, this left Zoe sad but seeing her friend all happy, she had no choice but to be happy with her...

"What does it mean, Zoe?" Arabella questions as she stares back at her friend with eyes full of anticipation... Zoe didn't know if she should tell her or not, but at the end of her long thought, she decided to tell her...

" Mama says if you are with someone and you feel like it's only both of you in the world, it means you are in love...

" She explains and Arabella frowns, not understanding what she is talking about as she stares at her with a confused expression...

" What is love?"Arabella questions, she was clueless about what it meant and the curiosity to know the meaning was way stronger...

" Uhm, mama said love is when you always want to be close to someone" Zoe explains and this got Arabella to frown more...

" But, I like spending time with you," she said...

" Does it mean I love you?" She questions again and this got Zoe stuck, not being able to answer her...

" We are friends...I think that's why you feel that way" Zoe explains thoughtfully and little Arabella nods her head...

" Does that mean I am in love with...Rowan?!" She exclaims at the realization, staring at Zoe with wide eyes and Zoe just nods her head...she is so red and happy as she starts jumping up and down while little patches her with no words left...

"Hi, what's making you all happy?" Rowan's voice rings from behind causing the excited Arabella to stiff and Zoe to frown hard...

"R-Rowan...what are you doing here?" Arabella was unable to believe he was standing right next to her...

"to check on you, of course..." he holds onto her hand and flashes her a sweet smile... Arabella was stunned by his action as she stared down at her hand, silently enjoying the warmth of his body... Zoe was way angrier seeing him so close to her but not wanting to cause any more trouble, she stayed quiet. Silently absorbing her sadness...

" How is your hand?" He questions checking on her right elbow...

" uhh, it's fine...Zoe help me apply some ointment and plaster" she said and he nodded his head...

" Why act like you care all of a sudden after hurting her?" He questions mockingly staring at Zoe who was trying so hard to keep her calm...

" you know nothing about me, so don't you dare question my love and friendship for Arabella..." Zoe said sternly at him and his mockery face was now frowning, he didn't know she would be this harsh...

" Yes, Rowan...Zoe will never hurt me" Arabella defended and little Rowan turned his gaze to her...

"Really? then what about yesterday?" He questions and Arabella is speechless, as she stares back at him with mixed emotions...Zoe stays silent, waiting to hear her response. Arabella meets her gaze as they stare at themselves for some time...

" she- It was a mistake...but I know she won't do it again...I trust her" her words made Zoe smile, knowing that she trust her so much to still stay by her side after what she did to her was too good to be true and with that, she took it upon herself to always make her happy and never hurt or make her sad...

" don't be blind by her facades, she is not what you think," He said feeling angry as he stares at Zoe with a gaze that could kill...Zoe frowns wondering why he keeps on saying bad things about her and always tries to make her look like the bad person before Arabella...No one knows what is going on in his mind and what he was up to, Arabella shakes her head in denial, refusing to accept his words...

" No Rowan, Zoe is not like that...she is the nicest person I have ever known" She was clueless about what was going on but what she knew was her best friend has always been truthful and the best person in her life...

" Ok then...if you say so. Come let me show you something" he pulls on Arabella making her follow him but after taking three steps, she stops and runs back to her friend who just stood there gazing at them..."come on, Zoe...let's go" she urges pulling on her hand and only then did Zoe move...she thought Arabella will leave without her but seeing her pulling her along makes her more than happy...They walk till when they were finally at Rowan's home, he brought out a package and give it to Arabella...

"what's inside?" She questions confusedly...

"why not check it out, yourself?" He urges with a big smile. Arabella gazed at Zoe who nodded at her before opening the big box...she was surprised at what was inside, the thing she has always wished to have but never got the opportunity to get...

" puppy?" She exclaims not believing her eyes...

"Is it mine?" She questions and Rowan nods his head smiling sweetly at her...

"Really?" she stares at him this time, wanting him to be sure of his words..." Yes, it's yours" he assured and Arabella excitedly hugged him...

"thank you, Rowan...I love puppies" she confesses...

" I know" he hugs her back and gazes at Zoe who stares at them with no expression on her face...he smiles mockingly at her and Zoe rolls her eyes, gazing in the other direction...

" Wow, it's so cute" Arabella praised touching the puppy...

" Where did you get this? and how?" She questions wanting to know how he got it...

"I asked dad to get me one...and he did...simple" he explains proudly...

"Wow, that's nice..." Rowan is the only child of his parents and whatsoever he asked of them, they always give him...

"Isn't it cute, Zoe?" She asked, still playing with the puppy...

" Yes, it is...very," Zoe said honestly as she crunched to the ground to touch the puppy…
