ANTONELLA’S POV

The morning sun beam peeked through the clouds and penetrated the thin curtain with which my windows had been covered, it’s golden light shining directly on my face. I groaned as I turned lazily to the other side of the bed but the morning birds were not left out as well as they carried on with their early morning ritual of chirping.

Muttering some inaudible words, I stood up lazily but I was greeted by the pain from my wrist. I winced in pain as I looked at the wrist again. I had totally forgotten about it.

I let out a sigh as I sat up slowly and stretched before rolling my eyes to the left and to the right again as an exercise for my eyes. I stood up immediately and proceeded to the window, opening it wide to embrace a new breath of air.

Somehow, I was glad and I knew today was indeed going to be a very beautiful day. I looked at my wrist again as I wondered why it had not healed completely. Of course, it was supposed to!
